So I think I figured out where PrimeNumber7 got this bonkers idea from that the president can just say any document is personal and then take it home with him to keep when he's no longer President anymore.

The raid on Trumps house was because he stole thousands of government documents and then refused to give them back and lied about having them.
Its too bad that Trump has the unilateral authority to decide which documents are personal, and which documents are those of his administration (government property), and this is not something that is judicially reviewable. Are you suggesting that Trump intentionally decided that the documents that was brought to his home were government property, and intentionally took them? Trump also had the unilateral authority to decide which documents are declassified. It defies logic that Trump would take documents without first declassifying them.

When Bill Clinton was president, he kept an audio journal for a future memoire.  Nobody knew about it when he was president, and he hid the tapes in his sock drawer.  After he left office, word got out and the right wing activist group Judicial watch sued for access to the tapes citing the presidential records act.  The judge ruled that Clintons personal recordings of himself were personal records, not presidential records, and Judicial Watch lost the law suit.

That's it.  That's the case that Trump is trying to use to argue that he had the right to take pretty much whatever the fuck he wanted, including documents classified at the highest levels.  Apparently his lawyers even brought up the case in a recent filing.  I'm guessing PrimeNumber7 heard some right wing idiot pitching the idea and just ran with it without using his brain first and has since realized how stupid it is (since he kind of dropped it after I pointed out the stupidity).

^^^ Trump had declassified the other docs.

At this point it's pretty clear that's a lie.  Here are a few reasons:

- There's no evidence he declassified them.
- He's only made that claim off the record.  In court, where lying has real consequences, no claims have been made that the documents were declassified.
- Dozens of former Trump staffers, including 3 of his chiefs of staff had said there was no standing order to declassify anything.
- I don't think any former staffers have backed up his claim.
- It's Donald Trump.

Don't be so gullible.

And if Trump were innocent don't you think PrimeNumber7 would be coming up with something better than "You really don't know what Clinton, or Obama took because their houses weren't raided by their political opponents." to defend him?

Still playing like you have all the evidence, and that your hearsay is the right hearsay.

Why won't you tell us what you really have against Trump? Why do you select him and pick on him in such detail, when there are thousands of others who have done far worse things and far fewer good things?

^^^ Trump had declassified the other docs.

You keep hanging onto hearsay in the wild attempt to get rid of Trump somehow. Why? You don't point fingers at Obama or Clinton nearly as much as Trump. What is it that he did to you that makes you so against him? Come on out with it so that the rest of us know.

Could it really be that you have a one-track mind, and that you are a hateful person down deep, and Trump just happens to be your focus this time? I mean, all you have to do is look at the track records of both Biden and Trump. You can easily see the mess we are in under Biden. But we weren't anywhere near this kind of mess with Trump. In fact, things were getting better with Trump.

Yet, you don't pick on Biden anywhere near as much as you pick on Trump. Is it that you are Biden's good buddy, and that you are trying to take the focus off his stupidity and wickedness by placing it on Trump? MAGA... are you a foreign plant of some kind that you are so against America?

In simple words, say a short paragraph or two, tell us why you are so irritated with a few little hearsay things Trump might have done, but you barely mention all the Clinton/Obama/Biden out-in-the-open things that they did and that Biden is still doing.

I mean, yeah, I guess we can't say with absolute certainty that Trump was the first president to steal classified documents on his way out of office and then keep them in his basement as a civilian..  Just the first to get caught.  But, I think it's a pretty safe assumption to make that no other president has done that, especially at the scale Trump did.

Here's the rest of the quote from Barr on Fox News:

Quote
“And how long is the government going to try to get that back? They jaw bone for a year. They were deceived on the voluntary actions taken. They then went and got a subpoena. They were deceived on that, they feel, and the facts are starting to show that they were being jerked around. And so how long, you know, how long do they wait?”
You really don't know what Clinton, or Obama took because their houses weren't raided by their political opponents.

I suppose it's possible Obama stole a bunch of sensitive documents and got away with it because National Security was not taken seriously while he was in office.  I think it's more likely Obama didn't steal anything though.  But agree, who knows?

The specific location the documents were stored in was the same location that classified documents were stored in when Trump was President. The entire compound is under 24/7 secret service protection, and the location in question is likely more secure than many SCIFs, including the one in Hilary Clinton's closet. There was no urgency in getting the documents back. There is no reason why the government couldn't have sought to enforce the subpoena.

No, a SCIF is more secure than Trumps basement/floor of his closet/desk drawer at a country club that has been known to be infiltrated by foreign agents and membership requires a big check, not a security clearance.

Recovering stolen documents classified at the highest levels is and urgent matter of National Security.

The government did seek to enforce a subpoena.  Trump pretended to comply - returned one envelope of classified documents and had his lawyer and former OANN anchor certify that there were no more classified documents on property.  I've already explained all this to you, keep up.

You really don't know what Clinton, or Obama took because their houses weren't raided by their political opponents.

i think this is the first time in decades that an ex-president's house has been raided by the fbi, it's also natural because trump brought a lot of classified documents into his private home, which is supposed to be in the national archives building... but the biden administration should have used it a more "friendly" move because after all trump is a former president and he should be respected regardless of the controversy

The National Archives asked him to return all documents.  He gave them 15 boxes.  They figured out he still had some.

DOJ subpoenaed him for all documents.

Trump invited them to come pick up the rest in Florida.  They gave them an envelope and a lawyer swore that was it, no more documents (but they wouldn't let them look in any of the boxes in his basement.

You left out the part when the National Archives sought to judicially enforce the subpoena. Oh wait.....that never happened.

The National Archives followed proper protocol and informed the DOJ when they realized that Trump had stolen sensitive government documents and refused to return them as a civilian, more than a year after losing the election.

Yep, you missed the most important thing. You missed the 'thank you' for informing you about what's really going on in the world. Of course, your little recap is brief enough that it is easily missing a lot. But you should even be paying me for helping you finally get some of it right.

Yeah, I think you covered most of the them, albeit you could browse his post history and
probably come up with hundreds more that are just as deluded, if not more.
In my 9 years of hanging out on bitcointalk, I can say without doubt, no one comes close to the sheer volume of lunacy BADecker
spams this forum with.  And I'm quite sure I am not alone in this assessment.

His first post was almost exactly 8 years ago.

Since then he's averaged about 12 posts a day and created almost 1,000 new threads.  No signature campaign...but....Vast majority of threads are same format and just a link + summary of article from fake news site.  Often ends with something like

Be sure to click the links in the various articles to see how widespread this actually is, and to see how it is coming out into the open.

He's either a paid shill for fake news or he's 100% insane.  Or both.  Probably both.

Bill Barr, Trumps Attorney General also thinks it's unusual, here's what he had to say:

“People say this was unprecedented, well, it’s also unprecedented for a president to take all this classified information and put them in a country club, okay?”

How would Bill Barr know what other presidents did with documents that were at one point classified? Absent similar raids on former presidents, it is really not possible to know what other former presidents did.

Here is the answer to why so many are against Trump. The straight forward answer is simple. But the working of it is more detailed.

The direct answer is this. Trump wants to make America great. World big-money people want to make America part of a world government that they control. It will take a bit of thinking to understand how world control works, with all the nations being equal to each other. But that's how it works. No nation greater than any other. And the people dumbed down enough to not realize what is happening.

Trump, himself, isn't much. He's overweight, and not a man I would want to be physically or mentally like... necessarily. The thing that is important is that he is broadcasting freedom for the masses. And as President, he was carrying it out... at least in appearance.

But imagine that behind Trump's freedom show was really a plan to enslave people. To enslave, you have to dumb them down enough that they think they are free, but really aren't. I mean, give the people the illusion of freedom, but don't really release the chains (Putin). Trump wasn't doing that. He was really giving freedom. You can see it in some of the deregulating he was doing, which Biden reversed as much as he could.

You can't take the freedom away from truly free people. How far can you go giving the illusion of freedom, without finally giving true freedom? True freedom, when you think about it deeply, is a form of enslavement, itself. When/if the world is all truly free... when all the nations are totally free as individual people... then they are enslaved to their own ideas of what freedom is... even if it is something that is not free. Big-money doesn't realize this, and so they are against the one thing that will make people slaves... true freedom.

Why is Big-money missing this? They are impatient. They want it now. After all, it has taken hundreds (or thousands) of years, and they haven't gotten real control, yet. And the reason why is their stumbling point. They always act too soon... like they are doing with Biden.

The point is that they hate Trump because he appears to be taking away from their plan of controlling the world in their lifetime. And they are using every tool they have to destroy him for this... even getting the people to hate him for almost no reason at all, and for far less reason than people would hate Biden.

Cool

If it comes to the Brotherhood or the secret government to take over the world, I used to think that all American presidents are chosen by the secret organization and must be members of it, what makes Trump different from them? Does he have different goals or does he want to get out of control? I don't know, but such things happen completely in secret and it is difficult to judge.
I used to see Trump as a businessman who seeks to achieve his personal interests before achieving the interests of his country.

Now, I'm sure that you won't say that all of these points are good. But can you list some of Biden's good things? Or do you like the depression and the war and the bilking of $billions from the US coffers that make it into Biden's pockets and those of many other government people?

Trump never did anything like that. But Biden is essentially doing it right out in the open with Ukraine.

I checked the list you made of Trump's good accomplishments, well I must say it contains many good things indeed, but I'm not an American and I don't know if these things are good for fellow Americans or not, but I know through the media that Trump has a bad reputation so I can Saying he did bad things also earned him that reputation.
I'm not a fan of President Biden at all, and I don't know if there are any good things he did so I can't give you a list, I'm just saying that all politicians are as bad as each other and they all steal people's money into their own pockets. I'm not saying Trump is better than Biden or vice versa.
In the end, I think it's a media war.

What do you think? Has Biden weaponized the DOJ against his political opponents? Has the DOJ and FBI lost all credibility?

Nope.

Does Biden look like someone that has a mind of his own?

Biden can't even weaponize his dick on women, let alone his brain which he don't have left any.

Someone is weaponizing DOJ though, that's easily visible but It is surely not Biden.

Poor Trump. Nobody should be subject to that kind of torture. Just like he didn't recognize in 2020 the depths to which the Dems would stoop to steal an election, even now he doesn't realize the mess that he will have to clean up in the 4 years following the 2024 election.

They are all worse than each other, Democrats are worse than Republicans and vice versa, but in my opinion Trump was the worst and I do not think that Americans will repeat the mistake again by electing Trump, he raised a lot of problems during his administration in America and in the world as well, so I do not expect him to reach a second term Except through dirty political games.

No one is above the law, it is true that Trump is a former president and has diplomatic immunity, but in fact he is a thief who stole important secret documents related to American national security. There may be political goals behind this incident, but these are matters that can never be tolerated. Trump has done very badly for his country during his presidential term and now he is paying the price for his misdeeds.

Turns out that Trump is going to pay the biggest penalty for his tiny misdeeds. He's going to get elected in 2024, and then he will have the gigantically humongous job of cleaning up the messes - around the world - that the Biden administration and the Dem leaders made with their illegal activities.
