Ok, thanks for your clarification.

There are indeed a few users who have enough 250-votes, but not enough 10-votes to reach a total of 10, but in most cases they lack 250 Merit votes.
Yes, makes sense. A single 250-Merit vote can be splitted in multiple 10-Merit votes but not for the same person. At first, I thought if someone has earned 260 Merit and includes someone in his trust list he should be able to vote one time 250 Merit and one time 10 merit.
But it looks like it isn't calculated this way, otherwise everyone would have at least the same number of 10-Merit votes as he has 250-Merit votes, so I assume every account can only vote one time for another account either it's 250 Merit or 10 Merit.

For example, I have 5 users 250 Merit+ but only 4 users 10-249 Merit.

Seriously though, the "not including merit you yourself sent" rule - or rather you ignoring it - is skewing things a lot, at least for me. According to DdmrDdmr's thingy I have 42 250-votes, not 49.
That is a large difference, guess I'll have to adjust for it. That's going to give interesting results, it can mean a user has more than 250 Merit voting power for one user, and less than 250 for another.

A vote of 250 Merit is equal to 25 votes of 10 Merit and it doesn't reflect in the table from LoyceV.
From what I understand, I think one user with 250 Merit can use one vote for one user as 250 Merit voter, and 25 votes for 25 different users as 10 Merit voter (so 26 votes in total). There are indeed a few users who have enough 250-votes, but not enough 10-votes to reach a total of 10, but in most cases they lack 250 Merit votes.

Each user's number of "votes" in the last two criteria will be limited to floor(earned_merit / (10 or 250, depending on the criteria)). If you trust more people than your limit, then you will vote for the people to whom your vote will be the most useful, more-or-less.
My interpretation:
Suppose you're including A, B and C, but you have only one vote. Now suppose other users also included user A, and user A has enough votes to be DT1 already. Now suppose user B isn't included by enough users to reach DT1. That means your vote would be wasted on user B, so it goes to user C, who then gets included.

People with less than 250 merit don't like me.  Cry

Usually, this shouldn't be a problem. I have also only 1 user with less than 250 Merit who likes me.  Wink

A vote of 250 Merit is equal to 25 votes of 10 Merit and it doesn't reflect in the table from LoyceV.

- You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
- You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

As theymos said before, the votes will be determined how useful they are for someone.

And in a few years, the DT1-election: Rank up pipeline will consist of many users with 250+ earned Merit because in most cases there are much more merited users setting up a custom trust list than new users. Or let's say some former users of the 10 - 249 earned Merit part will be users of 250+ earned Merit in long-term.

@LoyceV do you know if there is a way to know which votes actually count? According to theymos only some votes count (based on earned Merit)

Thank you for a convenient tool to view the requirements for getting into the DT1 list. Now it became easy for users to understand what they lack for getting into DT1. I added information about your work in Russian locale.

Thanks, that actually makes it easier to navigate knowing the logic behind the sorting.

Can you explain your sorting process? It's obviously initially ordered by number of 250+ votes, but then not by number of 10+ votes? With a separate section for users with less than 10 votes overall, and then another separate section for users with no 250+ votes?
I used this:
Code:
ranking 2 2 10
ranking 2 1 10
ranking 2 2 9
ranking 2 1 9
ranking 2 2 8
ranking 2 1 8
ranking 1 1 10
ranking 2 2 7
ranking 2 1 7
ranking 1 1 9
ranking 2 2 6
ranking 2 1 6
ranking 1 1 8
ranking 2 2 5
ranking 2 1 5
ranking 1 1 7
ranking 2 2 4
ranking 2 1 4
ranking 1 1 6
ranking 2 2 3
ranking 2 1 3
ranking 1 1 5
ranking 2 2 2
ranking 2 1 2
ranking 1 1 4
ranking 2 1 1
ranking 1 1 3
ranking 1 1 2
ranking 1 1 1
ranking 1 0 1
First digit: users who are included by users with 250+ (in case there is a "2") or 10+ (in case there is a "1") Merit, and show the largest numbers first
Second digit: minimum number of users in the category choosen above
Third digit: minimum number of inclusions in total
So, "ranking 2 2 10" means: start with all users with 2 or more inclusions from users with 250+ Merit, and at least 10 inclusions in total.
My idea was to make 1 inclusion from 250+ show up slightly higher than someone with 1 inclusion from 10+. And this is the part in which I made it difficult for myself.

I think maybe an easier way would be to list current DT1 members separately, and then all others in a different table by number of 250+ votes?
I'm not touching my code for a while, there were too many problems (all created by myself) Tongue

I encourage anyone to create their own custom Trust list!

I choose Reputation instead of Meta so I can make this topic self-moderated. And I think forum politics fits here better.

Background
A month ago:
is there a way to see one's eligibility? Like how many 10-merit users are including the user?
I may make a rankup list someday

Two weeks ago, I created LoyceV's Trust list viewer in Meta.

It took me until now to tackle this:
I have 4 updates planned
2. I'd like to highlight users who are close to DT1, say with 8 or 9 out of 10 inclusions

DT1 Rank up pipeline
See loyce.club/trust/ranking for the list.

Criteria (green is included by me, red is ignored):
- If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank.
- You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.
- Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries. (I think 9 + DefaultTrust qualifies too)
- You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection.
- You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
- You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
- You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

Sorting
I've made some more or less arbitrary choices for sorting, depending on the number of votes from users with 250+ or 10+ Merit.

Limitation
I have included all users that fit all criteria but lack the required number of inclusions. That means a user with only 1 inclusion is listed.
However, I did not include users who don't have enough (=10) users on their own Trust list. It is possible some users with enough inclusions only need to add one or more users to their own list, and they'll end up on DT1 out of the blue.
That means this list can't be used to detect all new DT1 users early.

DT1-exclusions
I ignore DT1-exclusions, as that happens after the DT1-election. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;dtview for the current exclusions.

Blacklisted users
The following users are blacklisted from voting for DT1 (source):

Updates
I plan to create weekly updates, overwriting old data.

Boring layout
I'm not much of a designer, but I'm open to suggestions.
I would especially appreciate some magic CSS code tables to align the list.

No spam
Other than that: speculate away Cheesy

Disclaimer
I haven't throughly checked all entries, it took a lot of fiddling to get it right, and chances are I made one or more mistakes along the way. If something is wrong, please post it.
I expected the list to be much longer for example, so I may have missed something there.
