In my opinion and the dollar bitcoin different vocation and origin of the currency, but their goals are the same, and the more they need people who use them. I think unwise at this stage to make a choice one way.
WE will see the big black swarm moment when the governments make cash illegal, then we will see millions of dollars per BTC, it will be absolute madness, a lot of people will use BTC to avoid taxes in order to be able to pay the bills.
I would think that the USD is more stable then more valuable than bitcoin so I will go with that for now.

Thats why bitcoin is Ideal currency of traders. and dollars is not. that's why bitcoin getting thousands of daily investors.
this price ups and down make bitcoin very great for trading and getting profit. and that's what bitcoin created for.
bitcoin is not famous like dollar because dollar is United Stated Currency and it is no doubt the super power's money. but bitcoin is also strong enough in its own place.

I have no idea what you are trying to say but for me I think USD is still better currency in compare to bitcoin as it can be used anywhere to buy anything.
But Bitcoin is essentially controlled by major mining pools now. They seem not to exercise their power (at least, openly), but apart from that, they are just like any other financial institution which has control over money (the US dollar or whatever)...
So what's the difference really?

Well it is a strong currency way back it takes so many countries. Saying they are saving them when the truth is they are getting their way up to be popular. That is why even person who dont are not that literate knows what a US dollar is. When they see Americans they scream "Dollar, Dollar, Dollar."

Farther known the us dollar than the bitcoin. Because the dollar is known around the world and wherever you are or in any country you can spent it and you can buy anything you want using us dollar. for me the dollar remains a winner. dollar currently used in almost all countries in the world. while the deployment of bitcoin is still fairly small. but bitcoin is now gradually growing. I'm sure someday bitcoin could rival the dollar.

The united states dollar versus the bitcoin is not a interesting game because we all know that the united states dollar will win always dont matter how many users both got everyone will pay with dollars and not with coins.
Exactly, Bitcoin is not versus with USD, i think Bitcoin has good comparative with Gold. But with bitcoin and versus USD, i prefer to dollar, because in all over the world, we can use dollar easily instead of bitcoin. We all know that we can't use bitcoin in openly, also we use the bitcoin only limited online shopping and mostly countries not accept the bitcoin in government lever.

is bitcoin more popular than US Dollar ?
I think not, because if bitcoin more popular than USD Dollar will there are many stores ( online and offline) who accept bitcoin as payment method. And there are many people who use bitcoin on their live, but for today USD Dollar is still more popular than bitcoin. 
I do not think that the dollar and bitcoin competitors. They are likely to complement each other. If Bitcoin can make money, the dollar is able to fulfill your requests. Neither is the world currency is not gained such popularity as the dollar.
