Not even close. We on this forum are familiar with bitcoin but the vast majority of the world and even America don't know what it is. Most people in the world know what the US dollar is (and of course everyone in America knows what the US dollar is).
I can't believe that majority of America don't know what is BTC I thought that some of the people there know BTC if not I can't blame them.

BTC is evolution of the current payments, it is possible the next generation of bounty within the game, so much more you can do with BTC that couldn't do with USD, like fast payments, easy transaction, and much more.

I think no.USD is still over to bitcoin in terms of popularity.USD is the basis of almost all currencies around the world and  its been managed by governments.Although bitcoin have many subscribers and users usd is still more popular than bitcoin.Bitcoin industry is still depending on usd currency.
USD is still better than the bitcoin, because if calculated, the USD more than the bitcoin, and not everyone knows about bitcoin. but in terms of multiplying, I prefer bitcoin, because it is easier
Once more people figure out what Bitcoin is and why people should use it over USD, you will see the tables being turned quickly. Bitcoin can become more popular, if people really know what the difference is.

Bitcoin {the token} is just that.. a token or a representation of it's currency value... but it is much more than that.... You can use the Blockchain for so much more... and this is where Bitcoin trumps the USD.

yeah, it is true, bitcoin is more better than USD, and whenever people know about bitcoin and learn about all the features of bitcoin then they will leave USD and will prefer bitcoin in every field of finance and business.

i think usd will fall one day and replaced by something else, maybe not bitcoin but somethign else centralized, if the average user will use bitcoin more, then we might see an overcome on current fiat from bitcoin

The price of USD can fall in future but it will not disappear, it will always shows its presence, if more people use bitcoin in future then it can surely affect the growth of dollar in future.

We need to give BTC time to mature and for people to get use to it.
When the US centralized dollar was first introduced, in the late 1700's??, it took a while for it to become the defacto standard across the nation.
Now granted things are a little faster in the world today but BTC still needs to live a while longer to allow people the opportunity to adjust to it.

As you can see USD is from 1700 and Bitcoins was introduced just  8 to 9 years ago. It will take time for full adoption of BTC by all people but the progress done by Bitcoins in just 8 to 9 years is just remarkable.

They go hand in hand right now obviously but I feel that the functionality of Bitcoin is obviously far superior to USD for the facts of low fees, pseudo anonymous, very secure now. The only real problem I've had personally is from all the increased volume from the pre-halving rally is that the first confirmations on a transaction can sometimes take several hours. With USD transferring it's often days so really it's not a big deal but don't expect to be quick and snappy until something about the block size gets done.

is bitcoin more popular than US Dollar ?
Bitcoin is definitely not nearly as popular as the USD, as currently there are 1.45 trillion dollars around, and only 7billion bitcoins, so to answer your question, no as google will also tell you
This is also noticeable because many main retailers and vendors do not consider or plan to use bitcoins, and if bitcoins were more popular than the USD don't you think we'd be seeing bitcoins everywhere and the USD as an external currency where you have to make new online wallets, no physical money, ect

I live in a major city and I always look for and ask if the places I spend my USD accept BTC, I have yet to use BTC once in the real world.

Until people can use BTC for everyday transactions the adoption will be limited to people like us.
Which is kinda ok for me but I do like the general idea behind BTC and someday, not soon, but someday it may replace USD.
I think it has much better chance in places/countries where the idea of money a little less standardized and fixed, like where bartering is prevalent.

Time is changing mate, and it will change in future too when people will start knowing about bitcoin they will start investing their money into bitcoin for sure.

That's right because we are in the modern technology era and as the time goes by with the generation today. People tend to look for the things that
give them convenience at most. And that's for sure with bitcoin.

People who holds bitcoin will surely prefer to use bitcoin at a moment, as they are aware about the potential of bitcoin and they will continue to invest in it.

It's not just about the value of the currency that determines the popularity.
Popularity is based on ease of using and globally accepted currencies.
USD beats most of the currencies at that, let alone bitcoin.

Bitcoin is valuable, but it's definitely not close to as popular as the USD.

At least a lot of people are on this forum and at least there are people actually using bitcoin. That is a huge step already for BTC in my opinion. It has a larger market cap than WU and Twitter already.

USD will not have a future, while BTC will as we move into a cashless society.

well yeah, it seems like people should want to invest their money into bitcoin when they understand all the bad things banks do with their money, though the reality is different to be honest

i think that soon people will choose bitcoin over usd because of the huge inflation happening and because bitcoin is decentralized, i hope my predictions are correct, though its unpredictable

Bitcoin {the token} is just that.. a token or a representation of it's currency value... but it is much more than that.... You can use the Blockchain for so much more... and this is where Bitcoin trumps the USD.

That's true and bitcoin will be more powerful in compare to dollar in future, we just need to have patience and wait for the right time to come as bitcoin holds multiple features then dollar.
Im not agree that bitcoin is more powerful than dollar. Bitcoin is only decentralize currency which can be used in online transaction while dollar this is centralized it can be use anywhere you want and it is well known than bitcoin.

bitcoin is currently still can not beat the dollar. dollar strength is very strong. maybe the next 5 years will equal the dollar strength bitcoin. of the use and value of its currency prices.
Bitcoin is decentralize currency you can only use in online transaction while dollar is centralize currency which can use in all aspect of transaction thats why USD is much powerful than bitcoin but the value i think bitcoin is the huge advantage as of now.
Basically the only thing that USD has over Bitcoin is that more people use it and want it to pay for rent and bills so they can live comfortably. Right now we can't pay for those things directly with BTC and don't work for BTC/hr except in situational occurrences.
