I know this is an old post, but there have been tons of Bitcoin ATMs popping up all over the country, so it's worth bringing up again.

Coin ATM Radar is a great resource that aggregates a whole bunch of ATMs from different providers.

You can also just go to an individual company's website and they usually have heat maps or location pages with more information. For example, Pelicoin is the largest crypto ATM company in the Gulf South of the U.S.

One of our location pages looks like this:

https://www.pelicoin.com/austin-bitcoin-atm-duval-st

So, here you can see a map, hours, information, and customer support. Pretty useful in general.

Happy to answer any specific questions on this forum!

Wow.. It's so great to have Bitcoin ATM in your country. That way will make people easier to get bitcoin or do transactions. Also it will spread bitcoin popularity among people, especially for people who still don't know bitcoin yet.
I hope in near future there will be more Bitcoin ATM in neighborhood.

Wow, that is super cool. Revolutionary! I did not expect to see these types of machines in gas stations back when I first was introduced to bitcoin in 2013, this gets me really excited.
The possibilities are endless, they could put these in malls, food courts, parking etc. I would like it if they were smaller and designed more sleek, so they could look better. That is funny though, you were the first person to use it!!! More people need to hear about bitcoin.

BitCoin ATM's are a great way to introduce Newbies to the Crypto-currencies that will slowly takeover online / digital transactions.

Is there any word on whether or not these BTC ATM's will be rolled out across other service stations under the companies corporate flag or is this a one off in the local market?

The SMS verification takes a little bit of the shine off of the anonymous allure that brings people to BitCoins, however, as time goes on people will either shrug and provide the information, or it will become so routine that it'll be dropped entirely.

Saw on the Bitcoin atm maps there was a new ATM at a gas station nearby.
http://bitcoinbarrel.com/bitcoin-atm-map/

So I went to check it out:

The clerk said they've only had it a week and I was the first person to use it.
I had to enter my phone number and get a confirmation code, and after that just insert cash.

It even printed out a receipt:

I've only used an ATM a few times with this being the first big ATM. Before that they were the smaller Skyhook machines which were still pretty cool.

Anyone else seen Bitcoin ATM in random places?

Am happy to see and hear this...its really a good and welcomed idea, though i look forward going through this process, with bitcoin!!!!

Wow! When i see your post! i can't help to say Wow! this is amazing! This is only means that the development of bitcoins in terms of popularity was now materialised! no wonder if many people will use bitcoins now and many will attract to study more about bitcoins!the price of bitcoins now was continuously increasing plus having atm somewhere was a good sign that bitcoins will become global currency.

Yes its definitely good to see this kind of latest improvement in bitcoin. I'm also looking forward that this kind of technology would be available in any country so bitcoin users would experience the ease in making any transaction anywhere and anytime. I hope that kind of ATM will also be available in my country so it will be easier for me to cash out since I often withdraw some of my coins for buying some stuffs here.

BitcoinBarrel

1) How much did they charge (premium) over "spot price"?  Around here, the BTC ATMs charge a very high 14% premium.  (In Vancouver (on a recent vacation) it was closer to 7%.)

2) Did you have to supply ID?  (Once in NYC I did not have to supply ID, I would guess that has changed.)

1. It is very convenient, only 5% to buy Bitcoins, %7 to sell I believe.

2. No ID was required, just text code confirmation.

My city just got a new Bitcoin ATM which only charges 9% over "spot".  That is much better than 14%.  So yeah, I bought some today.  I can live with 9%.  Besides, BTC went up some 5% in price after I bought.

Same re no ID, just an SMS message.  MUCH better than before.

I dont think these machines have a future anymore. Now we have lots and lots of different debit BTC cards which you can use at ANY ATM, I really do not see the point of having one of these BTC ATMs or using them.
Those Bitcoin debit cards do incur quite some fees as compared to these Bitcoin ATMs. The Bitcoin debit cards can be a hassle to use with all the identity verification and the cost of the card itself. A Bitcoin debit card can cost anywhere from $5 to $30, excluding the shipping. Bitcoin ATMs like Lamassu, Robocoins etc, allows the user to use the machine with a fast and simple verification and often at a fee of 2-5%.

That being said, Bitcoin ATM is slightly more convenient if you do not have a Bitcoin ATM near you.
why people who are planning to use debit cards can't afford $5 to $30?,if they are planning to use the debit card then the price you mentioned above will not going to be a problem and some debit card issuer don't need you to upload an ID to verifiy your account except you're requesting to increase your debit card limit

and if bitcoin ATM having that good features the only struggle is, it don't have wide coverage and rarely found

It is look good on gas station we can make withdrawal money on there, unfortunately on my place there are no bitcoins ATM in gas station, i think 20 or 30 years later will be available bitcoin ATM on gas station for right now just need people for understanding about bitcoins and bitcoin ATM will be following it.
Agree with you it take more time to make that happen we should continuous endorsing/promoting bitcoin to all people to make them interested to used bitcoin then if they see the potential income i think bitcoin ATM would be installed anywhere in every country.
What we did is we are already promoting bitcoin and i guess we are effective in doing it since bitcoin has a good increase this year.. That is the main evidence that people are adoption and we should be proud that our effort pays off.

Has any Bitcoin ATM operator ever posted some stats? I'd be dead curious to know how much some of these things turn over.

It's great for visibility and availability but I really wonder how many of said gas station punters know what it is and take the time to actually use it.

I think they don't bring profit
at least just yet
correct me if I'm wrong, there was a 14% figure mentioned above, doubt many would be running to their ATMs at such a high rate
but in a couple of years this could be a gold mine(with transaction % lowered to 0-5%)

That os cool. Well done on showing your support and well done to the local gas station for having it there. What were the fees like ? Will you continue to use this bitcoin atm and pay for your gas using bitcoin ? I think it will encourage this shop owner.

Wow is so amazing that you have the opportunity to use a bitcoin ATM machine at your gas station. I have some ATM machines in my own town, but so far I haven't use it. The machine was easy to use it ?

One day, I strongly believe those machines will increase in popularity.
