Shocked This is so cool. Really cool.
We cant see this in our country and I dont think we will for the next year. I hope this reaches us so we can easily buy and cash out conveniently. But with the way our country goes who will do it. That is the problem. Hope to see more like this post.

Where are you form?
Here in Serbia, we have 2-3 bitcoin atms but just for buying btc :/ and one restaurant where you can pay with btc and I;m thinking on taking my girlfriend there and, ofcourse, pay with bitcoins. I want to get that feeling on fulfilment. But I'd give it a year or two here to recieve an ATM where I can withdraw cash from.

I have never seen a Bitcoin ATM in random places, but I think it's understandable why they are appearing at such. To place an ATM in a place like Central Railway Station or in an Airport is a hard thing to arrange due to high costs etc. so people are placing them were they can afford.

14% fee (in my city) is just too high though.

14%? ouch. but i would still buy a bit of btc just to support the atm owner.

they will never take off if no one uses them.

For the first time i am seeing bitcoin ATM.  You are very fortunate that you have bitcoin atm in your country. But does it provide full secure transaction or data passes through third party. Because i am very conscious about my money and I first want to know how secure my transaction is. Well at least you had experienced bitcoin atm.
Bitcoin ATMs are quite secure. I haven’t heard of any problems with the transaction. Personally, I haven’t experienced any problems either. My transactions have all been secure and confirmed. I don’t think it will be any different for you if you use one. Smiley

Yeah, I have a couple of Bitcoin ATMs lying around in the city CBD. One of them is outside a newsagency and another right outside a train station. It is highly convenient and I have used it a few times. I had to follow a similar procedure as to what you had to and I was also astonished by the extremely low exchange fee!

Wow that's too good. Where exactly is this by the way? What are the fees if any, and was it completely secured? Wish it comes in my area also

Saw on the Bitcoin atm maps there was a new ATM at a gas station nearby.
http://bitcoinbarrel.com/bitcoin-atm-map/

So I went to check it out:

The clerk said they've only had it a week and I was the first person to use it. I had to enter my phone number and get a confirmation code, and after that just insert cash. It even printed out a receipt.

I've only used an ATM a few times with this being the first big ATM. Before that they were the smaller Skyhook machines which were still pretty cool.

Anyone else seen Bitcoin ATM in random places?
since in real practice i had not seen it but still i saw in Google that at one blog it was mentioned that only bitcoin atm in Singapore only but here i am excited that this thing will slowly slowly spread in our country also .

Basically every time you are using cryptocurrency exchange, online wallet, casino or any kind of bitcoin satellite service you entrust them your money.
And it is actually rather hard for company with brick and mortar machines to openly try to scam people. You will have less chance being scammed when using BTM than your local online exchange probably.

That machine looks a little old though. But as long as it is working and it serves your purpose, it is a big step forward. I hope more people use it because there are also maintenance costs associated with an ATM and if it happens that only a few people use it, they might think it is not worth having a machine set up there.

That's a real issue, Doms.  I have spoken with one of the owners of BTC ATMs in my city (USA), and he told me that maintenance is expensive, as was getting the money transmitter license, etc.

It may be that as more stores (etc.) get wifi and a willingness to allow placement of BTC ATMs, that will get more visibility and with luck more users as well as merchants accepting Bitcoin.

14% fee (in my city) is just too high though.

looks more cool if we use the atm bitcoin in each city. maybe the people who are new to bitcoin will see it as anything fancy and cool. I hope things like that reproduced in every place, making it easier to attract bitcoin bitcoin users they have, and it will definitely develop if the tool is already spread.

What's the difference between the Withdraw Cash option and Redeem option? I've heard about Coinsecure ATMs but they are not available in my city but it's a good way of promoting the currency. But still there is not much demand for bitcoins or users interested in this currency due to which it would not be feasible to have such ATMs in my city.

I think that the Redeem option is a promo code which include some bitcoin balance, I think that seeing ATMs in gas station is a good thing because we can use these if we have any emergency situations.

The fees probably are not high but even if they are I would use them only for emergency situations, is there any limit to withdraw in these ATMs or it is unlimited?

Anyone else seen Bitcoin ATM in random places?

closest one to me is in boston ma, 85 miles away. long way just to see one and buy some coin Sad

might have to do a long weekend trip there sometime to see the sites and that btc atm would definitely be on the list.

I think bitcoin getting grow rapidly every day and spread more widely, which so many ATM and payment that accepted bitcoin.
But this btc ATM makes me wonder 'who behind this? is it just some businessman, banks, Government or whom did that?
Yeah but I litle bit scare about this bitcoin atm, is goverment take a tax for it? but I am agree that bitcoin is gow faster. This bitcoin atm will not only one spot to get bitcoin but it is also an advertisement of bitcoin too. Si many people will give attention in that machine.

this is what i think too because after we can use bitcoin atm, government might be thinking to applying tax for us when we want to use bitcoin atm in every place. but since bitcoin is free from tax, i think government will think twice before they want to apply tax for using bitcoin atm.

I dont think soo if government would  get  tax from it or it would surely does  it really depends on which  country does the   atm have  been placed. Some  may claim  tax and some may not. Its really nice to see  already some  bitcoin atms  on  random places which  really means  that bitcoin  adoption is  increasing and  it would  surely  increase even more  on  upcoming years.  Hopefully it would  be available too on  my place. Lets  just wait, we  will surely reach that.

There are bitcoin ATMs at Swiss railway stations now. That would qualify as a random place currently.
But as Bitcoin adoption increases, it will be just another place.  Smiley
