Some exchanges require verification for trading altcoins. But at the same time, there are many exchanges without verification. Therefore, I do not see any obstacles.

In addition to the answer above - just use a DEX (Decetralized Exchange). As almost always - just google for it and try to find out wich one has the highest volume and people talk positive about
There's a lot of exchange site that you might have an account to exchange your altcoins into bitcoin. Not all of these are using to require KYC when you fill up their form so no need to worry even if you are under 18 of age. Local exchange site is the best way to go when you want to convert your bitcoin into cash and every country has had a local exchange for the conversion of you cryptocurrency into fiat.
Another option if ever your country has a KYC for exchange then find a trusted friend that has an account already in exchange and begging him to help your problem.

Any buddy use the bitcoin and altcoin. But before use the all coin and invest check the rules and process. This information help to plan to work and invest on time. Time is important of this process. So time to acct.  I don't see any age limit for using bitcoin and altcoin because nobody doesn't know with whom we are chatting in the exchanges. There are many people who are using bitcoin and altcoin under 18 years old, even though exchanges ask for age 18, but people do not bother about rules and agreement. If need to more information check the market place and coindisk. It help to easy to gather more infromation and plan to work.

my suggestion that you are trading on an exchanger that does not require verification of ID or market desentralized (idex, etherdelta or forkdelta) after which you can redeem through bank wire, paypal, skrill or changer serving western union.
I think that's one solution, but you can also borrow your parent id or brother who is 18 years old. good luck boys...

You can try to convert altcoin into bitcoin just like I did on my local exchange.
I'm sure you can find too because every country have their own local exchange, right ?
Or I'm just too lucky since my local exchange doesn't require KYC
Not all countries do really have their own local exchange thats why some people who do engage on crypto would really have these kind of problems.Going back into topic when you are under 18 when you cashing out large sums or amount from your bitcoin converted to fiat you can make use on your parents card or accounts or just simply find p2p into your place. When it comes to your problem with alts, converting them to btc would only just need a few clicks it isnt really a problem at all.

Hello,
I'm wondering how can you trade with bit/altcoins when you're under 18 years old. I currently need to transfer some ethereum coins (earned by mining) to bitcoin and eventually to real cash. I know that you can use LocalBitcoins.com, however you can only trade bitcoin here. How about altcoins?

Thanks.

Is there any age limit for utilizing any currency? I don't think so. Is there a age limit in buying ICO tokens with KYC? Need to check out that. It may depend on the tokens? And kindly do not underweight guys under 18 especially in current situation. We have so many who are so skilled where we can not even imagine about.  What really went wrong with your trading and why have you brought this topic?

no problem, as long as we already have a residence card to make ATM conditions, unless we are underage, we can only trade and can not change to ATM or move it.

An exchange should be aware of your age if you have submitted KYC documents. Generally speaking, it will depend on the laws of your country if you will be allowed to sell/buy cryptos. At least in my country you don't possess the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts before the age of 14. If the contract exceeds your economic capacities you will even need to be 18. Buying/selling cryptos always constutitutes the conclusion of a contract.

I've known around 5 person who are into your situation worrying about their age and about cashing out their altcoins, the best option you can have is to trust someone you know who could help you with legal age of course (parents or guardians) to help you with the process, and give them share after having your money so that next time they are willing to help you out.

But check some small banks about options for students underage who want to use or open banks account like rural bank, summit bank or small banl near you, you can check how you can connect your crypto wallet account to your bank account under them.

If the exchange finds activity suspicious, they may require documents. In this case, you can lose the entire deposit.
As long as you can prove the source of your funds, you won't be losing anything. Only when you can't prove (or don't want to prove) where your fiat and coin desposits came from, you have to worry about losing your funds, and then obviously only when their system detects suspicious activity. That being said, if you know your funds aren't obtained legally, you shouldn't use a centralized service in the first place, because that's the most stupid thing you can do in times where exchanges are subject to strict regulations.

They should be used with caution and with small amounts.
There is no basic definition of a small amount that one should trade with on exchanges. It differs per person's financial status; what you consider to be a large amount, is literally pocket change for others. The only thing you should care about is that you only trade on properly registered/licensed exchanges, and that when you're done trading, you withdraw everything. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should hold coins on an exchange when there isn't any trading activity going on. It's like playing Russian roulette with your funds.

I think there are some exchange sites that a person umder 18 yrs old can do trading with, thise that does not necessarily need a verification when registering an account like Poloniex and Bittrex but the problem would be if you want to withdraw it from those exchange sites.
I hope that we will allow those person who are under age of 18 since they do have the capacity to earn right now, and I don't think that they would not understand the crypto concept when in fact they can fully understand it because they have the ability to explore things in the internet since they do have a lot of time to do it.

you can try poloniex or bittrex for altcoin trading, i don't remember bittrex asking for any minimum age for trading, nor they can't prove it, because they don't even require document for trading that do not involve fiat

You can try to trade at binance or even at the other trading site which they won't need a KYC requirement in order for you to make a withdrawal. Because I'm pretty sure they are strict when it comes to age when there's a KYC on a specific trading site
Usually minors are needed to have a parent  consent if they trade  to some trading site which needs KYC they should need parents assistance, but  threre also trading site that don't need  KYC's so actually they can use us crypto freely as long as they know  how  use it I think  there is no problem.

Well as long as a person understands how it works then i don't see any problems. With how today's generation easily copes with technology, it's not going to be surprising that minors would have an idea or would know how to deal with cryptos. Not just for trading but mining, doing campaigns., faucets etc

The law will prevent this since the minor are not allowed to enter in a contract unless they are with their guardian or parents to deal with it.

It is a great idea since it will help the teenagers or millennials to have already a option on how to earn money in most conve convenient and easiest way.
Unfortunately they are prohibited by the law to enter in this kind of transaction alone.  They need a parents consent or a guardian that will guide them in all transaction in order to be recognize and more legal
