It surprises me that VTC is not on mintpal with such huge support and marketcap. If everyone could put some votes in we can avoid craptsy and maybe get some additional people interested in VertCoin!

what happens when the N makes the cpu-miner available only?

At that time, the world top SuperComputer will destruct the system of vertcoin.

Super computer?
It sounds terrible
I really want to see it's scary

Tell me where you got your crystal ball to see the future, i want one too Wink
Look at the n-schedule, and ask yourself what pc's will look like when n changes.
ps: no supercomputer will ever be a viable platform to mine coins.

I think this coin has great potential, better than anything I've seen in quite a while! And just in time as scrypt asics start to hit china Smiley

I agree with you
It is a very worth the investment of a coin!

Most Fair and profitable pool - is p2pool. For advanced miner, not pool-hopers.

VTC on Coin-Swap.net
Coin-Swap has been a long time supporter of VTC

Important info about Coin-Swap
Coin-Swap's new market system is going live today, March 28. Like our old system, our new exchange does not follow the typical pattern of depositing to a wallet->trading from wallet balance->request a withdrawal.
Instead, you create a market order and you are given a deposit address for that order. When that order executes, you are paid out immediately.

We believe by allowing you to work out of your wallet it minimizes your risk. We don't believe you should treat an exchange like a bank!

Important Feature - AutoSell
When you create a market order, you can set your mining pool payout address to this market address. You can continue to deposit coins DIRECTLY into the market. This allows you to autosell what you are mining. If your order is depleted, it will re-open when a new deposit arrives. The price will either be set at the last price you had it, or it will automatically adjust the price to the last price if that is a better price for you. Example, if you sell at one price, but the market has gone up since then, it will automatically raise your price to the last sale price for you. It will not adjust it down, even if the market drops below where your last sale price was.

Dynamic Price Change
You do not need to cancel and recreate an order to change the price. You can change the price of your orders at any time. Once the new API is up, you can change the price via API or our Android/iPhone app (coming soon).

To get started you need to register.
Register

You then need to provide YOUR wallet addresses where you will receive coins. You will need to enter your VTC address as well as a BTC or DOGE address, whichever market you plan on using.
Profile

Then head to the VTC markets.

My GPU settings are fine using the same as scrypt. Just lower hashrate. Runs cooler also (don't know why).
My problem is that I can't get any p2pool to accept shares. Miner sais shares accepted but the pools are not showing anything...

Do you go to irc at all? Find me on #p2pool-vtc or #p2pool and I can try to help debug a bit if you want. I have two nodes in my signature. us-east is the better one.

There are comments in other threads saying there are reports of gpu damages from nscrypt mining.  Is this true?  Is it because too high of intensity or other config setting or something?  Anyone had problems?
Fud. Scrypt-n can only be less hard on hardware because it uses more memory (so less time spent on calculations). Any mining is hard on gpu''s though, especially when your not smart enough to undervolt and underclock the gpu's. 10% less hashrate (due to undervolting/underclocking) = ~25% less power consumption. On the other hand; 10% overvolting +10% higher clocks = 45% more load on the gpu = 45% shorter life for the cards.
Power used grows linearly with the clock frequency and by Vgpu^2.

there is no way how can n-scrypt damage gpu,
as on litecoin or another currencies, you have to keep gpus on right temperature, well powered, and there cant be problem,
if some gpu is faulty from manufacture, then it will break on gaming, mining, no difference..

Absolutely the same setting as for scrypt mining. I'm mining vertcoin since 2 months with absolutely no problems.
