This coin sure has taken off!  At this point I think I might even prefer that Cryptsy ignores it for a while so the pressure can build slowly.  This is going to be huge!

I generated a public/private key on vertaddress.org and having trouble figuring out how to open this wallet with vertcoin core wallet. Anyone know what to do?

I am waiting for the Litecoin community to get agitated resulting into people diversifying into vertcoins from litecoins. even if 10% of current litecoin supporters back this coin up. it would be worth 1/10 of a litecoin.

Vertcoin Development Update December 19th , 2017

he development team has been very busy this month with things that might seem insignificant, but the work that goes on behind the scenes is sometimes the most important. There is a lot of work that goes into developing and managing a coin that is completely transparent, but some tasks make that difficult, yet we put on our big boy/ girl pants and push onward.

The reward halving went on without a hitch. This means every mined Vertcoin block reward is now 25 VTC instead of 50 VTC. This will continue every 4 years or 840,000 blocks. Don’t say we didn’t warn you 4 years from now.

New wallet
Eventhough we’re working a new iOS wallet, this is not the “new wallet” we’ve been informing you about earlier. Because our next wallet will be a large project of original Vertcoin work, it requires time to complete. However, there’s a gap in our platform support not having an iOS wallet. So the iOS wallet (forked from Bread) mentioned above is meant to cover that gap for the time being.
