kimera, i think cnerd doesn't want to promote feathercoin here. Instead he wants to show us what might happen with the coins value when algo changes. O posts and telling other people to go home is offensive. Even if i don't like feathercoin i find his post quite interesting.

For those of you that haven't heard yet, Feathercoin is changing its PoW in about 2 days.

At block 432000 FTC will do what we are hoping to do one day (end of November). In other words, we will be able to see for ourselves what happens when such a huge and widely distributed coin decides to change PoW.
Will somebody try to take advantage of the algo change and perform a 51% attack?
Will the price rise in the days that follow?
Will FTC earn the respect of the community for doing what LTC refused to do?
Well, we are about to find all of that out, aren't we?

Bought 100 coins at 13k. Should have bought more .
.I'm sure people will be saying the same at 20k in the not to distant future. We are shifting enough volume to cover newly created coins now so when the new algo comes along and the multipools go away we should see a continuing increase in value
I think it's clever to buy some coins now and to switch to mining when Lyra2 is here.
Would be nice if it doesn't stress GPUs as much as N-Scrypt
. Does anyone know?Lyra2RE is supposed to be smoother on the GPUs but Lyra2 is supposed to be as intensive on the GPUs as Scrypt-N is. Cooler algos don't use all the capacity of the GPUs, Scrypt-N and Lyra2 does it.

You wanna make money now, I get it, but you'll regret it. This coin has the best features I've ever seen, it also has almost no issues and you are selling it for <10c?? And then you complain about the low price??? Look in the mirror...
VTC is massively mined on multipools then dumped on the market. The community can't compete right now with massive dumping by multipools. So it doesn't mean that those complaining about the low price are the one selling.

For example, I configured p2pool, which now 7 ~ 10% of the total power p2pool vtc.
Get 5000VTC. And set 24/7 vtc node.
I plan to make a multi p2pool. For example mine darkcoin or litecoin -> get vtc.
Good idea, even better when the algo will switch. We won't have the sell pressure from multipools. It will helps, a step in the right direction
