To be honest, I am pretty new to Vertcoin, although I've been into crypto for a long time and I have been watching (and researching) VTC from the "sidelines" for a while. My mining "career" has gone from BTC>LTC>Doge>Vert. It appears that VTC has all the prerequisites for a successful coin. It has a good, hard-working, committed and honest dev. It is seemingly backed by a loyal (and seemingly large) community (trolls and negative-nancys excluded!). It also has good (and more importantly, working) features like the stealth address. The LYRA2 conversion will also be a first of it's kind in the crypto-community? The reason for the price drop is that all crypto-currencies have been experiencing a contraction for almost a year. What's important to remember is that the coin itself, has not changed, it is still the same as when it was valued much higher. I don't know when this period of contraction will end, but basically, if you want the price to rise, then stop dumping this very good (and rare!) coin! I swear, some people just cannot see the value (amazingness!) in the concepts and ideas behind cryptos and the invention of the blockchain. All they do is want to make more fiat :-( Anyway, go Vert! I stand behind this coin.

Isn't the fork supposed to take place at the end of the month? Maybe they could still sort it out.

I think LYRA2 is the best option for Vert, should just wait for Bushido, algo change is not THAT urgent imo. Just be a bit more patient would be my advice, just my two cents..
think so, too! If the community was more positive price would be more stable. And Bushido also will do all he can to provide a secure network.
He always did his best. And now he even travels to Las Vegas to advertise VertCoin

We still need to find a way to promote this community with devs to support bushido, marketing team and members willing to create projects based on VTC.
I have emailed Bushido detailing our offer to help. He has not replied yet. I believe he is busy with preparing for the coming HUC. Let's wait for him.
