We can always buy cheap games using vert  Smiley

https://eternalsummersale.com/games

Just FYI, I will be reducing the vertcoin discount to 5% next week. The margins are just too tight and the market a bit too volatile to keep it at 10% Sad

Glad to hear you're still going to keep discount for vert tho Hox Smiley

Thanks for putting together the site!

We need a hype man.

While I do find hype distasteful, Vert is definitely understated.

I have supported the idea of a liaison (part of the VTC team) but not necessarily a developer in charge of dispersing information and answering questions. Like I said before if I had a choice of a forum active dev, or a project active dev I'd take the project. That being said ideally I would want both.

The reason I have faith in the development side is that they've never given me a reason not to. Deadlines have been delivered on and core values have been maintained.

We do need a voice of VTC. I hope we get it before we start to release new features as they may fall on deaf ears if we don't have the infrastructure to release the information in a meaningful way.

Still have loads of faith in this coin. It maintains my #1 held cc.

we don't hear a lot from the devs but a least community members try to improve the usefulness of this coin, which is really great.

For those worried about the Dev team don't.

...

You are an active vert community member and I applaude you for that.

With all due respect, with the latest news about scryptn asic to be shipped within a week or so, this is where having a statement from dev team will help.

It seems few believe that devs are working hard to meet deadlines and don't waste their time posting on forums.

Many however, including new to crypto, probably think that the devs are not wasting their time posting AND developing.

We have no idea which is the correct statement.  This is a concern.

Supposedly scrypt-n asics shipping next week?

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-106

knc titan can do scrypt-n apparently:
Quote
The Titan was designed for several variants of the scrypt algorithm, including Scrypt-N. Titan's firmware is in continuous development and we'll update this space with new versions enabling new features as they become available.
I wouldn't worry about the Titan, Vertcoin has been in free fall for so long that it isn't worth mining anymore. Take a look at how the price has compared to litecoin over the last 3 months.  Vert is only worthy of a pump and dump. No point holding a coin in collapse. Lyra will just hasten the exit because it has no support other than in this thread

Says the newbie with 5 posts, all negatively talking about vert. Thanks for warning us all of our impending demise Tongue

at the end of september we should see lyra2RE. So the titans won`t help.

We'll see. The originally scheduled deployment date was end of Nov:

There is still much work to be done before we roll it out. Here is a approximate timeline:
Derive appropriate initial memory and cpu levels to roughly match the current level (8/15/2014)
Implement the new algo in all the wallets including mobile (10/15/2014)
Run final testing on testnet (11/15/2014)
Final release to mainnet (11/30/2014)
– These are estimates, we may move faster –
^from vertcoin.org

It would be nice if someone could update the OP with some of this info. I know it's available at vertcoin.org, but it makes us look like a little disorganized here on bitcointalk when the ANN page has out-of-date info and some dead links. There's not even enough traffic to estimate the number of visitors per day to vertcoin.org, and Alexa puts vertcoin.org's rank between 200,000-300,000, while btctalk is around the 3000th most popular site in the world. It's nice to have a dedicated site, but I imagine there is just orders of magnitude more page views here, so it would be nice if the info presented in the first post could be updated.
