It is not a risk free wagering even if you bet with the lowest possible multiplier, there is still a chance to lose your bets.
You may say it is a safe way of wagering but if you do not continuously, you may end up with a big lose as you need many win bets to recover a single lose bet.
It is just a strategy to wager as much as possible, other users may use different strategy. I can say there is no loop hole in this kind of contest.

Of course it is slim, this is a competition or some race or some lottery if you would name it and definitely not a freebies up for grab therefore there will be alot of people that will be aiming for it.

This is not an EV+ competition however it is still good if you want to take a shot on it. Most of the time you only need to wager over $100 to be eligible for the draw so even if the specific games has 5% house edge, you would lose $5 on average

There are $15 prize per player if you win though and sometimes the number of qualified players are 20 on averages with either 5 or 10 lucky stars ( 5 or 10 winners) most of the time so yeah atleast there is a good chance that you might win
