still working for new version upgrade, it will be backward compatible. Making major changes is not recommended unless needed, as pools, exchanges etc also have to upgrade. I still see many users on old obsolete version trying to connect. It is not good for the coin in long run. What will increase value is its usability. When it will be used as currency for buy & sell or at ATM. However I can premise in future if we ever see ASIC for X11, we will re-code & upgrade to newer ASIC resistant code.

The coin has yet to even take off.

The interest only a couple of months back was 0, difficulty 0.0003 lol!

The coins that took off from the beginning are the ones seeing quite a drop compared to the hype price.
