Jet Cash's better half
I can be a noisy bugger, and I expect most people will know soon enough. Anyway Jet Aid is getting a directory all to himself on the Jet Cash website.

https://jetcash.com/ - watch for the link to appear soon. I've got too many domains, so I didn't even look to see if Jet Aid is available. Actually Jet Aid is a bit historic. It's the first Internet sobriquet that I've used when I don't own the domain name.

I wanted something that started with "jet" to make things obvious.

To make sure it's better to leave a feedback from you original ( Jet Cash ) account to Jet Aid. So who whoever visit this profile they can easily understand who is that. Anyway you are doing good job.

Honestly, I don't know how you find the patience for this. After reading spam comment after spam comment, my only two options are to report everything or just unwatch the thread and never return. Props once again.

Moderator for what? A patroller? Probably some of the best choices for staff likely aren't even on this shortlist and is why popularity isn't the best quantifier. Sure, those who are very active and helpful within the community should be taken into consideration, but it's the accurate reporting showing you're aware of the rules that is usually the better identifier of suitability. As we've seen, some of the most popular amongst the community aren't even interested in the position either. Choosing mods for sub boards should obviously be chosen from the users who are most active in reporting within there and only theymos has access to that info.

Do you remember rickbig? He isn't much popular but is a very active reporter who just deserved the position of global MOD.  When he was elected, there were very few members who know about him. This shows that just being popular isn't enough to get appointed.

rickbig is a perfect example. He wasn't much of an active poster at all, but he was reporting an insane amount of posts. Every morning when I woke up there was often dozens upon dozens of reports by him on spambots and often times they had been in the queue for hours and could be still there for many more if I didn't get round to them or was out that morning. That's why it made perfect sense to have him on board. He frees up time from current mods and doesn't have to waste time reporting bots when he could just nuke them himself. He then rose rapidly to Global because he was still very active in reporting and it made sense for him to be a Global (and still despite being very active in actually posting). He's now probably amongst the top handlers of reports (though I can't be certain and only theymos will have access to those stats and that's why he is the best one suited to choosing new staff members). Maybe one day he might even become an admin. Who knows.

Jet Aid - first aid for posters

I am an alt of Jet Cash, and my aim is to help in the sanitisation of the forum. I am an alternative to the big sticks of the moderators, and I offer carrots to the responsible new members who just need a bit of advice. I've got the Jet Cash merit bank to help me encourage good posting habits. My reaction to a big stick threat is to try to find a bigger stick, but carrots make me reflect and try to improve myself. I'll put together some support pages, and have a look at the beginners forum today.

Bots and TwitBook spammers are not going to be helped if I detect them.

This thread has given me an idea. Instead of ignoring posters, I might appoint myself a "warner", and I'll pm members and ask them to stop certain practices. These could include.
Strongly agree. I did it with few user. If ignore that means you just avoid. There is low chance to correction for user who did mistake. If you send PM to someone with mistake point , it's pretty sure he will try to correction himself (IMO).

- All caps titles

- large redundant images
- necro-bumping

I'm not sure if it will have any effect, but maybe a few will take some notice.

I'm sure it will have an effect. Because I still remember when I have joined the forum I also did the full quotes in replies, but with the time I have learned it shouldn't do even its not violated any forum rules. So I have learned so many things from you but I still didn't agree with you regarding the posting images in a thread. I would agree with you if those images are large redundant images as you stated, but not with other scenarios where sometimes a picture can explain what 1000 words cannot.

Anyway sending a PM before you add the user to your ignore list would be great and anybody here doesn't want to be included in your ignore list.

As much as I appreciate the endorcement, your reasoning is incorrect:
[2] I didn't create the Spam Megathread list after visiting Bitcoin Discussion, I created it from the post history of a few applicants who were accepted in a new (at that time high paying) signature campaign.
[3] Although some of the plagiarism reports are in Bitcoin Discussion, it's never been my main area to read. That can change once the spam is gone, and I would be willing to take on that "job", but as long as the board is in it's current state, I'll mostly ignore it.

- necro-bumping
If you report those, they get their warning in the form of a deleted post.

Let the record state that I didn't vote for myself. But I had to vote to be able to see the results.
More full disclosure: I voted too, to see the results Cheesy I didn't select more than 5 options in total, but the "Total Voters" is now one higher than it should have been.
LoyceMobile voted for marlboroza and suchmoon.
LoyceV voted for The Pharmacist. I did this because he doesn't want to be a Mod anyway, which made it a safe pick to be able to see the results on this account.

I think additional moderator would help a lot on this community. I feel so sad that jetcash didn't want to be a moderator because it really fits him. The rest of the nominees are really active and contributing members they really fit being a moderator.

Mods are considered to be volunteers and are no way related to being to being the leaders of the community. They are just spam hunters in a legal way. Most of your poll members are popular enough to become a MOD. But being that isn't enough. They should have huge amount of reports in the particular board in which they are being appointed. The user should have gained trust from the community and theymos himself for being appointed. Do you remember rickbig? He isn't much popular but is a very active reporter who just deserved the position of global MOD.  When he was elected, there were very few members who know about him. This shows that just being popular isn't enough to get appointed.

Lutpin might be the top reporter in reporters table based on last year's stats given by theymos. LoyceV has proved themselves to be really trustworthy and is evident from the 10 month altcoin investment and campaigns he conducted during these days. Moreover he is one of the most active reporters who can be considered as a MOD. I don't think we need to put much pressure on JC by appointing him as a MOD as he is already busy with his fit to talk and other projects in educating the newbies and teaching English to non-English people. Vod has been a great asset to the community right from the early days of the forum who can be considered a MOD

P.S This poll may not be considered, but it helps to get a view on what members think about these people.

🤩Finally Married🤩
Simply voted for these guys:

-LoyceV
-Jet Cash
-The Pharmacist
-Vod
-marlboroza

A good sense of humour has a lot of things to do in moderating a section/board Wink I guess these guys should have the honor to do the tasks and also can be trusted in the mean time as long as they're alive giving a damn punishments to those shitty bastards that keeps on spamming every boards here on the forum Grin

As for Jet Cash, I think the IGNORE LISTS  of him will be flooded by many user accounts as well as The Pharmacist's ULTRA NEGA BOOSTER Cheesy ( Getting excited of seeing RED Colors Everyday Wink even though he doesn't want the job... )

If I were a mod and had some actual authority and autonomy, my moderated section would probably look like ground zero after a nuclear strike,

On the basis of this - I think I'll vote for you. Smiley

+1 for the nuke Cheesy

I don't know why we need to preserve all the shitposts everywhere on the forum...
Maybe if we just nuke 50% of the forum at once, people will start to think about the situation, and only spammers would leave the place quickly... If we do nothing, spammers will stay but valuable members will leave slowly...

Leave no FUD unchallenged
I'd give you A+ for enthusiasm, but your direction seems a little misguided here.  Partly because this doesn't seem like the kind of decision that would be influenced by a poll.  But mostly because you're including people who have aleady stated unequivocally that they don't want the job.  So if you have done this in the full knowledge that the "vote" is pointless and the whole idea is just to pester theymos, this probably isn't the most constructive approach.
