I think it happened to me when I was in High School I lost all of my money in a bet ,
We played DOTA back then and we always manage to win but in a certain time we go to one of our School mates place to gamble and my team ended up losing .
Many people often claim that betting have more advantages over gambling. Yes I agree somehow is better than gambling but still huge risks are there. People need to understand that whenever you are encounter with many options, go for that one which is less risky. Betting is totally risky, as luck is involved. There are no technical skills involved in it hence you may get a big loss.
It is still gambling as far as I am concerned but it is reasonable that with betting you can still at least make use of some factors to your advantage. Nevertheless, everything still balls down on luck. Everything with gambling is risky and those who understand that risk and gamble anyway while keeping themselves in check will never experience a walk of shame like OP did, but I can bet so many people who have been playing on online casinos and posting on this forum that they want to make profit, some of them should have had a SLEEP OF SHAME one way or the other.

Im glad it happened to me only in a mild way. My peers invite me to a card game that was only about for fun, but it didnt for me. I bet and get lost everytime until my last resort of money which is my transportation fare. Gladly, my home is about 2 kms away and i only lost small amount of money because im not prepared for the said game and have no money on my pocket then. I walked home thinking what the hell did i do, walked as fast as i could and pretend nothing happened.

If I were you, I would not consider that as a walk of shame, that's a great experience after all. High school days are the best, so you should consider it as one of your memorable and happiest days of your life(unless you hate to walk or you are doing it every day, then that's F* bad).

But that's embarrassing if you fail and at the same time your grades are failing too.
What a way to console someone who just had the worst experience of his life, but I like the angle and perspective you really brought it out though.

At least, he should look at the good side of it, but the unfortunate part is that there is really no good side to it. Walk of shame is a walk of shame and anyone who ends up having that kind of experience should sit down and rethink their life and the way forward. Good he did that.

I just want the guy to realize it and look at the positive side, who knows while walking, he found out something "Eureka" then the next day he plays better than the others. It is also a good stress reliever to walk after a stressful game.

But yeah, he should think about it if it is happening to him/her on daily.  Cheesy

I did experienced the same and it is really an experience that I don't want to do experience again. I walk a long way just to go home since I don't have any money to pay my ride home. It is a Walk of Shame at a bad day, that is not the only bad thing I've experienced that day, there is a lot of other things. I cn only say that it is just another bad day of the year.

Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.

How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".
Everyone had that bad day when everything goes opposite the way you wanted to, but i don't think gambling was a good choice for you in that situation buddy, you don't have the money you already feel like shit and yet you still go to the casino to gamble, if that isn't called addiction than i don't know what is, if you barely had enough money you should'v know better and went back home rather than making it worse with gambling.

No, but  I was kind of expecting the outcome of your story because the worse will always happens to those who had lose their self-control on gambling. I hope that you recover because those memories will really hurt your pride.

I have sincerely never experienced the 'walk of shame' but I have find myself in a situation where I gambled away all the money I wanted to use for important thing online. At the end, I had to run around looking for a where to get the money. In my own opinion, if one is not addicted and knows the limit, of their gambling behavior, one won't have to spend unnecessary. I know a friend who did the walk of shame even to the extend of spending money for hospital bills. Cry
If a person has to feel sorry after doing an activity, then why doing it in the first place? And once he has done something, there is no need to feel shame about that until he does not do it again because feeling sorry won’t undo the actions. You lost money which was supposed to be spend somewhere more important on gambling. This is the reason why people advise to stay away from such an evil deed. Gambling is no good at all.

A lot of gamblers experience that. You are not a legit gambler if you didn't experience the walk of shame.  I saw a lot of people experience this and I don't want it to happen to me. What I am doing is to separate the money for daily needs and gambling. I will not gamble on the money that I needed, I will only use the money I can afford to lose. One of the gambling addict told me that and I practiced it ever since.

Mostly in casinos people walk in shame, though I experience this thing but I don't loss much. I think its normal for you to feel like this specially when you loss no matter what the amount is. Gambling is very risky, there's no easy way to earn it or if you earn at the end of the day you still lose it. Settings yourself on what to do can really help you, and prevent you from losing.
That's if you lost a lot but if you didn't, you should do the things that matters to you which is winning. If you have managed to do that then it's great. Having losses wouldn't mean the end of the world especially if you are aware of certain practices that makes you a better risk taker.

When I used to gamble with my friends. I rarely lose because I knew their reactions and facial expressions. However, I remember myself getting cocky. We bet on 500$. I thought that I was going to win at first. But when I lost, I was like "That is impossible...How did I lose when everything went smoothly and in my favor." I really got angry but I learned that I should never underestimate my opponent even if he always fails.
Overconfidence and arrogance clouds the mind of a person. One must avoid these two for his own safety and betterment. When a person starts thinking, he is perfect he stops being perfect rather improving. Besides, it is gambling we are talking about here. A game which outcome is decided on the basis of luck and there can be times when luck might not feel like helping us. That is why it is better to stay humble and much better to not lose 500 dollars this way.

This is real truth that in gambling if we lost everything then we feel that we are wonde in this world with full of shame and we should take life at the end .
It was around the mind of year 2015 when I was fully addicted in bitcoin gambling for sports games and I was making Betting for cricket only , at that time a match was between Australia and England and i putted bet for England won toss of 1 btc ( my whole life 2 year earnings ) but unfortunately I lost the game and I found this that I will not be able to make gambling again , but in actual I realised that I lost nothing more than 1 btc , I should start from zero and I should work again and don't go for big bet and big risk at once , and use gambling for the fun purpose with small small bets instead to go for big .

It was really hard, to walk from your losses or rather big losses. After the game, there are random thoughts that would flash to your mind such as why do I ever gamble in the first place or if I just stopped already I didn't have to suffer like this lol. But there's nothing you can do,  it already happened, just accept it and let it pass.  After you recover then go again to the nearest casino 😂.

I never went home ashamed because of my losses. But I experienced once to go home ashamed because of an incident that I never expected. This is not related to gambling so I won't disclose that thing but it really broken my heart.  Cry I would love to go home ashamed from my losses because I can handle that but not with that experience.
I guess you lost the love of your life when you were thinking you would get something from her that night right? And she ended up bouncing you out in the cold weather with you walking home thinking about your life and how she rubbished you? Grin

Really what is the point telling us you had a walk of shame not related to gambling without telling us the experience you had and now you decided to leave us hanging and imagining things in our own head? You deserve your walk of shame for this thing you just did. Grin Moreover, if you can handle to go home ashamed from your losses, I wonder how terrible what you experienced must have been.

That is why trusting your luck and judgement in just one bet is not a good way to gamble. Sometimes this will lead you to losing your money. I also have tried this once when I was younger. I got lucky before I did that one bet all-in, that's why I thought I could trust my judgement and luck in just one-bet. So, I wasn't even able to enjoy money and it didn't even last a minute and went home straight.
Those beliefs that you might win by betting more to get your losses but in the end you are still a loser and never gonna get a single penny. That's why after i walk on shame, i promise to myself that i will never gonna get fool by playing those betting game. I've come to learn the routine of the slot machine while looking at the people that keep on playing but if i play because it was to tempting i always set a limit.
Its not really bad to play gambling as long you can able to handle yourself on not being get addicted or do compromise your finances then you are just doing fine. This all depends on how you do control yourself into a particular thing. Walk of shame do normally happens in the end and we do all know that. regretting is no use because whats done is done already you cant take it back, its up to you if you take this as a lesson or not.
Regretting your mistake will formed two things in mind, first being ashamed not doing the right thing to stop before everything was gone leaving your wallet empty and moving away as a loser, the second one would bring you more aggression to play more and keep yourself being hunger to win and
regain your name, the only things is, it will also put you in danger being more addicted and more compromise with this activity.
