To be honest, I almost tried to experienced that Walk of Shame thing that you said. This is the time when I am studying in college and my home is like 30-40 kilometers away from my school. I tried to gamble my money and kept up some of my money for the fare in going home. I lost all of my money and the only money that left for me is my fare. I am thinking of gambling it so that I have some money to buy for foods but on the other hand, I am thinking what if I lose it. I will walk. In the end, I didn't gamble my money and I returned home safely.

Don't do what OP has done. Just reserve some of your money for your needs.
You said it like you were actually meaning to give the walk of shame a try. That would not be a walk of shame but a walk of deliberate act of being dumb. A gambler, who gambles everything out of trying to recover losses or not having the strength to control him or her, is actually not a responsible one and the walk of shame will always be imminent.

As long as you are not trying to get what you are not supposed to be looking for in gambling, I do not see why anyone should be experiencing this. Keep trying must be the big reason for all troubles of gambling, this must include all the shames and bad names.

I drank to much one time, lost all of my money , and was really upset. Security led me out. it was the worst walk of shame, feeling terrible after all the alcohol, having lost one shoe, no money and trying to remember where my hotel is.

I guess that walk of shame is the cause of your alcohol problems but what the OP is trying to say is the walk of shame because of losing a lot of money out of gambling. I did not experienced that feeling but I did know someone since I rode him to his home since he has no money betting all of it, thinking that it may won on cockfighting but it didn't.

Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.

How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".
Never happened to and never will i do that. I am a family man also same as you mate. I used to be an addicted gambler but right after my wife got pregnant with our eldest child, i quitted being an addicted one. Yes we do gamble still occasionally, me and my wife but never did i went to a casino without her. Maybe afraid of not being able to control myself again.
I love your statement. Brother this comes the responsible person who have care and concern for his family. You are about to take a fantastic step that will hero you to make a good living with your family happily. But what for them who have got families too but they don’t think about them. They are just ruining their own lives and those of their family members too. Wake up gamblers.

The amount of times I've walked home feeling like garbage and calling myself a greedy idiot for not cashing out in time... Couldn't even buy a beer to drown my sorrows in.
The times I've walked out feeling like a boss because I won don't completely balance it out, but it helps.

How could you have a "walk" of shame, you play on casinos and gamble online, you are in front of your PC. Where would you walk? I think this is more like "feeling of losing and afterwards" otherwise there is no walk. I do not feel shame at all, if you go in casinos knowing fully that you will lose all your money.

You will be fine. If you go into the casino feeling that you can take it down and make a killing than you will lose all your money and all your self-confidence with it.

I wanted to share a bit of sad news. My sister's in law went to us this lunch time saying that his mother-in-law hasn't been home for almost a day and asked if we see her in the casino. We (me and my wife) and said yes and we told her that the old lady is wandering around the casino. And then we discovered that the old lady has a lot of money that day and perhaps she lost everything and either doesn't want to go home or doesn't have any money left for a taxi cab and can't do the walk of shame since she is too old already. If we have known the situation back then, we could have pick her up and bring her home. I just feel sad hearing the news today though.

To avoid "walk of shame" only gamble that much amount which you can afford to lose. I have never done such thing which is not in my capacity or limit.
In gambling losing is a part of game but losing everything even after knowing your limits is somehow idiotic or dumb act.
When you already know that this would be a participation thing to get into this trouble thing and gamble, then why to go even in this game. Why not to be at arms distant so that you could never be able to get in this walk of shame. For this, you don’t require to gamble at affordable level and then you say okay if I go up this line I would be added in that list. No, quit this game.

I've never experienced the walk of shame before, BUT I have experienced the walk of anger when I walked for one hour from the casino to the house because the gambling addict that I was with didn't want to go home and it was too late at night to catch a bus.
Same here and I have never imagined myself experiencing it. As long as you have a limit set for yourself and you simply are not just trying to make all the money as much as possible from gambling, then I do not see how anyone should get into such shoes of walking in shame after losing the whole bet, including money even meant for transport. That is one a very higher level as far as I am concerned. The walk of anger though balls on you as you had the chance to leave the gambling addict you were with on his own to come whenever he feels like but you still stayed anyway. You must really have been angry with yourself and him.

This is probably one of the worst story of a gambler i've ever read. You've been completely controlled by your addiction resulting in that. You should have atleast keep a money for fare and then you can go all out. You should have played online instead to prevent that situation again. Even if you lose all, atleast you're already inside your house.
Yeah it is very shameful that you back home with empty pocket. But on the other hand it is good because by this way many people would not be addict of gambling. When you feel shame you will think that gambling is not good overall and leaving is better and this thought will keep you away from gambling on regular basis. If you love casino, go there and just enjoy.

So you were so much engrossed that you forget about the time and realized it later that you are running out of time. But hope so this things does not happen now and you are more enjoying the game rather than playing for money or making money from gambling.

It is natural when you lose money you will get angry and when you have no more money to gamble with and has to come back with empty pocket will increase your anger. The next day you will try to win back your lost money but again you lose and your will become red due to intense anger. To avoid such anger and shame you should quit gambling today and think about your future and your family as well.

Take a positive from your walk home.  People are moving so fast in modern life, so occupied with doing something else while they are travelling, maximising their attention in every possible moment they miss the simple calm thoughts that are required for a good direction in life.

The walk could be considered a negative, you had to expend more energy to get home and maybe you were hungry and thirsty by the time you arrived.  Or it could also be a negative, some exercise, some time alone to consider your overall strategy in both life and also your past times like gambling.

It could easily be you gained from what you saw as a negative event.  All depends how you handle it and your frustrations maybe.    Alot of things in life can turn out ironically, we are greatest in our recovery not so much just winning and being lucky.   Hopefully you get what I mean.

I do think its best people only spend what they have spare, so this forced time out by walking home was symbolic perhaps and you took further time to collect your thoughts and come back stronger Smiley

no, I don't have any problem like you because I am playing gambling by online so I don't have to walk home Grin I think you need to make this as your lesson in gambling and you will never do that again in the future.
and if you really love your wife and your kids, you need to reduce your activity in gambling because you know that it's not good for you and you can get the same experience if you still continue. maybe you need to limit your money to play gambling so you still have money to go home. I hope that you don't do the same thing in the future. please send my greetings to your family and I know that they really love you so much.
Playing online gambling wont really give you the experience on walking home came from a casino but i do agree about on the given advise of yours that he should limit out spending because non good thing would happen later on if he would decide to continue and already coming to a point where he do make unwise spending on their money specially hes already compromising their savings.
Walk of shame do usually experienced for those people who just force out to be lucky even it isnt.

Well, is that not how most gamblers who never had the right mindset when it comes to gambling always end up? It is either you get in control or you get addicted and most times, a lot of people who gamble for the wrong reasons always find it hard to control their emotions, impulses, and tend to getting seriously addicted in the long run. A lot of people push harder while trying to see if they can recover their losses, but forgetting it is just a game of luck and you may actually not get lucky at all which could get to a point of not having anything again.

To avoid “walk of shame” never gamble and if you already gambling quit today. It is better not only for you but also for your family. If you have family and you care about them, you will never lose your money in gambling. Gambling is not for responsible people. It is for bad people because gambling itself is bad. Mostly criminals use to gamble regularly.

This is a short story but once I was playing at a casino on vacation and I spilled by drink all over the table.  I felt like an idiot, at least the staff were nice about it and there wasn't a big scene or anything.
This is different from the walk of shame of other gamblers that doesn't have money left on their pocket.

But yeah this experience is another humiliating story that you've got there.

Gamblers definitely already been experiencing this kind of situation. I myself have come through this and it's really hard to handle the emotions. Well, this is life wherein happy moments isn't forever and let's all face the truth. As long as we can handle the things of being lost at one snap then so be it.  Learning thu experience is what makes us stronger and always move on.

I have never played on physical casino yet. Sadly, once I had the same feeling in an online casino where, i was playing Dice game on 1.5x payout. Everyone in chat was cheering me as i entered high rollers bet tab. That made me feel more confident and eventually lost all my money. Then, people started to mock me on my stupid bets. That was a sad experience for me.
This is bitter reality and you have o accept this. You can’t just win the money in this game. Although you are playing online and you are safe from that live shame and loss felling but brother you will never earn that money. And if, for the luck help you, you win it in a row, even though the very next day things would get worst because you put that money in game and lose it.

Really lucky at that time because you had someone who never give any penalty for doing that, maybe it will be your day if you continue to bet on that day.But we will be more ashamed when we lose money to the opponent after chasing back our all bet amouts this is the worst of its kind.
