That is why trusting your luck and judgement in just one bet is not a good way to gamble. Sometimes this will lead you to losing your money. I also have tried this once when I was younger. I got lucky before I did that one bet all-in, that's why I thought I could trust my judgement and luck in just one-bet. So, I wasn't even able to enjoy money and it didn't even last a minute and went home straight.
Those beliefs that you might win by betting more to get your losses but in the end you are still a loser and never gonna get a single penny. That's why after i walk on shame, i promise to myself that i will never gonna get fool by playing those betting game. I've come to learn the routine of the slot machine while looking at the people that keep on playing but if i play because it was to tempting i always set a limit.

Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.

How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".
I never experienced that thing in my life maybe because I seldom to gamble and I'm not that addicted to gambling mostly it will happened to people who can't control their selves to play which most of the time can cause trouble to them.

No, I never experienced it. It should be a lesson for you and for all of us, when we go gambling to the casino, we can not carry too much money and "obligate" always leaves money for the fare home. You must be used to it, but under pressure, you end up using it to gamble again, and you know what the consequences are now? you do not have to stop gambling if you still want to, you just have to keep in mind that leaving a little money for the return fare is important.

If you carry too much money while gambling you are bound to play with those money as well if you lose some amount in beginning of the game itself as you tend to think that you can make money in next bet which may not happen and you even lose that money. This cycle continues till you realize how big mistake you have done it.

Yes I experienced already how to walk in shame, especially when l have so many debts before. I used to hide and seek for the people looking at me to pay my debts. I'm so much shameful when a police looking at me for my payment. I can't pay anymore because it's too big amount already just because of my husband is a gambler.

I think it happened to me when I was in High School I lost all of my money in a bet ,
We played DOTA back then and we always manage to win but in a certain time we go to one of our School mates place to gamble and my team ended up losing .
Many people often claim that betting have more advantages over gambling. Yes I agree somehow is better than gambling but still huge risks are there. People need to understand that whenever you are encounter with many options, go for that one which is less risky. Betting is totally risky, as luck is involved. There are no technical skills involved in it hence you may get a big loss.

I never went home ashamed because of my losses. But I experienced once to go home ashamed because of an incident that I never expected. This is not related to gambling so I won't disclose that thing but it really broken my heart.  Cry I would love to go home ashamed from my losses because I can handle that but not with that experience.

We played DOTA back then and we always manage to win but in a certain time we go to one of our School mates place to gamble and my team ended up losing .
I miss those days that I'm still addicted to DOTA and even late night my friends and I were going on a round trip looking for another team to play with some bets.

It's so good to remember those times when I don't care about what life is because I was younger then and I'm on those days that my mind isn't maturing yet.

I don't consider those losing days walking go home as a walk of shame, it's a walk of fun with my friends but I experienced to be disappointed going home without anything left.

If I were you, I would not consider that as a walk of shame, that's a great experience after all. High school days are the best, so you should consider it as one of your memorable and happiest days of your life(unless you hate to walk or you are doing it every day, then that's F* bad).

But that's embarrassing if you fail and at the same time your grades are failing too.

I have seen many gamblers like that they are not that shy in showing us but I think on their own they feel so terrible they feel ashamed especially to their love ones or to their husband or wife. Money is really important in this world and sometimes they are fighting because of money matters.
No doubt money is love for everyone out there who belongs to human family. Either you are poor or rich, black or white, Asian or European or African, you need money to live in this world. Gambling can never provide you any chance for winning some money. You are open to a loss stack that adds to your money every time and then you see your investment going away from you.

I feel lucky to not have experienced the same! I have been gambling once in a while but I never let small or big wins hook me up with it. I have always been very careful of my actions because I am financially independent which is for me a very good thing; I take it as an advantage actually. Nevertheless, my inexperience on it does not make me feel for you anything less. I hope you get wiser the next time you indulge yourself in another gambling spree, if I may call it that way. You have to be responsible for your own acts, as you yourself have earlier indicated that you already have a family to support. I will not stop you from gambling because I sure know you have already learned from it anyway. Always take the lessons with you wherever you go, that is all you will hear from me. Such motherhood statements but it sure lingers when time comes you truly need some pushing.

As far as I am concerned that cannot be labeled as a walk of shame. Unless you have to put a signboard that you were walking because of being addicted to casino and has no money left for your fair.

Tho it cannot take the reality that you have lost your money because of gambling which is normal. It also happens to me before good thing tho is that the casino is not a miles away from my home so i just took it as a part of my daily exercise lol

I experienced also this thing, I'm broke that time because all my money are gone for just an hour and to the point that I have to call for my friend to pick me up because of what happened. This is what happen when your greed takes you, from this experienced i learned to set things before I make decisions and don't ever let your emotion takes you.
You gambled at a casino no wonder you lost big time there isn't any chance all those results at casinos are real they are well staged and fixed
Plus even if you make profit the house edge is super high instead it's better if you gamble online it's fair and the house edge for most sites is as low as 1% , don't end up on a online casino you will regret it

sometimes gambling brings someone to ignorance, I often wonder why so many people have such crazy greed. because it will only lead us to bankruptcy. it's happened a lot and lots of examples for this problem. perhaps we should learn from many other people's experiences

Walk of shame is because you lost more then you can afford to lose. Now you know that blaming is waiting you when you go home to your family.
Next time simply take just some money with you and you will not lose more then you can, there will be no walk of shame, you had fun gambling and everyone is happy.
Walk of shame is not just when you lose in gambling, when you lose money, other actions can lead to this too, you need to know that, that is what kind of man you are and to know what you can do or not. Don't put yourself in situations where you can regret later, think about you do something and you will never have to walk on path of shame.

I have only heared stories about people who were involved in such situations. During the game they were very excited, since the beginning of the gambling session they were winning a lot and enjoying the prizes, but at some point they started losing money, but didn't lose the confidence and kept playing, hoping to recover the losses and exit the house with some profit, but it didn't happen and I think everyone knows what happened next, similar to what OP described.

I've heard of similar stories as well. I believe that once you've reach this point, a gambler has reached their peak and if they won't stop, they may fall into addiction. To be able to use up their money to get home is already a bad sign. It's a good thing they haven't brought a car otherwise it's possible that they would even include this with their gambling. A walk of shame must be a really humiliating experience but if a gambler still continues even after experiencing this it's either they're crazy enough to think that they could recover what they have lost or they are already crazily addicted.
