I'll do 100 push-ups tomorrow as penance.
Do 100 sips of coffee. It's healthier.
I think that there are a lot of studies that the loss of muscle mass is a pretty decent risk for any of us as we age, and there are some theories that we are starting to die after we reach 30.. and of course, if any of us likely realize that there seem to be deteriorating effects with the passage of time, even though some people do seem to have better genetics than others, I have my doubts that we can completely ignore lifestyle choices.. even though I do consider that diet and sleep might be more important than exercise.
In regards to exercise, and the need to build and/or preserve muscle mass, there must be some attention towards the benefits of resistance training, even though some older folks (and younger folks are guilty of this too) get so much caught up into cardio, so if they do some kind of exercise that requires a lot of cardio, then they might be too tired to even attempt to carry out any resistance training. Also, some folks who walk a lot become very good walkers, but they still might not be retaining muscle mass as much as they should do, especially when they start getting into their older years.. .. so it becomes more and more difficult to both retain muscle mass and even to build it. .. so it could be better to at least engage in enough resistance training type exercises to at least attempt some level of maintenance.
I know easier said than done.. and I think exercise hurts more than it did when I was younger.. and I don't get as many of those endorphin-like feelings. .which may relate to stamina too.. so if you can maintain exercise for a certain period the endorphins can kick in.. and people might get that on a treadmill. .yet harder to build up to it with resistance training since it tends to hurt.
My push-ups are going better than I thought, and I am going to have to keep track in order to try to figure out if I am making progress, and my first set of pushups went way better than I thought that they would because I think that I recall trying to do pushups several months ago, and it did not go very well.. so this time around I was focused on at least trying to see how many I could do in a kind of dry run.. and it did hurt my chest a bit.. so that might mean to try to pace myself a bit in order to build up to it.. but at least I did them flat, and they were pretty full pushups and I did not have to resort to girl-pushups.. meaning doing them from the knees... after a week, I will probably have a bit of a better grasp of where I am at. .and maybe even better after two weeks.. but I am not sure if I can keep it up until $100k .. so we will have to see how that goes... but I am likely not going to end up doing 100 every day.. and so far with 1.5 days I have only done 50 each day.. and I may or may not be able to get up to 100 today.. I don't necessarily want to push my quantity to such an extent that I end up injuring myself or that I overdo the matter in some kind of a way... "We" should be trying to pace ourselves in these kinds of situations.
I really miss the free money airdrops and forks of 2017...
I don't miss them... even though it was a unique time in bitcoin's history.. so it is kind of nice to have had gone through it.. but I did not find it enjoyable, except that even during those quite troubling times, the BTC price continued to pretty much shoot up.. even though it was nothing even close to shooting up directly.. so maybe a midst all of the confusion, none of us really knew what to do.. if we should sell any BTC and if so, then how much. I was lucky to have a kind of plan in place, but it was still stressful to follow the plan and it is not that I completely followed it and/or that I did not have regrets, even during that time.
Looking back though.. that was quite an amazing price run.. especially going 78x-ish from late 2015 until late 2017.. even though not as amazing as 2013 (even though I was not with bitcoin at that time, except for buying at or near the tippity top of what had been right around nearly a 100x price run for the year of 2013. and that is amazing too.. and not even a adequate representation of the full run for that whole cycle since the run had already started in 2011/2012...and maybe we could count the correction from $32 and back down to $2 in mid 2011 or if we go to the beginning of 2011 then we might even go way into fractions of a dollar for the then BTC price, so it hardly even seems fair to be counting any of those really exorbitantly low prices that were really niche in terms of adoption or anyone who knew about bitcoin.. and in recent times, I had been thinking that if we start our counting of the BTC price market from around $5 at the beginning of 2012, then at least we might have a bit more of a fair monetary starting point..so then our 2013 run would be more like a 232x.. which seems more reasonable and a more fair representation.. even though surely there were people in bitcoin prior to 2012 who had gotten their coins for less than $5 and even some of them who got their coins for fractions of a dollar...and maybe some of those folks held onto decent amounts of their coins.. maybe? maybe?
is there a section in the forum where they list airdops for BTC holders only? (don't wanna go through all the crap for shitcoin holders)
Bitcoin only should be default here in
Bitcointalk.
Leave the crypto crapto in the dedicated altcoin areas.
Exactly, it should be the case that if we do not say anything about what we are talking about, then people should presume that we we are talking about bitcoin only.. but then part of the problem comes if we do not say anything for a long period of time, and then pretty soon someone says something that shows that they are NOT on the same page...and gosh there is a lot of that out there... there are still so many people who don't even know how to say the word bitcoin, so perhaps it does not hurt if we throw the word bitcoin in our posts from time to time, just to show that we are on the same page and also to perhaps give some hints to others that they need to make sure that they are on the same page too...
I personally don't mind throwing in a bit of shitcoin talk here and there.. especially if we might be bashing on shitcoins or even describing something that also relates to my lil precious... but yeah, there can sometimes be some slippery slope matters, just in terms of saying something about shitcoins, and truly there have to be some members who truly had not realized that bitcoin is actually a thing that they should know about in a kind of leader category rather than as some kind of part of a supposedly BIGGER things.. without realizing that bitcoin happens to be the BIGGER thing that is actually causing more and more folks to pay attention.. ..and even now, maybe there are some advantages, even when it seems strange that sometimes we are making the same (or very similar) arguments that we had already been making at various earlier times in king daddy's history.
