Bitcoin halving 2024 is sure to find a great opportunity for you, and now is the time to sow the seeds to take advantage of that opportunity.

Be careful, you don't go to the shitcoin coin by mistake. It is 100% guaranteed that your investment will be small if you invest in Shitcoin.

Thanks. Just finished "One Piece" - found it very creative and also funny.
Much into Astrophotography lately, tuned my Winter telescope a bit, providing Autofocus.
The last of three clear nights in series, but the moon is setting just before midnight, unfortunately. However, i will show some stacked results in a few days here again  Cool

I like the Green Wallet, and thanks for letting us know they are working on Lightning.  Green allows RBF and Coin Control.

With the extremely high fees, the time is coming when I need to learn how to use Lightning.

Another vote for Green, I see. Good to know. Will keep an eye on it re. LN integration.

Yes, the on-chain fee size is becoming an issue for small payments. But then again, buying coffee on-chain is like using a chainsaw to cut butter. So yeah, 2nd-layer BTC networks are important, and will be more so in the future. I know (have been reading here and there, and also in WO) that LN has its problems, but I hope they get ironed out and we end up with a robust 2nd-layer network, with the uptime and reliability of on-chain transactions, that's going to be standardized and adopted worldwide as a payment method. Michael Saylor is actively promoting this IIRC, as is Jack Dorsey and other big players out there. And no, LTC won't cut it, as it is just a matter of time (i.e., network load) before it clogs up too. The solution must be by design, not by low utilization.

I use Phoenix wallet on my phone for lightning.
It is a custodial wallet and pretty straightforward to use to.
I tried lightning on Green wallet (I have a Blockstream Jade) but found it to be a bit cumbersome. It is still in the experimental stage so stands to reason I guess. I am sure it will be my goto wallet for everything btc related once they iron out the bugs.

It seems to me that LN is not sufficiently mature yet, certainly not to the point of even getting close to on-chain BTC in terms of simplicity and robustness. Maybe it promised more that it could deliver, at least that's how it feels to a LN noob like me. But I do hope we get there in the end. The sound of pressing "Pay" and the transaction confirming in milliseconds is so appealing, especially right after having to wait a full day and eventually using an accelerator to have it confirm on-chain.

But then again, try to do that with real gold... BTC does it infinitely better, even on-chain. So we go back to Andreas Antonopoulos's "cat videos" principle. And rightly so.

We'll get there once demand demands it.

Mempool slightly better but still not great. 150 sat/byte could very well be the new normal.

Mempool are now going to be very poor so they need a lot of money now so they can't be normal yet. Hope you agree with me.  Wink

I'm not in a hurry, so Green may be a good choice. Will wait.

The main thing I look for is a well-designed, easy, friendly UI, reliability, and, ideally, non-custodial. I intend to use it for petty cash transactions (under $1000).

I mean are you looking designer for the app?

Edit.
