Always believe in magic

Oh my.  You have a royal "we" going on?    Probably in your imagination unless you and your girlfriends surf the WO like this?

no, explorer speaks for me in this matter

Me too.

Oh my!!!!!  Shocked    Another whining "me too" wimp.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

There may be a  need for a new interwebs rule, especially for the WO thread:

or perhaps an endurance test?

   Cheesy Cheesy

Toughen up WO participants.

The interwebs should not be a place for thin-skinnedness, whether we are referring to investing in bitcoin or participating this thread.

Nice to see Trump fires Tillerson a day later for saying the Russians were responsible for the UK nerve gas attack.  Putin must be feeling a bit touchy about the whole thing.

And here I was thinking Tillerson was a Putin loyalist.

The Don is not that good at dealing with subordinates who aren't property, so he occasionally misjudges a folk.

oy are things going to get ugly https://www.nature.com/articles/s41380-017-0001-5 A combined analysis of genetically correlated traits identifies 187 loci and a role for neurogenesis and myelination in intelligence

Why would they?
Interesting paper, though, thanks.
Incidentally, myelination was always going to be a factor since we know that in rare diseases where myelination is negatively affected (Tay-Sachs, Gaucher, Neimann-Pick) the result is always mental retardation.
uh well a lot of it was news to me at least in such a big study, but iana psychiatric geneticist. thought it was more fuel for the bigots.
Reality is bigoted, sweet summer child.

Close up as we get ready to close the candle for the day.

And maybe a longer than daily cycle too.

I see one regular/two timestretched, bitcrushed mammothlets smoldering into chaos. A new cycle begins?

If so, all I've dreamed about steady Fridays, Saturdays and explicit time ranges was, well, a dream.

Be a bank
https://blogs.imf.org/2018/03/13/addressing-the-dark-side-of-the-crypto-world/

2018 is going to be another long slog with these lizards. The bloody G20 doesn't finish till December 1st.

Thanks for the link.

written by Christine Lagarde a paragon of virtue.
convicted of negligence - the French tax payer forked our over $306 million to settle a case brought by Bernard Tapie for alleged fraud by the French Bank Credit Lyonnais over its sale of Tapie's stake in Addidas. Lagarde did not appeal the award given to polititian Bernard Tapie (no one seems to know why?)
Her punishment - none. No fine, no jail time, no criminal record.

Her predecessor in IMF Strauss-Khan resigned over sexual assault charges again no conviction.

And Strauss- Khan's predecessor Rodrigo Rato faced trial for corruption charges he got 4years 6 months jail time.

A nice bunch of guys altogether and instead of putting their own house in order they are worried about crypto being used for money laundering, tax evasion, etc. Hell you dont need crypto to do any of that good old fashioned fiat will do nicely.

Strauss-Kahn was probably pretty handsy, but his 'legal' treatment was a farce, and the whole deal was some power play by Obama-ists to affect the politics of France.

The moment they finally get that nailed down Elon lands on mars and thumbs his nose at them.
You're making it sound as if Elon is never going to land on Mars. :/

isn't Elon from Mars? ..did i miss something? :\ hmm
Might as well be, South Africa doesn't seem much different from Mars right now. And at current rates Mars is likely to surpass SA within a few decades.

I vote Elon as first President of Mars...just saying.  As far as the threat of AI, it is very serious as he speaks of in that video. Narrow AI..game bots if you will, are now learning without being taught..and beating the best of the previous gens already. I think a key to getting through this doorway could be through philosophy merging more with hard sciences. If the machines can be taught to care about us as we do for children..

On to Bitcoin.

The battle is fierce today as the Bulls and Bears face off. I think we are forming a bullish wedge though, and could see rising prices coming as the bull push forward. Shorts are dropping and longs rising as well. I expect resistance at the same areas we have tested before but this looks strong as support holds at 9k.

From last night. noisy.
