@BritishHodl
This is what a Spot ETF in the USA did to Gold for 8 years.

8 years of up on an asset with a flexible supply schedule.

What do you think is going to happen to #Bitcoin  which has a fixed defined supply, that halves every 4 years, of which people that own the coins HODL 80% of them?

These bearish on #Bitcoin  ETF people are either the stupidest people on earth, or have an agenda to be bearish.

Like the Gold sellers did when I was telling people to use GLD, they hated me because their business was dying.

Just on price - how can you be bearish on a Spot #Bitcoin  ETF?

We can argue ideology and philosophy.

But we can’t argue financial physics of supply and demand.

It’s hard not to take notice of altcoins absolutely ripping right now. It seems a little early in the cycle to be seeing altcoin season but here it is… I wonder if the newfound wealth these holders of alts are seeing will help be a catalyst for Bitcoin’s advance when they move profits into BTC from other cryptocurrencies.

Most of the groups I stalk that are discussing alt coins hardly ever discuss Bitcoin.  They are always discussing the next Alt or micro cap.  In fact, they look at Bitcoin as a less worthy investment vs thier shitcoins.  Not to say that there are not any folks that consolidate gains into Btc but, I think the typical alt coiner does not.

Bitcoin is having a nice run but with its mempool issues currently you can really see the effect on higher throughput blockchains. Solana and ADA seem to be crushing it as a result. I hope Bitcoin can get this figured out. It is way too early in the cycle to be having these issues. Makes you wonder who these people are making transactions currently.

I have used some XMR and LTC recently ( which were quite fast and cheap), it is almost impossible to move btc now. Curiously, those coins are not performing well...

I bet you 5 BTC I can move any amount of BTC on chain with absolutely no problems, most likely in the next block.

Choose your words more carefully.

How is it possible you have been here this long and not got it yet?

Bitcoin fees are going to just get higher, along with price, along with the size of the transactions, both in bytes as well as value.

There is no other way for it to work.  Transactions are going to use different tech with different tradeoffs.  And yes the different tech can just be LTC or ETH.  But that is like using a shop vac to empty your home vacuum cleaner.  Then taking the shop vac to the car wash and using one of theirs to empty it.

We are not solving the "problem" we are kicking the can down the road.

Luckily it's not a problem.  It's a feature.  One that enables decentralized freedom money.
