Moscow Stock Exchange is creating an infrastructure to trade cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. The exchange plans to trade cryptocurrencies as well as derivatives and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on them. This announcement closely follows the plan by Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev to regulate bitcoin as a financial asset.

So in Russia they will make it legal and possible to trade Bitcoin and cryptos for the guys with deep pockets while the average worker will not be allowed to invest in it. This is pretty sad to read and I doubt it will work out.
Probably a thriving black market will exist beside that regulation, as I can not believe people who are aware of cryptos will accept getting robbed the opportunity to invest or speculate with that technology, which could change so many people's situations into a better life.
This is a misdirection to get the USA to think crypto isn't that important. Russia's weak economy can be bolstered if all its citizens bought BTC and they know this. Russia still plans to build massive mining infrastructure
Mining in russia is pretty much the most profitable place to mine
The fight for the last 5 million BTC will take many years and by then the electricity to produce 1 bitcoin will be over 10k even in Russia, and price of BTC probably be at least 100k
Intersting news - thanks for sharing - hopefully that will add a small increase to the long term value of BTC - good news in my opinion

It looks more like a slow decline from yesterday's blast up. Totally normal.
Retesting old all time high. Business as usual for technical trading
Maybe get worried if we close the week below 4300.
Just closed short and bought dip at 4507 plans to buy more if we can get down to 4450 today.

1) There will be a general crash in crypto because it will be proved that they can be killed by such attacks; and
2) There are many better coins than BitCH to play with.

Just woke up to see that the Euro-land ATH was broken last night, and has now become 3870 €/BTC. And it looks like it's going to be broken again very soon!
I'm reading all the posts about how BCH is dead, etc. Well, it may be so, but I've decided to hold it for a while longer and see how things play out. My way of thinking is this:
If I sell my BCH for BTC:
- My BTC holdings increase by around 12% (with current prices) = Insignificant gain.
- If BTC plummets and BCH gets a major boost = Significant loss.
If I keep my BCH:
- My BTC holdings stay the same = No gain.
- If BTC plummets and BCH gets a major boost = Significant gain and insurance against the unexpected.
So, HoDLing my BCH allows me to sleep peacefully at night, knowing I'm safe whatever happens. As much as I dislike Jihan Wu, Roger Ver, and all the rest of them, I don't want to underestimate their power. Better safe than sorry.

This seems a little disingenuous.
Firstly the insignificant gain of 12% is actually pretty decent.
Also, if you keep your BCH and it falls to zero you have had a loss of potential money. True that you haven't actually lost money you've invested but still.......
Saying all this I still haven't sold any and am sitting on all of them. I like the idea that if for some reason Johan or Roger did manage to convince enough miners to flip the two coins in terms of value I am no better or worse off
