Bear with me
Happy to hold bitcoin. The latest FUD doesn't affect the price too much. Still many traders that have to get back in so I don't get worried from the forking FUD.

This place is a monochrome cesspool and you know it.

Now who wants to play minecraft?

I see it differently. You can't see much conflict in monochrome places and this place is full of conflict! You can't enrich your intellectual world in this place, but you surely can sense a lot on what is currently happening in the market. You can determine a lot on the sentiment and reflect on the reactions you get here.

I'm not a Bitcoin messiah but there's plenty of space within this forum to discuss about alternative coins trading. This is the wall observer thread for bitcoin, let's keep it this way.

This thread is the single most colorful virtual space in the crypto scenery, mainly because like 90%+ post don't remain in the tight frames of the topic Tongue

Anyway, I just finished directing most of my gambling money into LTC. My pockets sure feel heavy with this retro-coin, but I'm expecting a surprise in the near future. We'll see if it was madness or sparta Wink

Fuck off with your alt-coin pumping shit thanks.

the only time you show up here is to pump your shitcoins and dump on bitcoin ... we don't need your eastern euro-trash shittalk around here thanks.

You seem upset.. don't be.. this game is much easier when you won't let things get to you. Leaving emotion out of this game makes you see things more clearly. If you see this game as extremely important, then you won't have the needed flexibility for winning.
My recommendation for hardcore bitcoin enthusiasts is to let go of their messiah complex with fantasies of saving the world with bitcoin. This is only a game, so better make it a fun game Smiley

Hmm... Bill Murray, I know... Google Image Search tells me 'Groundhog Day' - a movie I've never seen (despite my finding Andie MacDowell (she was in that, right?) a room-filling brilliance). Relevance? You and I have been kicking around these parts publicly since mid-2011 (somewhat longer as an unregistered lurker for me). The movie is something about the same events playing over & over?

You nailed the reason for the image, but didn't see how it applied specifically to your post. Here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.18203837

You guys are giving me shit about "no trust needed in Bitcoin" blah blah blah... but you do want BU to actually become the solution to what everyone considers "scaling Bitcoin", don't you? Otherwise, what the fuck are we talking about here? If that happens, their code will have to define the protocol which runs the network, right? This is obviously what I'm talking about when I made my flippant comment about trust and both of you should be smart enough to understand that.

This is similar to the debate 'vaccines cause autism'. One side has actual data to support their claim that it doesn't, the other has pseudo-science and 1 false research which claims otherwise. Roll Eyes

This is complete bullshit.  Some vaccines are more dangerous than others, like the pertussis vaccine which is known to cause brain swelling aka brain damage, which has been observed in mice and humans.  They bundle this vaccine in with the tetanus shot.  I got bit by a dog and took once and couldn't concentrate to read for like 48-72 hours after taking it.  I'll probably never touch a vaccine again, especially not that one (which is probably the most dangerous one of all).  Then the secondary issue about whether the all the side byproducts in the vaccine like mercury and formaldehyde are bad for you is a whole different issue.  If there is any single vaccine to avoid, it is the pertussis shot.

you know expect the incentive to NOT have everyone loss confidence in the network.
Yet this "incentive" somehow isn't preventing you from desiring a split in Bitcoin, which is.. you've guessed it: a loss of confidence in the network.

a miner fighting for 50 Blocks ( potentially losing $$$$$$$ if it doesn't work in his favor) only to incress block size so he can include more TX fee, all the while knowing once the regor hits and the news comes out price will crash.

yaaaaaaaaaa thats a remote possibility
Yet it does exist. Smiley

you misunderstand the built in incentives.
take the deal...
There are no incentives to prevent chain reorganizations. This is how BTU was meant to work. I looks like even you don't understand what you're preaching for.

you are right, but the anti-vaccine side has the power to blow it all up. i think it would be better to reach out and find a compromise. another multiyear downtrend now would be a killer.

incredible irony that this showdown seems to take place in a moment of highest prices in bitcoin history. in a moment of grand success. we got there all together. we should stay together.
UASF: User activated soft fork. This is most likely what is coming, although deploying SWSF alone would be much simpler. If the BTU signalling (ironically still running Bitcoin Core) pools were to do that, Segwit would be at around 50-70%.

if you find yourself having FOMO about some shitcoin train

i'm sorry there's no hope for you... just, go make yourself useful and run a BU node.
BU is the caboose on the shitcoin train ... so you're right at home I guess.
Ironically, if the BTU folk do truly care about the users as the claim that they do, they'd add SWSF and 'emergent consensus' on top of that. This adds a short term capacity increase and plenty of benefits, and they get to keep their 'HF is best' nonsense. In reality, they don't care about the users.

where do u guys trade DASH and ETH?
Poloniex.

once again, vinny nails it.

we should try to stand together. we need to find a compromise. civil war needs to stop.

Ill compromise..

if core code's EC instead of "effective block weight" i'll accept their segwit.
EC is highly unsafe and radical change to the security of Bitcoin. How many times does this have to be told to you? Even if you had a transaction with 50 confirmations, it could end up being dropped due to a chain reorganization. Roll Eyes

notorious shrimp!
Sold all ETH. It began to reach a little too high for my taste. Will probably buy back after the floor has had some proper testing of strength. Sold 50% of DASH. It's healthier for cryptos with younger markets to run this fast Wink

I would have done exactly the opposite (sell all of dash and 50% of ETH) but hey, that's just me! Smiley

Nobody knows how this will end up. But I am curious... you did sell into fiat or into btc?
