They gave opportunities to buy Bitcoin at it's cheapest in quite a while
A sad move on their part, not like I care though
Countries holding Bitcoin in billions ain't comforting
UK government has about 61K BTC
That's quite some zero's.

If respect still depents on sexual oientation, can the US even be ready for a female president?

The right one, sure.

Kamala or Hillary aren't it, tho.

I want a Kamala Harris & Liz Cheney ticket. I would certainly pick them over Trump & Vance.

The Ukraine situation is easy to sum up by the numbers, war is costly and wastes alot of money for almost no direct gains.  Somebody is getting rich off that war but its only the companies related to armament production industry.

So the war has put a bias into the economy that isnt going to be appreciated by most, it'd weaken the prospects for the budget of any government paying for it.   Im not sure people on the street tens of thousands of miles away really can account for it to that extent even if it does make sense to help the borders of NATO countries.

Kamala hasnt the name recognition to get elected that I know of.   Thats going to be hard to do in just a few months and of course its harder to win that fight for that job as a women.  Surely a VP could have become better known by now, was that on purpose or did I just miss all the great speeches and hype that is surely required.

Im a bit late on the BTC poll, I vote BTC is bullish in an increasingly volatile way as we have made a 5 month low only weeks ago.

Not that my POV counts as a Brit but Tulsi Gabbard seems to have the brains and the military background to be a president imho.

And she is super pretty.

She should have been Trump's running mate I reckon.

But I appreciate she is independent at the moment.

.....However, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger (hopefully)

I hate to be the bearer of not so great ideas.. in that I am not convinced about the "whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger" point of view.. even though it might kind-of somewhat work for young whipper snappers.

Do you happen to be a young whipper snapper?  #asking-4-a-friend

Actually, i'm a mid-ager and i have to admit that my WDKYMYS statement was more or less wishful thinking  Wink (Which the term "hopefully" should have emphasized)
I'm quite young in my mind, though, and i still jump over the fences instead of looking for a door  Tongue

Only if she is bi-sexual and up for a threesome.

I can't help but notice that every political leader who backs Zelensky seems to get booted out of office within 2-3 years tops.

Von Der Leyen appears to be the exception but then there were no other candidates when she "won" that initial election or the recent one.

Pretty much every single other western leader has had to resign, was forced out or the entire government collapsed.

Well Putin is waging information war, massive hackings etc., against us, so that might have an impact.

Or it's just confirmation bias on your part.

Biden's decision has nothing to do with Ukraine and everything to do with him being senile and enough in his party no longer thinking he can win because of that and/or not wanting to hide the fact anymore.

In the UK, the Tories had been in power since 2010 and were not popular even before the start of the 2022 Ukraine war, them losing isn't surprising.

I could continue.

And if you're making the reverse argument that Putin's friends, most of them dictators, are still in power, well...they're dictators.

Important to note that here in the UK, the Labour favourite switch in the polling happened after Russia invaded Ukraine.
In 2019 the conservatives won with a massive 43% of the vote share, far more than 34% that Labour had recently
(even though they ended up with even more parliamentary seats).

I don't necessarily think supporting Ukraine IS the actual problem (and thus information attacks or whatever you may think is going on),
I think it's merely taking your eye OFF the ball at home is just not popular in the long run.
Voters probably wonder "Well what about us and our future? Are OUR borders not important? etc"

Don't forget that even Winston Churchill surprisingly heavily LOST the 1945 general election that was called straight after WW2 ended.

Thus I think what I pointed out is a legitimate observation.

I suspect, IF, Trump wins in November he will hold ALL the  cards what the outcome with
Ukraine - Russia will be and the European leaders will have to go along with whatever he wants.

I think it will be a swift end to the war. Can he do it whilst he is President-elect? It will be interesting to see.
Obviously I hope for that in a way, but I also hope that Ukraine does well out of any deal eventually, rather than gets shafted.
In that light it seems to me that only Trump is preparing for a possible off ramp.
Just giving more and more weapons to Ukraine surely cannot be the answer long term?

And by the way do I (also) think Putin is a cunt?
- Yes, 100%

Lol Biden is forced to step away… that’s my take on it…

Surely not smart enough to decide it for himself.
