I don't  buy the whole anti-Gensler sentiment...
He certainly knows his stuff.  His MIT lectures "Blockchain and money" are among the best on the topic out there.

I tend to think Gensler is good for Bitcoin and bad for shitcoins...

There is a quite reasonable explanation why he wasn't answering the mEth questions in the hearing straightly.
That is, his agency is probably building a case against mEth.

That was painful to watch. Gensler's interaction with the audience is so awkward - he can’t pronounce their names properly, he can't even remember their names, asks questions they can't answer etc. Just terrible.

Compare him to the masterful performance of Michael Sandel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBdfcR-8hEY
Well, there is no comparison.

Bitcoin supply is diminishing…

luckily for buyers, 180k previously locked Bitcoins will enter the market, probably this year...

Still less than half a year of block rewards though...

If I had gox coins returned I wouldn't sell at these shit prices. I'd wait until near the next ATH unless I needed money so badly that I had no choice but to sell.

I doubt all those coins will get dumped immediately.

Also, they moved the repayment deadline a few times already, and might do again.

Please also note that, in consideration of various circumstances, the above deadline might be extended with the permission of the Tokyo District Court, or a different deadline might be set for
some of the repayments with the permission of the Tokyo District Court.

Yes, I think people who decided to receive BTC are probably not planning to dump soon (in general).

But for those who decided to receive fiat Kobayashi will sell coins..  I don't even remember if he sold otc last time...

I thought he had already dumped enough coins in late 2017 to pay off the fiat. Does he still need to dump more?

afaik yes.

After that dump he said

I plan to consult with the court and determine further sale of BTC and BCC.

The creditors could choose until lately how much fiat they wanna receive... so on that it depends I think

I think as for now Gensler stopped at shitcoins, because Bitcoin is no security.  And that is good for BTC.
I don't know how he will act in the future.. maybe he will get pressured by "someone" to attack BTC as well... who knows ... I'll be watching Wink

you are trusting a career long politician to do something that is "good for bitcoin"?
think again...he will change his mind when he will destroy the rest...he would find something wrong with whatever in bitcoin too, you just wait.
Actually, even now, he suppresses bitcoin by NOT allowing bitcoin ETFs, clearly a repressive move that has not a single valid reason behind it.
With such "friends", I would look over my shoulder all the time.

I wonder why you always put words in my mouth?  It's the second time now.
I never said I trust him... Roll Eyes   why should I?  he seemingly was in bed with FTX

I'm talking about what he is doing with regards to shitcoins vs Bitcoin.. that's it

And apart from rejecting ETFs he has differentiated correctly between BTC and shitcoins to this date

my bags would love see an US ETF, but I doubt that he is the only one in charge for that decision..

"Hey, buddy"...sorry, i forgot if this is for a fight or consolation of a child?
You literally wrote: "Gensler stopped....and that is good for bitcoin." Those are your words, not mine and they came out of your mouth aka typing fingers.
NOTHING he ever did is good for bitcoin, period.
I don't trust a single word coming out of his mouth.

what fight..?  Do you have anger issues or stress lately?

Is it ill intention or misunderstanding that you are again twisting stuff I said...?

"Gensler stopped....and that is good for bitcoin." doesn't mean that I trust trust him, like you accused me of ...  Roll Eyes

And that you think he has never done anything that turned out good for Bitcoin is, you know, just your opinion, dude...

IMO, declaring BTC as a non-security was good for Bitcoin...

So we have two different opinions here ...buddy...   I hope you can live with that

Man who stares at charts (and stars, too...)
So the EU finally decided to regulate the Crypto Market (sorry for lack of sauce).
Which imho means that they gave up thinking about "banning" Crypto.
Interesting points are the foced reporting by exchanges and brokers
of transfers from private wallets to customer wallets (and vice versa, most likely) if the transaction value is over € 1.000.
That's kind of a bummer, but finally there is a strong statement regarding the embracement of CC.

EDIT: I am using non-EU exchanges for buying and collecting DCA'd Satoshis (from EU resident brokers), from where i transfer to private wallet a few times a year to respect  NYKNYC.

China's decision obviously created lots of pressure upon the western nations, regarding Crypto acceptance.
Thanks, chinese government, now please also give up all support for Russia. Thanks  Cool

I hope that this is the waiting time for a bitcoin, there could be a number of reasons, but the most important thing, I think, is to make bitcoin more prosperous.BTC

The world is severely short #Bitcoin .

19.4 million total $BTC are in circulation, or about 92% of the 21 million bitcoin that will *ever* be mined. Only 8% of the supply  is still up for grabs.

#Bitcoin  stands alone as the only significant proof-of-work asset, it's 21 million supply cap is actually credible, and it's invention can't be replicated.

Everyone needs Bitcoin whether they know it yet or not, because it's the strongest form of property a person can own. Eventually, everyone will catch on to this.

I estimate that than 1% of people truly understand #Bitcoin  and are buying as much of the supply as they possibly can, holding, and not selling at any price.

What happens to the $BTC price when the other 99% of people decide they want to get their hands on the remaining 8% of the supply?
