Lindsay Lohan and Jake Paul hit with SEC charges over crypto scheme

I confused porn stars Kendra Lust with Kendra Spade.

The latter is MUCH younger and has a decent Naughty America VR scene ("PSE") I would recommend for those into it.
One of the few ones I remember, so definitely made an impression.

Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On March 22, 2023, Coinbase Global, Inc. and Coinbase, Inc. (collectively, the “Company”) received a “Wells Notice” from the Staff (“Staff”) of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) stating that the Staff has advised the Company that it made a “preliminary determination” to recommend that the SEC file an enforcement action against the Company alleging violations of the federal securities laws, including the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), and the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”). Based on discussions with the Staff, the Company believes these potential enforcement actions would relate to aspects of the Company’s spot market, staking service Coinbase Earn, Coinbase Prime and Coinbase Wallet. The potential civil action may seek injunctive relief, disgorgement, and civil penalties. The Company published additional information on a blog related to the foregoing which can be found at www.coinbase.com/blog and on the Twitter feeds of Brian Armstrong (@brian_armstrong) and Paul Grewal (@iampaulgrewal). Information on or accessible through the Company’s website or Twitter is not incorporated by reference in this Current Report on Form 8-K.
This information shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Exchange Act, or incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act or the Exchange Act, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.

Well I was wrong about the hike…no surprise there..although many ppl were calling for 25bp rate hike I thought that the Fed would take the bank failures into consideration…guess things are gonna get interesting going forward.

You think I don’t know that? See my post.

I know you know that. I just don't think you appreciate the implications. That the EC is in place affects everything from the candidates chosen to the campaigns and how people turn out. One of the (many) factors thought to be a factor in Hillary's defeat is that she basically said "fuck it" to campaigning in several states (her being a horrible candidate should not be ignored, of course, let alone fucking over Bernie). Get rid of the EC and it's a totally different election. The votes don't transfer over, however much you'd like that to be the case.

...seriously dude?

Hey, you were the one glibly dismissing (and insulting) the longstanding institution of the EC.

born once atheist

There was no popular vote.

Of course there was.

... That's not how the election is decided. .....

You think I don’t know that? See my post.
.....

... Thinking that the vote counts would have been the same under a different system is low-quality thinking.

The electoral college is premised around that whole "United States" thing, by the way. I know you're sore that your chosen one was roundly given the boot but it's good to understand why and not just throw the toys out of the pram.

Apparently in your world, I'm a "low quality thinker" then.

Now excuse me while I go "throw more toys out of my pram" because my "chosen one was roundly given the boot"......

...seriously dude?

Anyway, even if it was supposed to be nickel, it's barely over a million dollars worth; a tonne of nickel is worth ~80% of one bitcoin.  Not even sure why this is a story since $1M is a drop in the bucket for ole JP with a net profit of $128B last year.

That's the kind of money where if they had it as a fine for bad behavior, they'd just increase the bad behavior to cover the cost.

Screw the price
Heres another Lymerick

There once was a young man named Green
Who grew so abnormally lean
flat and compressed
Till his back squeezed his chest
and sideways he couldn't be seen.
