If he has more coins ready and is smart he should stop putting up walls for a little while and slowly put them back again on the way up.
If he keeps adding these walls it might actually stop us from going up for a while and he will be forced to market sell or put a new wall up way lower.

maybe thats the plan...

he'll buy back when it goes down, and do it all over again

market maker!

bitcoin may be in this range for weeks....

or not!

so exciting

I hope that BTC prices remain in this range at least long enough for me to receive my fiat that is due to come in (could be a couple weeks or maybe up to 6 or 8 weeks on the outside...

Makes me anxious knowing that I have fiat is scheduled to be on the way (and pretty likely to come), but I am NOT sure exactly enough when it will arrive and for sure that it will arrive (even though I have assurances that the fiat will arrive).

Maybe that is what he is doing. He just happens to have a LOT of coins to sell.

PS: I'm also struggling to make sense of the wall movements today. The seller seem genuinely interested in selling a chunk at this price level. If he wanted to bring the price down he would have dumped. It would have been easy for him to do when we were below $590 imo, but he waited until we were well above $600, and until the bullish sentiment had returned. When/if he removes the walls everything will be ready and primed to go higher (BTC-e is the only major exchange that is behind). This is the best I can come up with  Smiley
He dont care what the price is today he is selling because of the date.

Now you got me worried. He might know something we don't. If he suddenly starts dumping because this is going to slow we might have a problem.

why would you have a problem?

you don't trade. remember?

if the price dumps it's definitely not a problem to me, or anyone else who can only buy a set amount per month or paycheck.

as I said before, these institutional miners are playing a beneficial role in stabilizing the price. something that was unexpected to me, at first/

BTC = FREEDOM IS OUR ONLY HOPE!

It seems more likely that consciousness is rationalization after the actions.

mmm ... it's a very interesting thought, thank you.

I still think there is something beyond consciousness, perhaps sub-conscious or super-conscious, that dominates our existence.

or rather, something outside our understanding of this reality that we are constantly in communication with, yet completely unaware of.

3rd wall I believe.

Anyways, if he had some brains he'd put it up on $640,-. People buy like crazies at this moment. Once that point is reached the wall will be eaten like a sandwich.

But yeah, stupid is as stupid does.

There seems to be too many assumptions that the whale is the same person.  Let's say that he puts it at $640, then someone puts another wall at $630 and someone else puts another wall at $625.  If a person is really motivated to sell quickly and to retain some price stability, then s/he is going to put the wall at the point to achieve that objective without having someone else get in at a lower point or the market reversing before it reaches his/her price point.

In the meantime chinese exchanges are catching up with bitstamp. These walls could be an arbitrage effort.

i won't worry about that, it makes alot of sense to encounter resistance here good news or not.
the support and lack of selling in front of this wall is mighty encouraging.

It may keep going up, play the trend, let's move the discussion past 1000$ and a lot of positive consequences will arrive

Reading the first few pages of this thread really give some perspective on the price
