Man who stares at charts (and stars, too...)
DISCLAIMER: beautiful off-topic content

Good night from M31 (Andromeda), our neighbour galaxy.
Stacked about 35 minutes of exposure, reduced stars a bit, enhanced contrast.

YOU CAPTURED THIS!!???!?!?!??

What a universe we live in!

Yes and yes   Cool
However, i did a full star reduction and blended the original layer over it, with 60% opacity and boosted whites.
That made the Andromeda galaxy look so impressive and added way more depth to the image. The original stacked data frames were looking a little too boring and flat.
I was always fascinated looking up in the sky at night since i was a child. Looking up keeps us grounded and also reminds us what tiny of an unimportant fart we really are  Grin

EDIT: Tomorrow i'll try to have a shot at the moon. First try, by the way. I hope for clear skies  Roll Eyes

Dropping into the bottle is a no go.
Constant drug use is a no go.
Constant gambling is a no go.
Or like my bro in law a carb addiction that actually speed up and increased his dementia literally earning his brain cells with the sugar in the carbs.

A no go.

Philipma, I find it interesting and comforting to know that you have found the truth. Even at an advanced age.

Sadly, I still see the vast majority of people around me that have not had the epiphany nor likely ever will.

I see young people destroying their health with zero exercise, too much booze, too much smoking (or vaping), and too much carbs/sugar.

They get fatter and fatter every day, lungs destroyed, ADHD and mental issues. Many are obese with bodies of a person 30-40 years their senior. And they constantly wonder why they feel so shitty all the time and have so many mental health issues. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Many boomers with dementia and literally falling apart and nearly dead by age 60, dead by 70 or so. I doubt the younger gens will even make it that far.

Meanwhile the 0.001% of the Jack Lalanne's of the world live to be nearly 100, happy and in good health.

Yeah keto and 20 minutes on the stationary bike after each meal does wonders.

my a1c was 12.1 which means you are going to die soon.
my a1c is 6.7 to 7.1 which is decent for a diabetic.

I am getting on the bike now and will pedal while I watch Netflix.

@ copetech.

I crushed myself from 1972 to 1985.

I started to attempt recovery in 1985.

1972-1985 drugs and complusive gambling.

I had a major psychotic break in 1972 on acid.

I had a medium psychotic break in 1975 on acid.

I had the long term descent into psychosis while in the Navy in 1981

Stopped drugs mostly by 1985 got a bit better.
stopped all drugs by 1991 got much better.
Met a really good psychologist in 1994 and still see her 28 years later.
I also ended gambling in 1990.
I am a life long asthmatic.
I also found out that I am diabetic in 2018 just in time to get treated and under control. So that When covid hit me in Jan 2020 I survived it .

Oh covid gave me pyronies  disease my Johnson became bent into the shape of a C after three years of treatment it is bent like ( .

Never mind the 180 day viagra incident.

My psych meds were change in 2005 and they gave me 100mg viagra pills which I took for 180 days with out realizing that they were viagra.

I could write more as there are a lot of pebbles for me to toss about.

Left turns vs right turns etc. But all in all I am still here and efforting to be here for years to come.

The pain will fade and leave a scar.
When I think back to the viagra incident I get so freaking angry and it hurts to think of the suffering I endured running around with hardons basically like I was 15 and not understanding why it was happening.

One good thing was I realized 180 days zero symptoms of psychosis meant I could stop the psych drugs.

Which likely caused me the diabetes I found out about in 2018.

But with keto diet no drugs are needed for the diabetes .

So a gain.

What is my long speech about.life can toss lots of pebbles and you can still be okay.

At 65 I am doing pretty well. Current set of pebbles are caring for my dementia riddled bro in law.

But enough about my and my pebbles.

Shoot me a pm if you want to talk more.

Well, Phil, that's what I call brutal honesty about oneself.
I am of an upbringing that just cannot allow such open talk, sadly.
Perhaps, I need a good shrink.

9 year k to 8 Roman Catholic school. I was a real and true believer.
I thought I would be a priest between 7 and 8 grade puberty hit I knew being a priest and practicing celibacy was not something I was going to do.

Got lots of stories from back then but that would likely fill this entire thread with a shit ton of off topic info.

As for a good therapist they can help. A lot of stuff one can do is helpful.

Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
I saw your late entry to Pumpkin Contest, and it’s a nice addition to your hat btw.

I’m sure selection of “orange” with engraved BTC have connection with Bitcoin and orange logo.
When I was crafting I did not have the connection in mind until another user made a comment about it on the contest page. Yeah, I did not bother to join the contest. That's why I was not in such a hurry to post it. I took my time and crafted it slowly. In fact it took me 3 days to complete and total working hour could be more or less 2 hours LOL
