Volume today Wed Feb/19 was about one half of yesterday's in all exchanges, except Bitstamp where it increased by about 30%.

Volume in the Chinese exchanges was ~2/3 of the total.

I am not counting MtGOX in that total, since it still seems to be isolated from the rest.

All numbers were collected by hand from the site http://bitcoinwisdom.com. Beware of possible errors.

For each exchange, the numbers include only the trade volume to/from the currencies listed in the rightmost column. Trade between BTC and other cryptocoins, such as LiteCoin, is NOT included.

Dates on the header line are UTC. Specifically, "01/15" means "from 01/15 00:00:00 UTC to 01/15 23:59:59 UTC". (Beware that Bitcoinwisdom uses your local time, so the date may appear to be off by 1 day.  For example, if you are 2 hours west of Greenwich, it may show "01/14 22:00" when the UTC time is "01/15 00:00".)

NOTE: A few days ago, MtGOX has suspended withdrawals of Bitcoins and national currencies.  Therefore it is essentially isolated from other markets, and its price is completely out of the norm.  The exceptional trade volumes above may be meaningless.

Thank goodness he and his irrelevant and annoyingly long posts are gone.

I did not say that.  Wink

Well, that's good to hear.

However, Windy, I truly believe kindness, trust and patience are the only way to change someone's behaviour, even their attitudes or beliefs.

But all you seem to do here is spread hate and ill-feeling -- it's very sad that a (supposedly) 40 year old (supposed) millionaire feels compelled to act like that towards strangers whose only 'sin' is to disagree with you.

Look there are intelligent posters, there are trolls and then there is Jorge, who is obsessive compulsive about when Chinese people sleep and just pontificates on this point for thousands of words a day. He hasn't added Ny value to the forum.  He just uses this forum for his own amusement and is yet another clog in the forum wheel that is slowly driving people away. Just go read Ristos thread. So many feel the way I do. The joy here is gone.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1ye90u/mtgox_establishes_withdrawal_queue/

Queue , just like fiat. Might be fake. But LOL if this turns out to be Gox's solution.
According to the reddit comments, this isn't legit.

Yea, but this kind of solution makes perfect sense considering Gox's history.

Gox is now offically offtopic your posts will be removed ~ thanks! ;-) lolzzz

Btc withdrawals queue is there and when you try to witdraw it says, - cant do that at the moment queue if full. try again after few hours.

So, being true to form, Bitcoin will do the exact opposite...

Yes, whatever happens, Bitcoin is always going to be one of man's most counter-intuitive inventions.

^ this, I am actually on the verge of shorting btc, just because everyone else thinks it is going up like crazy.

Thanks to all the "Voltaires" who asked me to continue posting even though they disagree with my views.

I would like to reply to everybody who posted comments on my posts, positive or negative; but there have been too many of them, and besides it would be irritating for many of you, boring for many others.  Again, that is not why I am reading and posting to this forum.

Let me just emphasize that I distinguish "promoting the bitcoin project" from "convincing people to invest in bitcoin".

I am afraid that this note is too long already. Thanks for your attention. I sincerely wish you all the best.

I hope we will continue to see you Jorge.

All the best to you too.

Thank goodness he and his irrelevant and annoyingly long posts are gone.

From where I am sitting things can go either 2 ways here.

Mt Gox survives which means the market won't go any lower than it currently is.

Mt Gox dies and there will be one more big dip.

So the last question remaining is how low will the market go if gox dies?

I am starting to think that whether gox live or gox dies is going to be irrelevant a year from now when at the very least people are gonna wish they had bought in at $625.

its weird i see it the other way around....

Mt Gox survives market will dip on the arb. grab

Mt Gox dies, its finally over, bitcoiners around the world rejoys as price rockets to toward infinity
I highly doubt that... at least short term the price will fall

Just on the previous update the price went up pretty fucking hard instantly. When Gox announces to continue withdrawals in the next 24 hours, shit gonna hit the fan hard.
Gox>$650+ within hours. Stamp starts to follow, so do the others.

From there building it up to the old $900 levels.

This is what the majority of people probably believe. So, being true to form, Bitcoin will do the exact opposite...

+1

Just as much as people wish they bought at $25 exactly 1 year ago...

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
they broke their home page while trying to add the update?

i don't think trading on the site stopped, even when people said it was down?  Something huge is going to happen with Gox...it is like a ticking time bomb that is going to explode.   I saw someone in another thread talking about a buy out.  That would be the best case scenario if a bigger company came in and bought out Gox, and brought it back from the dead...

Pokerstars could buy it...lol...they have enough money, and have a good customer service history and online record...
