Do you suppose this might have something to do with why you turned out to be an independent thinker? Smiley

Well I also don't own a TV, go shopping, read magazines/newspapers, eat processed food, use microwave, never had a 9-5 job etc.

A clear recipe for becoming a business magnate. Try it, you may be surprised  Grin

A clear recipe for becoming locked up in an asylum.

Hopefully this comment is not too soon.

but you also don't use the PM box to reply either :p

I think we all have something in common, we have our eyes open to the world.  I watched RT news and that's how i heard about bitcoin.

Here's the much awaited bitcoin investment plan.

If only we could make all newbs stick to it until they gain full age and responsibility on bitcoin issues.

The way the holders have the balls to hold is that they understand what is happening. The world is switching over to secure digital asset ledgers. They are simply unquestionably superior. Since they've already cashed out enough fiat currency to meet their daily needs, the only thing they care about is increasing their share in that asset register.

If you want be able to hold on to your coins, deeper research and thought about the system in the grand sweep of things is essential. Here are some links for deep Bitcoin scholarship:

Hey Zang - Great summary. Once again. Thank you.

And I completely agree with your advice behind this post. That has been my experience exactly - and that of my few friends who have gone deep enough to understand. The more I grok what is really going on, and the economic forces at work, the more solid I become. And the more I understand, the more confident I become that I will be able to recognize the signs if my internal model is flawed.

Of course it does not hurt to have pulled out profit and recouped my initial investment long ago.

I also believe the risk for investment right now is much lower than when I first got started, even though the numbers are much bigger. It is still a binary game, but with IMHO, a still massively disproportionate risk/reward profile.

Hey cool, all of these already apply to me! Smiley I do own a TV, though. But it's being used as a monitor for a PC.
Dayum. I was just about to post the exact same thing.

The only reason I bought a 3D TV was to get a 55" LED/LCD panel with a 240Hz refresh rate for my main computer.

I've been car-free since 1966, job-free since 1976, tobacco-free since 1985, drug-free since 1988, and TV-free since 1997.

Just say no!

the last time I watched TV may be was back in 2003 during the Iraq war, by that I mean I was really siting and watching.... I do own a big flat TV but mostly my wife and kids watch it, my PC is my source of information, work, entertainment....

You said not instantly , but you still stay by the word "everybody'?
Common , that's an utopian never to be achieved dream.

You're quoting Spaceman_Spiff, not me. I said "just about everyone." And this has already happened before: Just about everyone in the US is wealthy by 1950 standards, and especially by pre-industrial, and most especially by feudal standards. One to two decades is a long time these days.

And they are also many times more productive. Unfortunately, a lot of that productivity is leached off by the government in various schemes including taxation and inflation. It's hard to do much about taxation but now there's a way to fight back against inflation.

Thanks for all the advice. I hold my coins and went to bed again and now the world looks better Smiley

Was unaible to post because of this Fuc!_§" "your last post from your ip was less than 360 seconds ago, please try again later". That sucks. Comes each time. No discussion possible.

Are you accessing through a vpn or tor?

No nothing. Normal internet provider and normal ip. Maybe I´m new here and thats the reason.

Do you have a static ip? Most ISPs make you share your IP with your neighbours/other people. (NAT)

Bitcoin is more than just frictionless payments and finance. It's a complete restructuring of the world and the elimination of many inefficiencies that held people back. The removal of those inefficiencies isn't just going to make sending money cheaper and some online goods available at a discount. It will enable whole new industries like the Internet has, but it goes far beyond even that. It fundamentally, radically decentralizes power. It blows away most of the borders that kept people from participating in the international division of labor. It thwarts all kind of oppression, especially economic oppression.

It is "rat poison," as Charlie Munger inadvertently said, or as Chamath Palihapitiya called it, "schmuck insurance." Power to the people. Truly free markets, everywhere. Think China during Mao's reign versus now. That's the kind of change that's coming. Even for people who never invest in this bull market.

Enjoying your bullishness, which is quite clearly rooted in a deep understanding of the broad picture of what is happening.

And thanks for sharing so much quality material. That kind of quality is deserving of its own thread - it will just be buried by memes, random predictions and little flame wars here. Actually now that I think about it I would enjoy another kind of observer thread - not a wall observer thread focused on trading and daily price movements, but a more laid back, philosophical observer of the whole Bitcoin economy focused on longer time frames and broad implications.

Also, praised be the current bearishness of rpietila, I enjoy that perspective as well.

I should really post my wisdom concerning position management, because so many are clueless about it.

Yes indeed, please do this! I am but a simple buy & hold bull and I don't do trading, but I feel like many here would benefit from your experience and clarity of understanding & expression.

We had a small farm and none of us kids has a university degree.
