I would agree with u if the market wasn't so skewed from the withdrawal hiatus going on. People want to cash out, hence they are buying bitcoins in order to sell them at a loss. Only reason price is going up.

that doesn't explain other exchanges following.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

After all in such countries "everything not allowed is forbidden" -- and as a result laws are generally ignored.

I agree with you that this bull trap is probably sponsored by MtGox's incompetence. However, I see a slim chance that MtGox will fix everything and send everybody their money before the move I'm looking for occurs. The actual problem here is that people still believe MtGox's price is real, and not just a devaluation of the mtgoxUSD. So when mtgoxUSD gets further devalued, people think it's a rally and buy on Bitstamp. That's just the environment we have to deal with.

And indeed it's true that only few Bitcoins that have left the visible order book on MtGox have hit Bitstamp so far.

I have an idea. Why don't you just stfu and stop acting like you know it all. Because maybe, just maybe you may have noticed you don't know shit and are currently the biggest joker of this massive thread.

the following Bitcoin activities are illegal in Thailand:

    Buying Bitcoins
    Selling Bitcoins
Buying any goods or services in exchange for Bitcoins
Selling any goods or services for Bitcoins
Sending Bitcoins to anyone located outside of Thailand
Receiving Bitcoins from anyone located outside of Thailand

Woah, is there an official statement somewhere by their government on this somewhere? If this is true, its a big deal as I believe its a first for a country to outright outlaw bitcoins and potentially sets a precedent.

bitcoin illegal in thailand now :/

i understand that the thais' effect on global prices is quite minimal, but like, this does have psychological effects

Still early days, too early to say whether it is really illegal or not -- after all in such countries "everything not allowed is forbidden" -- and as a result laws are generally ignored.

Don't think there will be much effect.

Price is the good news.

then why should the other exchanges go up at all?

edit:
That's just sheep mentality, people still see Gox as the leader, so the moment the price changes on gox, everybody rushes to adjust their asks.

115 was the high from the bounce off 88. 110 is good too, it's marked by enormous volume. Largest volume on a 4h candle since the beginning of May.

In my opinion -IF- it's going to (eventually) break 110$ then i highly doubt 115$ will mean anything.
I think it would go straight to 120$ and over, quickly.

What's your problem with simple psychology?
