Trying something a little bit different this time around. Decided I'm not out of the game just yet, after making some under-the-hook tweaks to LND, and rethinking my strategy, of how I can reasonably contribute to the Lightning Network, with a minimum amount of stress (read: way fewer channels, higher default fees, maximum girth)
More much much later. This is going to be a longer-term experiment.
Welcome Back!... Fastest 18 months ever!...
On another note, I really think that is the right strategy for the size of your Bitcoin holdings.
You should be in the top 100 LN nodes with approx. 8-10BTC Total Liquidity.
Channels of 20M-50M SATs
30 - 40 Good Quality Peers.
and allow node to open to you with a min of 5M SATs
Adjust your fees every 2 weeks to maximise your fee strategy
STOP worrying about drained channels!! The tide will shift and those funds will find their way back. Unless it is with LOOP!
With RTL GUI, you are able to export your channels to a CSV, I am in the process of building a portal that can analyse that CSV file and compare it with last week channel stats...
Will be able to see which channels are most active for inbound and outbound, the amount that has moved and which channels are stagnant etc etc...
This should hopefully help with the adjustment of fees and decisions to close and possibly open new channels elsewhere...
