Bitcoin is like a car which is very uncomfortable yet enjoyable to drive. But you need some skills not to drive into a ditch...  Grin

Also this. I mean they can easily touch the databases.

I’m not a system architect but expect it really depends on the setup.  If they are using Bring Your Own Key (which they should be...) then it’s all encrypted and AWS doesn’t have the key.

Over 70% of successful attacks are coming from "inside". So by probability, they hired the wrong guy, regardless of the details.

Another nice post from a Trump supporter

Means: By degenerate, poor working class, backcountry nazi tards, we're about to be thrown back some good 70 years again.
Only this time it's a different continent. Every culture seems to have to learn this awkward lesson, only to conclude that "this must never happen again in human history. ever."

EDIT: Forget that poor working class stuff, but those will be used to fulfill these megalomaniac goals.

Meh.  Been seeing similar shit from the left for the last year and more.  Not news.  Its only newsworthy if it benefits the establishment.

Peoples...... Exactly.....

Always the same

strangely, it actually makes some sense...a perceived danger avoidance vs getting more-which one is more important, psychologically?

Depends on the motivation: Fear vs greed?

EDIT: I doubt "motivation" is the right term, but i hope you get what i meant.

some strong-willed individuals could be motivated by greed more, but for the majority, fear is a much stronger, animalistic emotion.
It harks back to our roots when we were hiding in the caves many thousands of years ago.

I swear I can clearly see "mindrust" written between the lines...  Grin

Haha it's good old greed vs fear indicator. Bitcoin is like a car which is very uncomfortable yet enjoyable to drive. But you need some skills not to drive into a ditch...  Grin

There's even a weak connection, imo:
While fear is an instinct, greed is based on instincts (mostly preservation).
"Strong will", under scope of this view, is coming with the lack or absence of fear - or its social descendants, like uncertainty.

the last rise from $33k to $42k was a bit too fast so the correction was expect-able as Biodom has warned beforehand. but if you are on your trip you never will hear to warnings like that.  Grin

Armed Protests being planned in all 50 State Capitols from 16 - 20 January for government buildings and courthouses.

Armed Uprising in Washington DC planned if Trump removed under 25th amendment.

This unrest will devalue the US dollar and support the Bitcoin price.  Based on this news I am now inclined to think we are at or close to, the bottom of this dip.

Rally from here.

Parler's security was beyond terrible. They didn't even strip the medadata from uploaded images. Metadata such as:

This. Why would you spend millions and possibly years to try to decrypt the files if you can just use human factor and get away with a few grand admin's bonus?  Grin

Exactly.
Also, some admins hold personal unencrypted backups of encrypted data.
Social engineering is, not by accident, still the most popular "key" to the most widespread backdoor: the user.

Part of the problem here is that Parler is funded by Robert Mercer.   Robert Mercer was a founder of Cambridge Analytica and funder of Breitbart.

I think this one individual has done more to divide America than anyone else (including Trump).  And it has been highly profitable for him.

There has been no attempt to hold Robert Mercer accountable for his actions. This needs to change. The FBI should dig into his electronic correspondence to see if he had a role in the Capitol Riots.

Quote
Robert Leroy Mercer (born July 11, 1946)[2] is an American hedge fund manager, former principal investor in the now-defunct Cambridge Analytica,[3] computer scientist who was an early artificial intelligence researcher and developer, and former co-CEO of the hedge fund company Renaissance Technologies.[2][4][5]

Edit: he also supported the Brexit campaign.  This guy is dark.

Quote
Mercer played a key role in the campaign for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union by donating data analytics services to Nigel Farage.[6]

To no one’s surprise, he is a racist.

Quote
Mercer has said that the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the landmark federal statute arising from the civil rights movement of the 1960s, was a major mistake. In 2017, David Magerman, a former Renaissance employee, alleged in a lawsuit that Mercer had said that African Americans were economically better off before the civil rights movement, that white racists no longer existed in the United States, and that the only racists remaining were black racists.

I think we can solve a lot of these problems and heal America through campaign finance reform. If we stop the firehose of money flowing from billionaires to politicians, we can eliminate much of the corruption.

The Democrats control all three arms of government for two years and they have the means to overturn much of the US campaign finance laws.  This will fix at least some of the sickness at the source.  Unfortunately I have my doubts that they can do it with such a narrow majority, they only need one dissenter.

EDIT2: All my buys from the last 24 hours just broke even minutes ago. Confidence.

I didn't sell, I didn't buy. Tempted to sell some tiny amount I have in Kraken (around 1 coin) at the beginning of the dip, but I know I'm a lousy trader, so I just HeDL. I don't mind, it's picking up now, and even if it dips again, it's just a matter of time. So all is fine.

Hey man how's it going? Do you feel better? What about your covid test? Sorry if I missed your post regarding this..  Cool

Thanks for asking man, yeah, feeling better than ever. All going fine, all symptoms cleared away, oximeter showed 100% once (most of the time it's between 97% and 98%, which are the values it used to show for years). So it's back to normality I guess. Will do a test soon, probably next week, to be sure I'm negative.

COVID-19 is a serious thing, but if you're strong, healthy and fit, you have a good chance of killing it on your own.
