Offtopic (again) but i wrote about good news yesterday, so:
Some of my health issues seem to resolve a bit, in particular chronic pain and fatigue.
While i wasn't attending the pain part very much, because of manliness & shit, and because i got quite used to it over the years. It helped a lot to build muscle, which was only possible without pain and muscle weakness in the warmer seasons. Whenever it got cold outside, it became hard to exercise, because me and my muscles got exhausted before significant training effects kicked in, and the pains lasted for days after.
Same with fatigue and shortness of breath, awkward chronic pains, for example in my fingers and joints of my arms while just holding things like a pack of milk for more than a minute. Not to forget shooting and burning pain, like being stung with fine, glowing needles in fingers and toes.
So i came across an article about Fibromyalgia, some sort of rheumatic illness, mainly regarding the fine nerve endings and muscle/tendon tissues.
The article mentioned Thiamine (aka. Vitamin B1), and that the intake of relatively high doses as 250-500mg resolve pain and fatigue considerably in Fibro patients. Also, many diffuse symptoms were listed, and especially that it's been called a "women's disease" for a long time, because it was diagnosed in women with the use of "tender points", which are overly sensitive to pressure and reacting with heavy, momentarily pain sensations. Over 90% of diagnosed sufferers were women. New discoveries pointed out, that also men are suffering from it, but they typically show absence of said "tender points", and also showed a different spectrum of symptoms, like
memory problems.
I instantly went
I was taking B-Vitamins for years, because they helped to combat daily challenges through giving me more energy and power. Speaking of a daily dose of 55mg (50 Thiamine, plus 5 from a multi-vitaminB supplement). I just left out the daily 50mg away for a week and a half until i couldn't take it no more, because fatigue, muscle pain and inability to cope with any type of stress became unbearable. I couldn't sit straight because of back pain along the whole spine, my elbows, ankles and knees were hurting when i stopped to move for some time, worst in the morning, when i was doing extremely hard to get up. Tired and short breathed all day long, short term memory problems got worse too, my libido vanished.
Taking an extra 250mg of Thiamine (five times the usual dose) resolved all this within a matter of three days.
After a week i'm on 200mg daily, about to try higher doses soon, after checking out any possible side effects. So far there aren't any.
I am able to work out like in summer, i'm even feeling half as heavy when doing push-ups, squats and reverse rows than 20 days ago, before i started to stop Thiamine intake.
The missus is glad too, because i am nicer to the kids again and performance returned in the penile area as well
So, looks like a good evidence for a valid ICD diagnosis after 9 years of suffering and maybe some more suited future treatment to help me fight this daily nightmare.
Marijuana helped to recover strained muscles and get deep sleep, it also reduced some shooting nerve-pains.
So far, about the toxicity of drugs, some are remedy - especially the (scientifically proven) neuro-regenerating ones, in particular THC. (this especially goes out to nullius).
