Yeah, but mine was a typo 'cause of my cheap useless keyboard. Hairy just can't spell, and he is a native speaker.

sure.

the fact that u need 3 posts to excuse your stupidity and blaming it on cats and keyboards tells a lot about your maturity. a spelling/grammar nazi should really be a tiny bit more careful in his own posts. I saw your mistake yesterday and so did everyone. did I or harry or anyone else take the effort and point it out to you? take it like a man, sissy. you are making it worse.

All good things to those who wait
A day without a new AYH is so dull... I am finally able to concentrate and do some work.  Cheesy

Yeah, joke aside, I think we can break the ATH in the next 2 weeks. I just don't see any meaningfull resistance until then. And if that happens, the FOMO will kick in. Then the first major resistance I expect will be between $45K and $55K.

Of course this is just a SOMA prediction, not a trading advice. Anything can happen. But so far my gut feeling was right. In June 2019 when the price steeply approached 14K, I felt a big crash is coming. Then my gut feeling spoke to me: yes, but... BETTER times will come for Bitcoin. Shortlly after that my gut feeling spoke again: after that EVEN BETTER times will come. And finally, to my surprise it spoke again: and after that the BEST times for Bitcoin will come. I felt goose pumps and I know this is about some not so distant future, 5-8 years max (ok, I may be wrong, it may take longer, idk for sure).

The interesting part in this "prophecy" is that the word "times" was used instead of the word "price". What we see now is not that the price is much higher (only 30%ish higher), but rather better times indeed. It is mass adoption: institutions rushing in, paypal, etc.  Now, I trust more this feeling, after the first propecy is so spectacularly fulfilled. So I (hope I will be able to) hodl until it is fulfilled entirely, with some minor sales here and there. The best times for me will be when Bitcoin is recognized as the world reserve currency, for starters  Grin

Edit. Speaking of institutions, Grayscale has increased for the last 5 months their Bitcoin holdings from 360K to 506K.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
Maybe it's all those times my cats have pushed of my desk.

Se, now it missed "it".

And now "e"

See what I have to work with here.

couple of my keyboards have removable caps (gaming keyboards with mechanical switches) and one of my cats discovered how easy it is to pull caps off with her claws. she was very thorough, only left a few on, probably got bored.

now, loose keycaps skitter across hardwood floors extremely well and also fit down the air return vents in the floor. i just wound up buying a full replacement set.

i still find keycaps even now..

You may have a problem with system interrupting or something.

What does task manager say is happening when it misses typing?

It's happening again - I've started getting messages from friends-of-friends asking whether I think they should invest in xxx shitcoin, because apparently it's the new bitcoin.

So 2017.

The Fibonacci projection from March low to July break-out looks to be pointing to a pull-back to 1.618 at $14K or otherwise continuation to the 2.618 at $20K. Also to note the current logarithmic growth band we are facing resistance ("third lowest") was also the same resistance as late 2018, support & resistance in early 2019, as well as 2020 to some degree.

I'm liking the good of what happened in May 2020, with a Weekly candle of 22% that broke through it  Cool
Also happy to buy the dip in the $12-14K if price goes the other way. Lower log band currently sitting at $12.1K.

Shorter-term...

I think there's still room to move down to $15.5K strong volume support, that will likely be very well defended. I also don't think the correction needs to go any deeper after very recently making new 3-year highs at $16.5K. The current level is old resistance that will likely become new support before moving higher again. The trend is your friend.

NB I don't condone the use of organs without the expressed consent of their previous owners.

edit: Why the hell does a lambo cost more than a set of lungs installed?

yeah and the resale value of the lungs probably doesnt deprecate either. sounds like the better deal to me.

I really need a new keyboard, it misses like every seventh or so keystroke for some reason.

Problem with masks is the air that goes around them, especially at the bridge of the nose.  Masks claim to filter out 95 percent (or whatever) but really only filter what goes through the material.  I worked as a carpenter for many years, and I often wore the N95 masks in very dusty environments.  Somehow the masks never seemed to get as dirty as you would expect.
I'm sure the big rubber respirators that look like gas masks work better.

To anyone who is not a complete moron I simply say wear a respirator with P100 filters. MSA makes a nice model that does the job even if a POS coughs on you.

properly fitted p100s are easier to breath through than n95s anyway, and are actually pretty comfortable. i used p100s for years in my line of work so maybe im just used to them.

and nothing gives more peace of mind knowing than aint nothing getting through them, basically.

one thing i did do is buy a couple brands with different fittings so i would have a better supply of cartridges in case one brand had a shortage. although if left sealed the carts have a pretty good shelf life.

People with extreme left wing views are more intolerant aggressive and dumber than others, a new study finds.
University of Melbourne was involved, have you answered any questionnaires from them lately, Hairy?

I've always thought, that if I retired, I'd probably need to maintain at least double my salary coming in just to pay for all the things I'd need to do to stop me getting bored out of my mind.
That being the case, I'm not going to retire anytime soon, even if MoonTM.

my retirement goal required three times what i figured was the "normal" amount i needed. took longer but i do like huge safety margins.

and boredom? i have never been bored in my entire life. i have far too many interests and hobbies. i love learning and trying new things (and have the scars and broken bones to attest to that).

ive never understand how someone can get bored.

Yes I am sorry to report that I met with my financial advisor today and I would have to take out of Bitcoin 3 times my current target in order to retire in 2021.  Looks like I’m gonna be here until 2025 guys !

Are you referring to something in the ballpark of the current BTC price $15,500 to $16,400 -ish  or some other BTC reference price.. like a potential correction or a BTC price rise?

So for example, if you were referring to current BTC prices, then wouldn't a 3x price increase assist you in accelerating your goals.... that would be in the $45k to $50k price arena?

No sadly that’s based off my projected trading profits in 2021.  They will be short what I need by a factor of 3.

It turns out that retiring is much more expensive than anyone would have imagined.

you want to retire solely on trading profits? when I try to decide if I could retire I just naively count my net worth and figure out if this could last for some decades. and the family. and the kids. and the kids of relatives. which feels I would never get there. and also: since selling 100% of stash is out of the question, (never more than 50% is the plan), the whole game needs to be played with half the sum to begin with.
then again, making a plan that requires to lose 50% of the best money ever created, is kind of stupid. it would be much better to retire on a plan like getting dividends from stocks or interest (like it used to be) from saved capital.

I hope some secure and reliable financial infrastructure will develop soon enough around bitcoin, that is letting bitcoiners keep their coins, earning interest in lending them out. or, even better, use part of btc stash as collateral to get a loan, and pay back the loan with bitcoin price rising over the long run.  I heard that is what rich people do/did with big/valuable real estate: they never sell it, all they do is using it as collateral for cheap loans, and then use the price appreciation of the real estate to pay back the loan. the family stays rich forever.

owning no coins in post halving period (where price usually explodes) is a tough one. you seem to have the commitment and the knowledge, so I am sure that you will make it back. good luck, mate.
