So, I got a letter in my mailbox, handwritten, no stamp, obviously delivered by hand, from someone called Mona.
I open it and it starts "My name is Mona, I'm one of Jehovas witnesses in Malmö.
Considering the current situation I choose to write to you instead of visiting you in person..."

Bloody hel, even Jehovas is doing social distancing.

Same here at my parents, came handwritten but unlike at you it came by postal mail.
Just glanced over it, but these sentences sound familiar.

Must be a worldwide Jehova-OP, these guys know how to grow their herd of (paying) sheep.

They started that two months ago as a safety measure in New York ... and spread around the world.
No sense getting ppl sick... and its never been about "paying sheep" it's supported by voluntary donations. They feel an obligation to fellow mankind and the preaching of the coming good news of Gods kingdom on earth and a bright hope for the future. Matt 24:14 rev 21:3,4

I just got home after travelling for 27 hours.

I've been in Asia since before this pandemic outbreak. Initially I hadn't planned too be away for more than a couple of months, so I never brought my trezor with me. I had enough on my exchange and my phone wallet to cover my expanses for said couple of months. But then all this happen with lock-down and cancelled flights as a result, making my stay longer than intended.

Although my expenses was reduced because everything was closed down, including the alcohol-ban (amazing how much you can save by not drinking), last week I had to spend my last remaining fiat to make sure I could get home.

Moral of the story (or at least a reminder to self) - don't travel without at least some of your coins, preferably on a hardware wallet. Plan for the worst, you never know what could happen.

As a side note. This event also made my net-worth, even though it was unintentional, 100% in bitcoin.

Now I'm going into a two week long quarantine. Not that I worry too much about myself, but you never know who I might have gotten in contact to on this trip, especially in Stockholm and on the train. I don't want to spread anything onto my boomer parents.

All is good though. The grocery store does home delivery, the liquor store too. A friend promised to bring me some weed. And best of all, The Last of Us 2 is released in a couple of days. This is fine.

Tumbleweed.

I was going to keep this between me and the client who commissioned it but it looks like you're cracking up so you need something to give you some strength.

My client requested a portrait of his dream Bitcoin developer and here it is.

I'm probably going to jail for breaking a NDA but if it gets you through the night it was worth it.

Yes, those stats would be interesting to see. I bet JJG would crush all competition.

Admittedly, I skip reading some of his most lengthy posts, as I'm just skimming through the new posts quickly due to lack of time.

Anyway, my (hopefully in a near future) hat off to you JJG. You are a great contributor to the forum in general and the WO-thread in particular.

And you looked like such a normal person with good judgment, you had promise.

Even though you (and me as well) doesn't always agree with him on a personal level and on non-bitcoin related issues doesn't take away his contribution to this thread. He is a bitcoin maximalist and often takes time to answer and help newcomers. His dedication deserves some credits, imho.

This guy I read from time to time, he tends to have a favorable approach to bitcoin and appears to be one of the few that believes it has intrinsic value. His viewpoint of bitcoin being like owning shares in a company will probably appeal to other traditional investors more than here but is interesting nonetheless.

These are unique enterprises built upon extremely capable blockchains, coupled with their own digital coins, and deep infrastructure projects. Right now, the industry appears to be notably underappreciated, and its future potential may be drastically underestimated by many.

Moreover, consider the trillions of dollars floating around looking for a place to park to get positive yield in this financial environment. Due to inflation resistance and future potential, I believe a prime place for future investment will likely be the digital asset segment. There is a lot of uncertainty concerning equities going forward, gold/GSMs are doing great, but in the intermediate term, there are not that many bright spots in the market. Furthermore, the Wuhan virus will likely continue to weigh on international confidence and consumption for many months. While it may take some time for inflation to filter through to the real economy, once it does, prices for various assets, including Bitcoin, should go substantially higher.
