[...]If they make the mayonnaise with some other kind of oil, then it might be acceptable... perhaps avocado, coconut, butter, ghee or tallow..   I am not sure if olive oil is good since there are many fake ones, but my understanding is that olive oil is not bad as long as it is real olive oil and cold pressed... [...]...rather than olive oil which can be a bit ambiguous if it is good or bad. .and people use olive oil for cooking, yet it has such a low smoke point, so sometimes the benefits will be lost if it is burnt, which I think that oil can become anti-nutritious if it reaches (or exceeds) its smoke point or it is overly used (overly recycled).
I consider olive oil to be of very high nutritional value, as compared to other vegetable oils. I'm talking about the real, extra virgin, cold pressed variety. I'm fortunate enough to have distant relatives who produce small quantities of such high quality olive oil, not for profit, but for their own consumption, so I get a regular supply from them. I use it exclusively for everything in cooking, and never recycle it when used for frying (only use it once, and then throw it away). Recycling can be a problem in restaurants, where you cannot control it. What you mention about the smoke point is also important. I believe you should be able to find good quality olive oil in most places these days, but it can be quite expensive (I don't consider this a problem for a coiner though, hahaha).

First of all, if you know your source for your Olive oil, then that is truly going to put you in a better place than a lot of folks, and I am pretty sure that there are a lot of applications for olive oil that involve no cooking and/or heating up of the oil.  I had read some fat/oil related books and articles, and in 2012-ish when I was reading some of the comparative analysis of oils/fats (I specifically recall some portions of the Know Your Fats book), I was getting lost in that kind of discussion, even though I understand that there are differing nutrient profiles in regards to fat.

I just did a quickie google look-up of olive oil smoke point versus butter, and I see it is not as bad as I had recalled, so butter has around a 300° Farenheit smoking point, Olive oil is 350-410 and Ghee butter is 450°-ish.  For some reason I had thought that olive oil and butter had similar smoke points, so that little bit of information is good to know, and the topic also triggered me into googling other oil smoke points and also frequently seeing various vegetable oils popping up.. which folks get so distracted into using those.

I am still a bit worried about the source of olive oil if I were to buy it, if I am just getting it in the store, so perhaps there might be some brands that are more trustworthy than others in terms of the sourcing of the oil and that they are not lying to us.. since it can be tough to test and verify some kinds of things just by appearance so we have to trust that the manufacturers aren't lying.

Among all the oil, olive oil is more preferable to me but the problem is that there are a lot of fake product. I could remember the experience I had about olive oil. I went to glory reign in 2023, a Christian dominational program organized by my church and in that program we were compelled to bring a bottle of olive oil to be blessed by our pastor so I went to a nearby shop and bought a bottle of olive oil but to my greatest surprise when I got home I found out that the olive oil was fuming and was more like a water than oil.
I think one of the major problem why have so many olive oil is because only few countries in the world produce olive plant which is the source of olive oil and because of this the demand of olive oil is very high compare to the production and because of this some gullible people use that medium to be producing fake product of olive oil.

Don't worry if you can't solve it. I thought it was too easy, but it turned out to be either too difficult, or nobody really cares to solve it. Just ignore it and let it die... Do watch the movie though (if you haven't already).

Good to see Musk going after the cunt government of the UK and especially the heads of the snake.

I hope he is successful taking down the utter criminal twats.

So he's using the bully pulpit for something other than conspiracy theories, stock and shitcoin manipulation now?

Name a conspiracy theory that Musk is pushing.  I'll wait.

As far as I can tell, Elon Musk is solely responsible for uncovering the lies the governments around the world have been pushing on us for years now.  If he didn't buy Twitter then liberals would still be spreading these lies as facts, doctors telling the truth and politicians fighting against the lies would still be censored, we probably wouldn't even know how bad the theft issues in California were, or that the Covid vaccine did more harm than good...  Without Musk, we'd be stuck in bizarro world where good men go to prison and criminals roam free.  But I guess that's just another conspiracy...  Right?

Just look at how the news framed that report of the bomb in the Cybertruck yesterday.  At first it was an exploding battery and Teslas were dangerous.  Then the police came out and said the Cybertruck saved lives and it was a terrorist attack...  Suddenly the story went silent...  Ask yourself if you've seen the press conference of the police praising the Cybertruck for saving lives, or pictures of the Cybertruck on fire with a misleading headline...

We need a better world for these billionaire Simps, "Bootlickers" and "Brown Noses" just doesn't really cut it anymore.

Salted grass fed butter, other dairy stuff and eggs keep you alive and induces/maintains ketosis.
There's just the little problem that muscle needs carbs to be build, and there you are challenged to find the most tolerable form of carbohydrates for yourself.
It hasn't to be much, but a few calories before you get to physical work - preferably in the form of green vegetables (including potatoes). Ditch fruits, they are almost poison for a perfectly working metabolism. You could mix in coffee, which acts as an insuline moderator. It does produce an initial blood sugar spike in healty people when consumed with carbs, however. If you didn't already do so, there's a bit to reseearch about coffee and its effects on insuline in various combinations, but it may be of some value for you.

I agree generally with what you say here, but the bolded part I'm going to have to vehemently disagree with.

That is a myth continually perpetuated by the media.

As long as you stick with fruits that are low on the glycemic index, and stay away from consuming both high glycemic fruits and dried fruits on a regular basis, you are good to go.

I get probably 80-85% of my daily carb intake from low glycemic fruits (in the form of protein shakes twice daily, berries mostly mix with full fat milk), and the other 15-20% from vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, carrots, peppers, etc). Some days it's more like 95% fruit as carbs. I'm probably right around 50-60 grams carbs on average daily. I don't eat any other forms of carbs during the year, except for maybe a once or twice a year slice of pizza or sushi as a special event/treat. I don't drink any alcohol, not any more, period.

At 55 years old, I'm shredded with extremely low body fat. In fact my metabolism has never been higher or better (well, since early college days anyway).

So fruits as poison? Kill metabolism? Complete media BS.

Thanks for pointing me at this. First, the bolded sentence is biased, because i'm fructose intolerant, second it was meant for the scope of diabetic individuals.
It's indeed the glycemic index that makes the difference.
What i was meaning: Mainly fruit you get at the supermarkets, high sugar, low tannines -type of variants. "Designer apples", if you want to call them this way...

Personally, i'd ditch the protein shake powder (if you're using these readymade ones) for shakes with dried egg white.
I used to use Soy isolate, but those need to be highly chemically processed to get rid of the fats contained in Soy (and other fatty protein sources).

I decided against posting a body pic of mine, because of tattoos (OpSec), but i'm slightly younger and similar shaped. So both of us are doing something right when it comes to fitness and aging  Grin Cool

Gotcha, understood. We agree on the high glycemic fruits being not great. I never eat those throughout the year (e.g. things like melon, papaya, mango, pineapple, grapes. Bananas only an occasional small piece in my protein shake, never a whole one).

I eat plenty of eggs, hard-boiled mostly, but sometimes omelettes or scrambled. Plenty of dairy, organic whole milk, cheese, plain greek yogurt, and organic kefir.

I avoid any store ready-made or off-the-shelf protein shakes, because they are all low quality protein with low bio-availability and loaded with high fructose corn syrup or brown syrup, and other garbage.

Only use high-quality protein powder for my shakes, either 100% whey or a casein/whey blend with no crap added. My current favorite go-to for Whey protein powder is Pure Choice Farms. It's awesome. A bit expensive, but their powder only has literally like 3 ingredients and that's it. You get what you pay for.

Understood about the body pic. I really loathe posting any selfies at all, for OpSec reasons and because I think it can come off as egotistical, boasting or something. I never want to be "that guy". But when it comes to discussions about health/nutrition and fitness on the internet, I want to back my personal knowledge and experience with some actual evidence, because so many professed "health and fitness experts" on the internet don't. It's all 'Trust me bro' posting.

Also if it isn't obvious from my pic, I'm all natty and would never do 'roids or any other PEDs.  Wink My focus is on health and longevity only.

Anyway, I've blathered on far too long on this off-topic. Tongue   Back to the BTC wall observing!

A great start I must say. I still think there would be a final dip before Trump inauguration.
And it would remove that hidden sword of gap to fill at the bottom.
