That's what it feels like to me. Although traders always say buy the dip it's not easy to do when the price is going down. It's easiest to buy at the worst time possible when the market is at peak euphoria.

The 10% of successful traders are probably buying the bullish pennant, and the other 90% are probably selling the dip.

At least it looks like we are still going sideways inside the triangle. Still one month to the big Bitcoin event I don't think this sideways is a bad sign but a logical one.

It may still be a symmetrical triangle moreless, with chance of breaking on either side. if broken down, it may complete head and shoulders reversal pattern as well.
so its too early to tell, it needs some more time to complete

He seems to have 'painted' a very conservative prediction on things. Btw... I see a lot of "bread & salt" circus this year for the people! And it will be a f'ing bid war on things like food that each country will struggle with. Their only option will be to devalue by printing more! They will just have to throw with more cash! I think it might stay between $2500 and $2600 this week because of the uncertainty. When it reached $3000 everyone thought it couldn't go higher and dumped. However when it went close to $2000 everyone thought it couldn't go lower and bought back. It will probably go sideways for a week while everyone waits to see which way it's going to go.

Later this year I think it will go over $10000 and today's price will seem cheap.

True. SegWit activation could be imminent, then we'll see the price moon.

I'm interested in seeing the interplay between BTC and ETH if (when) segwit activates. I would hope that enough people have been burned by ETH now, that it will decouple, and FOMO on BTC will not carry over to ETH for a while.

This is more than a fork. I was honestly getting confused at some wall observers. What happened to the original thread?

It was shut down because it was a strain on the moderators to remove all the off-topic posts, since the OP was no longer active for a long time.

Theymos created this poll as to what should happen to it now.

For now, it looks like it's just going to be a battle between at least one moderated thread and at least one unmoderated thread, in an attempt to find out the community support more accurately. Personally, I'd prefer this thread but maybe it should be given some kind of special rules allowing certain off-topic posts.

Agreed. I believe we need a bare minimum of moderation. Adam was pretty much the perfect mod.
After having two posts deleted within the first 4 pages (one relevant to speculation, one not so much), I felt compelled to start a new thread.

I agree and well done, except the forum will moderate it if no one else does and I think your thread is unmoderated. Some moderation is necessary, it just needs to be someone like Adam, or you, I don't mind as long as it's the spirit of the Original WO thread.
