I hardly see any useful posts there. Full of spams and trolls. There was a user(bot?) who posts graphs and BTC/USD value. Other than them, only a handful of people "genuinely" discuss there.
Edit: @yefi: How would you do that? Other than opening a new self-moderated thread, I can't think of any other methods. You can assign staffs explicitly for that thread, but chances for happening that is next to zero. If you really think that thread is useful, tell someone with "a lot of time" to start a self-moderated thread. Ask a moderator before starting to avoid further issues.

Because the op of that thread is no longer active and doesn't moderate off topic postings and as such it's now mostly full of idiots discussing alt coins day after day. Sick of seeing dozens of reports from that thread every day. Plenty of other pointless threads in Speculation to talk shit in. If you want to talk about alt coins then do that in the alt coin section.
There would have been more than enough volunteers to help you properly moderate that thread if you had inquired, but I get the impression from my own dealings that you guys aren't much bothered in fostering good relations with your members.
