I have not has a personal encounter of hacked wallet, despite still keeping some of assets in hot wallets. Although, the best way to keep safe from wallet hack is through the use hardware wallet, but for those who do not have it yet, I would recommend imtoken, but ensure you do not save your security details on your device and do not share your security details with any other person.

All connected to Internet computer systems may be subject to hacker attacks. It is best to proceed from this consideration. Therefore, if you have large amounts of money, then it is best to store them in wallets on computers that do not have a direct connection to the Internet.

I was deceived several times, the first time because of the HOLA application, and probably the second time too! Now I use a cold wallet and I hope that this is a reliable way to store.

Dr ends of which kind of wallets you are talking about. If it's a hardware wallet then it's very hard to crack or hack one. But there is lots of web wallet which can be hacked. Most of the time people hacked by their own mistakes. Yes, this is the main reason for hacker to take control. The most used trick by hacker is pishing. They send a link of a copy website. When you put your information they have the key then they just used it. That's it. And after all this internet people do the same mistake. So maybe wallets can be hacked but most of the time it's people themself.

Of course, this is possible if you are careless with your private key and leave it in the public domain, then of course your funds will be stolen. I will tell you one thing you should always keep your private key safe.

It depends on which wallet are you referring to. Online wallets can be easily robbed by hackers if you are bot careful with your private keys.

Cold wallets are much more secure as their private keys are built in and  they never leave the device.
Each wallet has a different level of risk, desktop wallet, online wallet, cold wallet, hardware wallet, etc. have their own security, and I prefer hardware wallet because it is much safer, if you force to use an online wallet because it is more flexible, the important thing is you use 2fa, it will more safe

the occurrence of hacking in the wallet is very possible. This is because we cannot maintain security properly, other than that there is usually a cloud wallet that does experience the same thing. security loopholes that are not well utilized by hackers to steal existing Walllet data. so actually the best way is to buy hardware wallets such as ledger, I'm sure the best security we can have as long as we can maintain the wallet.

Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.

If anybody can save his private key and password correctly and also if he does not enter into any fishing site he can save his wallet. On the other hand we should not save our passwords into email site that may be anytime hack. So be careful about this. You are safe.

If wallet hacks is not possible, then crypto exchanges hack wouldn't have been possible. Wallet hack is 100% possible if you didn't keep your keys well or put keys where they are not meant to be and compromising them, then you are exposed to danger.
It's not the case all the time, that kind of hack is due to the negligence of the users.
Some hacks are done to bypass the security system of the exchange sites and they will take big money from the exchange.

If you enable 2FA, then the chances are that no one will be able to steal coins from your wallets. But I have heard a few incidents in which 2FA was breached with simultaneous hacks in to the online wallet and the associated gmail account / phone number.
this became so terrible, i became even more careful when using my wallet.
i also have to always check my wallet and make sure everything is safe. i hope bad things don't happen to me.

Just take the basic precautions, such as enabling 2FA and ignoring spam email and you would be fine. Don't be afraid about the hackers. I have been collecting crypto for more than 5 years and till now none of my wallets have got hacked. And trust me, I am not a tech geek and my computer knowledge is close to basic.

I have noticed that this wallet hacking thing is very common among bounty hunters because most often i see hunters requesting bm to change their campaign wallet because wallet has been compromised, i think people have applied caution when using their email and anything related to where information is been stored a to avoid possible hack, that would be a horrible experience.

A wallet can be cracked by absolutely any person, no one is immune from this. In addition, you often need to change your operating wallet if you tied it to any decentralized exchange. I do not tie the main wallet to the exchanges, so I don’t have to change it often.
I prefer to use many wallets to store the assets that I have. it makes me more comfortable in saving assets because I will not lose all my assets if the worst is possible. everyone can experience this crime, but we must remain vigilant about it.
But it looks like that most of crypto wallet provides have already tried to increase its security and try to give a special awareness by creating such a tutorial about how to avoid the scammer and the possibility to be hacked.

I've already experienced it when my first time that i get airdrop last year and its price was almost $200, and it hacked in myetherwallet and now i still dont know how it happened,so now i buy secured wallet that i can put my tokens/coins this ledger nano.
it looks like someone knows the private key from your wallet, maybe you forgot when you followed airdrop you entered the private key instead of entering the correct eth address, or it could also be your computer exposed to a virus or there is a keylogger, make sure your computer must also be safe, next time you have to be more careful  Wink

This hacking incident happened to me before. It is useful to constantly update your computer's antivirus. I had a trojan-like thing on my computer and I lost a lot on that day. Should be constantly up-to-date and accounts must be constantly changed.
I too have lost the asset that is in my personal wallet. whether the cause is what, but after that I kept the assets I have in some wallet to anticipate events.

If you take viruses on your pc, yes, but if you try to hack the bitcoin address and get private key then is impossible, because of many factors and cryptography which is very good for people who trust on bitcoin.
