Individual megathreads for it might make more sense
Yes, that is how it has been. These are examples:

Sparrow Bitcoin Wallet
[Tutorial] BlueWallet - Bitcoin Wallet Discussion
Unstoppable wallet {User experiences}

If moderators are requested to pin these kind of threads, it would be better than a mega thread that we already have in beginners and help that has been pinned since long time ago.

Although if Joeyp come up with a thread about it (his suggestion), I doubt that it would be pinned. He can try it, create such a thread and let us see what would happen, if it would be pinned or not.

Although user still can create new thread about certain wallet if they missed megathread or have specific question.
The mod can probably pin one or two of them if the wallet is popular and there's tons of discussion around it. Although the question would be probably what kind of topic needs a new thread instead of posting it on the mega thread. From my experience pinned thread tends to get more views even from beginners, so that's that. Kinda hard to prove since it is based on my gut feeling in the end though.

So would be wise to have the general thread about various wallets in Wallet software board, like this one
If i understood you correctly, you want a general megathread for wallets that do not have their own child board under the wallet software child board, discussing about different wallets in one single megathread would really be messy. Individual megathreads for it might make more sense, but still users would need to create their own new thread in the wallet software child board, because it can easily be missed or ignored if posted in the megathread. Imo, nothing needs to change there and if the wallet you want to discuss about doesn't have its own child board, just post it in wallet software.

The only change is that [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why need to be updated or reformulated. So that it contains more information and updates existing information, during the last two years good software has been developed that can be used instead of relying on web wallets or closed source wallets.
Updating these services is important because even https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet offers poor suggestions.

There are many various wallets already and also various problems with them. For example, with Electrum, Atomic and Coinomi wallets.
So would be wise to have the general thread about various wallets in Wallet software board, like this one -
[General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?
.
But the problem is that this thread is already in Beginners & Help board for newbies, and to have it in another board too can be complicated task for admin.
May be forum members can help, how to solve the problem ? For example, just make the second duplicate thread, and then make changes in both threads.

I don't think anything needs to be changed or improved. Every time someone asks, members here always provide a link to their post. So there are no problems and nothing needs to be repaired, let alone make a special board for it.

Making duplicates is also not good because it makes it even more confusing, especially with different comments. Just one and it can be used as a reference for posts that really need a thread reference

If you read that thread, you would know it is a general thread with collective information and very basic introductions about some wallets. That thread was locked and no longer updated because Lauda left the forum years ago. That account was locked by theymos with request from Lauda.

Bitcointalk does not have responsibility to create and moderate threads for all Bitcoin wallets. It is their wallet softwares, their products and if they want, they have to create their announcement threads in Bitcointalk and moderate their ANN threads by their company resources.

You can use https://walletscrutiny.com/ and https://www.cryptowisser.com/wallets/ to get reviews about wallets. For basic reviews, go with a second website. For deep technical reviews, go with a first website.

I guess most people here misunderstand OP, he doesn't want another sub-board for every wallet mentioned but a general thread instead each one of them.

Its understandable to have it but it doesn't have to be a general thread, unless a representative of the wallet service make a thread about them there to explain what they have and all its features.

Wallet software board are more on issues encountered using specific wallet, discussions, and other questions so let the community ask something related to them there.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Anyone that is active on wallet software have no need of any new thread about bitcoin wallets. In my opinion, it is perfect as it is.
Might seem perfect and easy for you but not to a newbie or guest user who is not yet accustomed to the forum. A pinned post like this one found in the Electrum sub-board is an icing on the cake and it does no harm

OP this is a community thing. You can also create a very good thread like Lauda did and try to maintain it as much as possible and request for Admin to Pin it. They can pin it if it's very good and informative.
I do not know if I am missing something about this. It is on this forum that I know that Wasabi is no more a good coinjoin wallet. It is on this forum that I know that Sparrow and Samourai have Whirlpool which is a better coinjoin with remixing. Also on this forum that I know about Ledger unrecommended shards. Also it is this forum I know recently about the Trezor recently launched wallet with close source secure element which makes it close source et cetera. All these can be found on the wallet software. So is there any need to create any thread when we have a board for it already ? Anyone that is active on wallet software have no need of any new thread about bitcoin wallets. In my opinion, it is perfect as it is.

The referenced thread is has lots of undated information. A lot of things have changed. Jaxx Liberty wallet has been retired, Wasabi isn't the same privacy focused wallet we used to know, Xapo, Worst of the worst. I don't think it's even a wallet Etc

'The right to privacy matters'
hey JoeyP did a more reasonable thread here. But there are always issues about why does one wallet get its own spot and another does not.

It is tough as the name of the forum is bitcointalk. We do recognize other coins in alt section.  I have pushed scrypt in more than one section.

At Joey thanks for a more rational question.

I guess it falls to the btc purity test and its not pure enough.

we do have a hardware section in the the software section and it does mention Trezor wallets which are hardware and they include any other coins.

So JoeyP has a more legit point then some suggest.

Hence the 7 merits.

and here is a trezor thread

Electrum for example has its own board: Electum

You can also noticed that wallet software has child boards which are pertaining to a wallet or some wallet categories.

If you want to discuss about any other wallet that are not on the child boards, you can discuss it on wallet software.

But the problem is that this thread is already in Beginners & Help board for newbies, and to have it in another board too can be complicated task for admin.

Having a board about wallet which is wallet software is enough. If you have any issue with the wallet that you are using, ask a question there.

🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!
We do not need another board for this, we already have a dedicated child board for Wallet software under the Development & Technical Discussion

On that board, you can discuss anything about any wallets.

Well, technically, That board is for Bitcoin wallets specifically.  And it looks like the original poster is more into altcoins.  But I agree with you - I don't think we really need a whole separate board just for that altcoin wallets.  Its not exactly important when we're talking about Bitcoin ecosystem.

BTC price road to $80k
I don't think we need a more specific board for Atomic and Coinomi wallets in the wallet software board because this section is only for Bitcoin wallets.
Maybe it would be fit to put these two wallets in the altcoin section.

About the sticky thread "[General] Bitcoin Wallets" it should fit on "Beginners & Help" You don't need to duplicate this but you can try to make a new thread with some improvements just make sure it is far from plagiarism and post it to the board you want to post it then request for mods to pin this thread.
