Just to let you know that those who are still using BlueWallet v7.0.6 can update to v7.0.7 which has been announced by marcosrdz via github.

In the v7.0.7 release there are eight Features. For Fixes there are quite a lot of items. Refactors and Translations including Additions can be opened at https://github.com/BlueWallet/BlueWallet/releases/tag/v7.0.7

Thank you Charles, that helped.
I did entered wrong pass 10 times and storage was erased. I was able to import my wallet and set a new passphrase.

ALSO, I realized that wallet SW is correct and option to disable encryption actually works. Problem is with the iOS, once you prompted to enter old pass, you enter pass and press OK… OK button slides to the bottom while still NOT BEING PRESSED. It is iOS just hides keyboard. You still see button OK but it is very close to the bottom of the screen where there is a swipe area…. That is why you need to click OK once more but trying to hit the top of OK button, avoiding to touch swipe area. My mistake was that I was clicking OK but it was not registered due to overlapping with swipe area of the phone screen.

So, all works and we know 2 way to reset pass code.

Hello. How can I reset ( i want to change it actually ) Bluewallet encryption password in iOS App? I know my current password, I can successfully login to wallet. When I go to Settings/ Security and disable option for Storage "encryption and Password protection" I am getting a prompt to enter password. I enter password and click OK.... Wallet never returns back, keeps this ring rotating as it is doing something. I left it for an hour, still the same, the only option I have is to cancel the action which reverts to old password. Also I tried to delete wallet ( I have the same wallet still on my other device ) and delete whole App. When I reinstall App - it connects to old storage and works well with old password.

That means you have to delete it manually. Look for the wallet file on the iPhone. I remember I use to experience this on Electrum but on Windows. Also hope the wallet file did not backup on iCloud or something.

If you enter a wrong password 10 times, probably the wallet can delete itself in a way you might need to restore it with your seed phrase. But I am not so sure if I get it correctly. I mean what j saw on Reddit about it.

To clean the password protection fail the pass 10x

Although, I do that on Android and it kept requesting for password and nothing happened.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
Perhaps you checked mempool right after a block was found. Still, regardless of that, an overestimation of a few sats is well within the margin of error [it would've been a different story if it was underestimating the fees].
- Alternatively, you can also try connecting to a different Electrum server (apart from using the custom fee feature).
Even if the wallet is having good fee estimation, I prefer to just check the mempool. Either I make use of https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight or https://mempool.space/. I prefer to customize my fee. I am only referring to those that do not know about mempool and how they can customize the fee themselves in a way that the wallet will at least be almost accurate if not accurate.

But I want to make another payment today and it suggested 7 sat/vbyte as for fast transaction. I checked the mempool but I saw 3 sat/vbyte for slow, medium and fast confirmation. I hope Bluewallet developers will do something about this.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
Since I moved back to receiving payment on noncustodial wallet, I noticed that the fee estimation on Bluewallet has gotten worse. It estimated the fee very wrong the last time which was the first time I tried it since last 6 month. I overlooked it. But I want to make another payment today and it suggested 7 sat/vbyte as for fast transaction. I checked the mempool but I saw 3 sat/vbyte for slow, medium and fast confirmation. I hope Bluewallet developers will do something about this. Not that wallet fee estimation are perfect also but this estimation is worth complaining about.

Know that this is not a post about if Bluewallet is good or bad wallet. It is a good wallet that I can tell people to use.

If it is true that in the latest version of BlueWallet, every user can create a silent payment address, I can say that BlueWallet is the first open source Bitcoin-specific wallet that supports this feature, although I don't know if there are other Bitcoin-specific software wallets besides BlueWallet.
As the post you quoted mentions, Blue Wallet can only send to silent payment addresses. You can still not create a silent payment address with Blue Wallet and receive bitcoin to it. If you want that, you will have to test Cake Wallet or Silentium. The airgapped HW SeedSigner is also playing around with this functionality, and so is BitBox. Silent payments are still in beta and testing phases when it comes to software support.

What functionalities has the improvement/enhancement of the privacy features in Bluewallet lead/relate due to the development of the recent version.

As it is highlighted in the previous post  v.6.6.7 added the functionality to pay to the silent address (BIP352)generated by receiver

However even with the latest version  BlueWallet itself  is not able to generate the receiving SilentPayment address (i think such functionality will be implemented in  the nearest future, and when added the wallet will become fully compatible with BIP352 specs.)

the BlueWallet developers are now working on the integration of SilentPayments👉https://github.com/BlueWallet/SilentPayments
We now have multiple wallets that have already introduced this privacy feature or have signaled that they are working on implementing it. I like where that is going. But wait until the US government finds out. They might try to bring more democracy to Bitcoin and its developers.

Payment to silent address is already implemented by 6.6.7 Release which also added the bunch of new features

and so on.

I see developer is striving to add BlueWallet to the class of best mobile wallets by intensifying his work. Version 6.6.8 with minor improvements   has appeared just after 6.6.7

✔️ CoinJoin Wallet
There is a feature that I really like with BW and this feature is in the "Advanced" mode.
It's the ability to add your own entropy (which exists in other wallets too, but I haven't noticed it in a mobile wallet).

So the way I used it (for experiment - for the time being) is:
1. I downloaded and verified the BW APK from github.
2. I put it in a SD card.
3. I moved the SD card on a mobile device in which I run LineageOS. The device has never touched the internet. It was a cheap one that I bought, did a factory-reset, rooted it and added the custom OS.
4. I grabbed my dice and started playing around.
5. I used the dice to produce entropy and then fed that entropy into BW.

Pretty fun experiment (and I repeat, I know it's not very uncommon, but I liked it!)

silent payment is a static BTCitcoin address where the recipient can derive a normal BTC address anonymously. no one can see from the outside who or how many people have used a silent payment.
this increases privacy and user-friendliness enormously! Smiley

*Carefully guard and protect your seed phrase for asset safety.

I have published the assay on secure storage of SEED phrases on digital media using Tails OS and hardware pgp keys. This is in fact the guide wrapped into the narrative  form. I use described method to store all my SEED phrases, BlueWallet included. Hope it will help other fans of this mobile wallet to guard and protect their seed phrases.
