For those who still believe it is scam, please watch. A lot of questions were answered (development, people involved, how things started, upcoming implementatoins, etc. etc).

I am actually about to participate in their campaign recently but unfortunately, i haven't enough ONIONs for me to be eligible for their weekly stakes. This alt coin is not scam for sure because i have a friend who is indulging the ONIONs he got from their campaign and is really giving him a decent profit.

The guys created a fucking shop for the coin (deeponion.shop) Apparently, it is pretty normal for scammers to put so much effort is a simples dump scheme. Jesus, just admit you guys are wrong.

You can sell them @Cryptopia. Use the LTC market, higher prices are paid there as the lemmings get ready for tomorrows "airdrop" again and need the Onions in their wallet. Nobody of them is really selling, so you can offer at a high price, may take a short while but someone will buy it.

Look at the design philosophy by Cardano (now over 2Bil. Market cap and within the Top10): "Learning from the nearly 1,000 altcoins by embracing features that make sense", is is also scam, because they take good ideas and implement them?

To give you that, the community is thriving. Certainly also because of the DeepPoints and so called airdrops, which they are not, but a form of payment for doing marketing. Well, up to you, I consider it way too spammy and counterproductive.

But what makes a coin is not only community but also technical innovation and practical applicability.

DeepOnion is a copy & paste coin from BitcoinPlus (TOR) and Peercoin (PoS) and a few others where they took code from. Other than that there is no and no own innovation in the code. Not even the holy grail called "DeepSend" which is their word for coin mixing could be implemented to date, and I doubt it can be done by Crypto-Rainbow. He is too busy with censoring forums rather than doing any dev work. Nice graphics and a forum is not what I call innovation.

Practical applicability, well, to keep it simple, I would at least count active trading on exchanges a key feature a coin needs. DeepOnion is barely traded as nobody is selling, a direct implication of their requirement to show the coins in the wallet for the next marketing payment aka "airdrop".

So, there is only one thing DeepOnion has, an active community of members who do the groundwork for a handful of anonymous people in the background to drive up the price, so they can dump their millions of premined coins in the end. Good luck with that.

Perhaps you should visit the community forums and check out what is ongoing with the project. We have a great community and plan to revival some of the biggest names in crypto soon. They are hailing the 2000th post on their official announcement thread as if the community is growing and the token is a miracle.

I did a few calculations on this....

and posted the following on their thread.

"I can't believe this community has reached 2000 pages in such a short time.... no wait a minute I can actually based on the fact you asked punters to post on bitcointalk as a requirement for the airdrop or they got banned/nothing.

500 average airdrop recipients per week multiplied by minimum of ten posts = 5000 posts on bitcointalk minimum per week

5000 posts per week multiplied by old rules up to 16 airdrops = 80,000 posts minimum!!

The price is hypothetical and speculative. Look at the arbitrage between BTC and LTC alone in the same market. I sold my Onions yesterday for 2$ each, today it's at 1.64, in BTC still lower.

Nobody is really selling, other than a few completely overpriced positions one could make good money from. Sell in LTC market, convert to BTC and buy again at "market price" 1/3 cheaper. Would make sense, if the coin would be more actively traded or had any intrinsic value. Both it does not.

So dream on and continue with the hype and "onions to the moon" spam all over. I made 1000$ yesterday for free, so I'm not complaining. I laughed only about the stupidity of their lemming community

Deeponion community is very active, developers also developed a road map. Deeponion transmission is very fast, low fees and anonymous features u, is its inherent advantage. Can only say that the marketing of onions well done, and now changes in airdrop rules will also attract more people to join. Anyway, I value it, I will make my decision very carefully.
