I thought we were done talking about Warren Buffett, it's been long i read a discussion about him and what he thinks about BTC. Warren has made his mind up, and he is not interested in BTC, i think we can accept that, what we should challenge is when he spews bullshit about the network that is untrue, as for if he is ever going to be interested in BTC, i really do not care.

Maybe people think that there's change of mind towards bitcoin since somehow they see those famous personalities who hate or say something bad about bitcoin before which turn to be a bitcoin investor now.

But I really think its so hard to convince the old man to invest with bitcoin since for sure that he's already fine with many ventures and he's still think that bitcoin is gambling token base on his past statement. Maybe best for people to forget about those guys which have negative thoughts on bitcoin and maybe they should focus on those people show their interest to  put some money on this coin and believe that this is good asset to invest.

With how old it its, why he just won't relax and put the show and awe from BTC away?  Grin
I mean, if a person is that rich, he can say whatever he wants, and it won't stick too much for the communities just because it's obvious that BTC is great in so many things that for him would be seen as bad or a Ponzi scheme..

It shouldn't bother anybody of us, in reality, because it wouldn't affect the market, and in turn, us, that much.

Guys, in defence of Buffett it is really much more Munger who was anti BTC, calling it rat-poison etc.

Buffet has said a few things though.

1. The crypto investment boom will "probably not end well". And he was certainly right in many aspects on this. (Note he did not distinguish between BTC, and "crypo".

2. He can't value BTC because is value is dictated only my demand, not by any kind of yield. (He is also right about that).

3. There are many things he can invest in. He only invests in things he understands. (Which means, there are many great investments he will pass on, as he does just fine investing in what he does understand).

I do believe Todd and Ted (who will run the company after he passes), will dip their toes into Bitcoin. When they do, that will be epic.

We all know Mr. Buffett is hater. He used to call Bitcoin a "scam" many times. But I believe people can change. We've seen people like Larry Fink, Michael Saylor, Donald Trump, Mark Cuban, and Robert Kiyosaki change their mind about Bitcoin. They hated it once, only to realize they were wrong.

Imagine what will happen if Warren Buffett goes all in BTC. Will his moves be enough to "pump" market prices all the way to Mars? Only time will tell.

Do you think Warren Buffett will buy BTC someday? Or will he stay a hater until the bitter end? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I think that Buffett is a representative of conservative investing and he will never change his mind about Bitcoin. In addition, he is 94 years old, and it seems to me that he does not have much time left in this life to change his life principles. He has a large enough capital to realize any dream and any idea, but he is still focused only on its management, he has repeatedly said that he likes to manage his investments most of all, this is what he does. And after his death, he wants to bequeath a huge part to charity, it seems that he has planned everything and not only during his life but also after death.

He'll buy but it'll be late although that won't be a problem since he's already one of the richest people in the world. Some of the people that hated Bitcoin but are now fans of Bitcoin are only doing this to gain from Bitcoin popularity. Example, Donald Trump is only supporting Bitcoin to gain the votes of Bitcoin supporters, others too have their reasons as when you support Bitcoin, you gain a lot of audience as some people are looking for people that'll keep giving them hope that Bitcoin is going to be a success.

Robert Kiyosaki is one of the people supporting Bitcoin to increase his online audience because he gains more audience the more he talks about Bitcoin. Many rich people don't want you to be rich but they prefer to take all the wealth and make you work for them to get paid.

I think Warren Buffett hates BTC because he doesn't understand how it works. And he never will considering his age. But who knows? Some people change their minds at a later stage in life. If Donald Trump did it, so can Mr. Buffett. Eventually, his children and grandchildren will get in the game. The crypto revolution is inevitable. Either you embrace it, or get left behind in the dust. We need more people into Bitcoin to help advance "hyperbitcoinization". Perhaps, Bitcoin will become legal tender worldwide? Only time will tell. Cheesy

Warren is good at where he's at, a place where he spent time in building wealths of knowledge. At his age he wouldn't consider researching on the new age financial technologies, because of his success in the stock market. Assuming Bitcoin was there in his early days, probably he'd jump on it, like you predicted of his offsprings. So, if he'd reconsider doing it now, I think it's quite late, but if it's ever done, definitely the media will carry it.

I agree with your thinking, if he had more time I think he would invest in bitcoin, but obviously he doesn't have much time left to research and get involved in new investment areas at his age. It makes perfect sense that he decided not to invest in bitcoin and spent most of his time completing unfinished investment plans at the age of 94, IMO.

Personally I don't think he will invest in bitcoin but I hope that even if he doesn't invest in it, he will change his attitude towards it and give a more fair assessment of bitcoin. Because things have changed a lot, bitcoin ETFs have been approved and many governments have legalized it...so not only him but anyone who used to disregard it should reconsider.

Many investors hate him because he hates bitcoin, but after all, he is a legend in the field of financial investment, we should not deny that. Whether he invests in bitcoin or not, he deserves respect.

Ah yes, the "Rat poison squared" hater of Bitcoin who is 94 years of age at this
stage. He is past caring about investments, he is dabbling to keep his mind
active and there is no way he would go "all in" on anything especially now.

Anyway as I have said before Bitcoin is bigger now than any one entity. The
bigger picture will be Microsoft and whether it will add Bitcoin to its corporate
reserves. Like Buffet it could move the markets but probably not as big as people think.

Do you think that the voting that they hold really matters much to the eventual decision to ba made?  Grin And, indeed it sounds much more promising than Buffett opening his pandora box of money in the long run.

Warren Buffet is rich enough to not care anymore about making money. To be honest, I really don't care if Buffet becomes a pro-crypto guy, or he stays a hater. We shouldn't rely on billionaires and "whales" to pump the BTC price, because they would also have the power to dump the Bitcoin price anytime they want. I totally understand why the haters don't like Bitcoin. Most of the former BTC haters like Bitcoin because they want to buy low and sell high, not because they appreciate blockchain technology or the "be your own bank" concept.

I would say that they would regulated not to do so, however, you are right - they may be someone to use their own wealth for no good  Grin In the end, Buffett is just a man. Whereas the community of BTC will grow stronger each day, making it better innovation-wise and otherwise.

Well, for that matter, maybe he's been saving for a few years for a bitcoin op because he's a businessman first and foremost. Even if we say that he seems to be negative about bitcoin,
do we know that he is only doing that because he is looking at his influence to see if he can lower the price of bitcoin, and when that happens, who knows that he is using it as an opportunity
to accumulate his bitcoin, right?

It is possible for that to happen, or he is actually making a purchase. A businessman when he sees that every time the value of bitcoin does not decrease,
of course you will think like a tycoon businessman.

Was there ever a case in which he pulled Bitcoin down in recent years by saying something?
Just curious, wouldn't say that he would be able to do so.. Grin

Last time I checked Warren Buffett is 94 years old if I’m not mistaken and sometimes I wonder how he gets to invest excluding bitcoin investment. If he’s not interested now he can never be interested aside the names listed, I genuinely believe they think bitcoin can be a support in any way that’s the major reason they trusted bitcoin but trusting 100% is still what i don’t expect anyone to do. If Warren Buffett accept bitcoin adoption there’s a probability bitcoin market might face a little trend, what do we all expect seeing his influence in terms of investing but after a while everything becomes normal and that’s why no investor can permanently ride with bitcoin market besides investors love it this way, if op never created this topic I had zero thought about Warren Buffett  embracing bitcoin someday and it’s normal.

"Having spent most of his life hating Bitcoin"? Don't you mean, "having spent his last years hating Bitcoin"? After all, Bitcoin became a thing in 2009. Buffett comes way back where banks were at the top. An era where cash was "King" (and still is) and investing in stocks was the hype of the moment.
I agree with you. Buffet is a very old person and he started his investment career many decades ago while Bitcoin has less than 2 decades in its life, since 2009 now it has been existing for 15 years only.

Quote
Once Bitcoin came in, it brought a new asset class with it. Now crypto is more popular than stocks and even traditional banking (through "De-Fi").
I don't really think your statement is based on any record. Cryptocurrency industry includes DeFi is very smaller than other markets, traditionally like stock market, from total market cap and popularity. In future, blockchain technology will be human civilization trend and cryptocurrency industry and market will become bigger considerable than now. But now, it's not true to say this industry and market is bigger or more popular than stock market.

Bitcoin is not that difficult to understand, if he takes the time to learn it, he will understand. Age is not an issue for him because he is a professional investor and he has advisors by his side, if he wants to learn about it there are thousands of ways. I believe he didn't like it because he didn't want others to get rich easily, he didn't want to share his wealth with others. I believe that is also why many billionaires have publicly expressed their dislike of bitcoin.

Also, they may publicly oppose bitcoin in the media but that doesn't mean they can't quietly invest in it. This is a financial game, the winner is the one who makes the most money, everything else is irrelevant. So I hardly believe anything other people say but instead I like to look at what they do. I wouldn't be surprised if one day people who claim to hate bitcoin end up owning large amounts of bitcoin.

Warren Buffett, Born on 30th August 1930 i.e. he is 94 years old according to calculations. Having spent most of his life hating Bitcoin, I don't think Warren Edward Buffet will spend the rest of his life loving Bitcoin. But if famous people like Warren Buffet adopts Bitcoin and adopt it as one of the main tools of business, Bitcoin will be pumped, albeit temporarily.

"Having spent most of his life hating Bitcoin"? Don't you mean, "having spent his last years hating Bitcoin"? After all, Bitcoin became a thing in 2009.
