We all know Mr. Buffett is hater. He used to call Bitcoin a "scam" many times. But I believe people can change. We've seen people like Larry Fink, Michael Saylor, Donald Trump, Mark Cuban, and Robert Kiyosaki change their mind about Bitcoin. They hated it once, only to realize they were wrong.

Imagine what will happen if Warren Buffett goes all in BTC. Will his moves be enough to "pump" market prices all the way to Mars? Only time will tell.

Do you think Warren Buffett will buy BTC someday? Or will he stay a hater until the bitter end? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Who knows if he has not already bought BTC without declaring it publicly, that's the beauty of BTC that no one can know if he bought it or not. I think he must have realized till now that his choices were wrong and if he had adopted them, he would be making a lot of money, but don't know what is stopping him now. Because the ETFs approval was enough to convince a lot of people that it's legit, not a scam or some big pyramid scheme.

If he goes all in and adopts BTC at full potential then I think it won't be wrong to say the market will pump but the more important factor will be how much he will be investing in BTC as the price in the long run will be affected by the demand and supply and the news will have short term impact. Overall BTC is performing well at the moment and people are thinking it's due to Halloween, while I don't think it really is.

I think he’ll stay a hater until the end, which let’s be honest, probably isn’t that far away. I think he’s probably too proud a man to admit being wrong. He’s so rich that he doesn't need to look for new (what he may see as risky) investments.

You know very well billions of dollars he has in stock market and traditional financial markets and you expected him to love Bitcoin? Lol. I have watch some of his clip interview and he has never for once liked Bitcoin, always the negative words and I'm sure he knows what's he is doing, he didn't want to endorse Bitcoin so it wouldn't be like he his giving green lights for his troops to buy, this is because he doesn't have half of the circulation, there is no use in marketing in in his place.

One thing in certain about this old men in finance that are quick to disrespect Bitcoin, they lowkey have some of it to see how it's going. Don't be surprised if that man has gulped some Bitcoin ETF from Blackrock just incase the market runs they wouldn't miss out but because of what they said initially, they don't want thier reputation should be taken for granted, so they wouldn't come publicly to say they have Bitcoin investment somewhere.

Warren Buffet is content with his traditional world and has better integrity than the names you mentioned. But peradventure he decided to invest in Bitcoin, this will certainly impact the market and huge and sustained pumps would follow. This will be similar to the former days when Elon Musk was an ardent supporter and I am sure many other big names will follow because of him.

No, he will not buy Bitcoin, he is already "made." Do you really mean a bitter end for Warren Buffet because of Bitcoin? That's not possible.

There is a 50/50 chance that this will happen. Either it will happen or it won't.Smiley

No, not at all. They realized that they can make money. Smiley Or use it as a political tool to influence voters.

I have 2 thoughts:
- Buffett is quite old and therefore conservative and far from the world of technology. These moments may be factors that don't allow Buffett to change his mind about bitcoin (he just may not understand what it is and how it works).
- We didn't look into Buffett's pocket and it may be that he already "quietly" owns BTC.

Imagine what will happen if Warren Buffett goes all in BTC. Will his moves be enough to "pump" market prices all the way to Mars? Only time will tell.
Of course, his actions will have a positive impact on the cryptomarket (and also on his fund). Many investors (including institutional ones) will follow his example.

Peter Schiff hates bitcoin but he accepts btc for his gold which is pretty weird. Don't trust these snakes.

Lol, yes he really is a conniving snake oil salesman, who really has been acting quite disgracefully. The irony is that he is 99,9% of the way to becoming a bitcoiner. He's sooooo close, yet so far...

The day he becomes a bitcoiner will probably be the day that bitcoin dies. So I’d rather have him hating on bitcoin forever. He hates bitcoin, it goes higher, he hates more, it goes even higher. Eventually he will go crazy and drown in his hate but somehow I don’t want that neither. I want him to continue doing what he does the way he is doing right now forever so bitcoin will keep mooning forever.

Warren on the other hand only speaks when someone asks about bitcoin so people don’t hate him as much as they hate Schiff which is the smarter thing to do. Peter talks about bitcoin all they every day will that man ever shut up?

People do change their minds when they finally realized that their views about something is wrong, especially something pertaining investment assets that can yield profits, when they notice people are making profits as supposed getting scammed and the system proven to be reliable over a period of time, and in the case of Bitcoin ,it has been tested and trusted, Therefore, expect more people and Billionaires like Warren Buffett to change their mind and invest into Bitcoin, This is why retail investors like you and I need to take advantage of this early information we've got and position ourselves Before the Billionaires get in and buy up the Bitcoins available, as Bitcoin is a limited asset.

Personally I could care less.  If anyone has closely paid attention to what Warren Buffet has said about bitcoin, you'd notice that he's just breathing worthless hot air.  He's admitted on several occasions that he has absolutely no idea how bitcoin works, but yet continues to talk shit about it, which make him ignorant.  Nothing more ignorant that talking down about something that you don't even remotely understand.  Guy doesn't understand tech what so ever, not just bitcoin.

Warren Buffett, Born on 30th August 1930 i.e. he is 94 years old according to calculations. Having spent most of his life hating Bitcoin, I don't think Warren Edward Buffet will spend the rest of his life loving Bitcoin.

Most of his life? Math is really your strong point, isn't it?
For 79 years of his life, Bitcoin didn't even exist, most of the crypto owners in 3rd world countries don't even have the chance to live that long with Bitcoin by their side!

Anyhow love how coiners are so fixated on people who don't like crypto and allow them to live rent-free in their minds forever, what do you care what other people do with their money? Isn't this about freedom? Besides, if Buffett or Microsoft don't buy doesn't this mean more cheap coins for us?

If Warren Buffett had the will to invest in Bitcoin, he would have invested in Bitcoin a long time ago. If older people invest in Bitcoin, maybe many people would have expressed interest in investing in Bitcoin at their old age.

Warren Buffett's net worth is $144.9 billion which made him seated among the top global wealthiest entrepreneurs. To my best of knowledge, such worth of Warren being invested on bitcoin can only prompt a skyrocket but can't take the price of bitcoin to a limit of max value but aproaching to the mars is feasible though. 😁
Bitcoin market cap 1.4 Trillion.
Bitcoin price $71.6K
Circulating supply 19.7 Million.

Even he use all of his money to invest in Bitcoin, it only make the Bitcoin market cap become 1.54 Trillion and the price would be $78.1K.

It's not much, remember Bitcoin market cap is already very high now, it's not something that can be easily manipulated by rich people.

Bitcoin enthusiasts has known him of sabotaging bitcoin based on his blind believe of bitcoin being a scamming invention. Sincerely I don't know his future decision on bitcoin because it isn't expected that everyone or the top notch global billionaires must adopt bitcoin likewise you all don't know that I'll be into this bitcoin community, so also we can't determine individual decisions following bitcoin adoption.

A very successful and wealthy businessman as Warren Buffett will certainly have a significant influence on so many prominent men like him about Bitcoin, so changing his mind about Bitcoin will certainly impact greatly to Bitcoin adoption because if he changes his mind about Bitcoin that's how others will also accept it, but the only area that's getting me skeptical about the chance for him to accept Bitcoin is that if is something he would have considered he could have done it a long time ago considering the fact that so many others like him who thought at first that Bitcoin was not good have come to the realization that Bitcoin is a good investment but still he did not change his mind, so for that reason I don't think he would accept it later on.

I guess its normal for people to hate something that they didn't understand at first especially if they have some interest to protect. But for sure later on Warren Buffet would able to realize that Bitcoin is worthy asset and its not all about investment with this coin since there so many things to use it.

The current market cap accumulated by bitcoin and the whole ecosystem would provably change the mind of those skeptical people. Sine instead of hating it for sure that there would be time that these guy including this iconic name would provably show up some interest to participate on investing on bitcoin. Warren Buffet is well known risk taker so provably that maybe in future they compete with other institution to invest with bitcoin.

"Warren Buffett" Can't happen, the man literally called bitcoin a scam or was it a ponzi scheme  some few years back Roll Eyes because everyone took it as an asset that will not see success in its digital life and cant compete with the likes of gold(XAU), but hey Bitcoin has gone mainstream and doing very fine & the rest is history Cool

Btw, these Billionaire guys should not be taken for their word because they usually don't do the investing themselves,  they have portfolio managers and the alike and could have a stake in crypto as a diversification mechanism of investment to avoid putting everything in one basket 🧺.

Totally agree.
And what stops him from doing it silently, bragging about it?

It would be significant for the Bitcoin space if he does indeed invest as this man is among the top 10 richest in the world, with nearly $150 billion in net worth as of this year. Even if he invests just a portion of his wealth, it would likely lead to a more bullish price for Bitcoin. Additionally, just the knowledge that he’s invested would create hype, especially during a bullish season.

Currently, there’s no proof that he has invested; based on my knowledge, his stance is that he doesn’t invest in speculative assets, and he considers Bitcoin to be one of those. However, we should remain optimistic that one day he might change his stance, as many investors who once criticized Bitcoin have now become significant holders. To name a few, we have...

[1] Larry Fink of BlackRock,
During a recent CNBC interview, the CEO of BlackRock, Larry Fink, said he was “wrong” about Bitcoin before calling the decentralized asset “digital gold” and a “legitimate” financial instrument.

The head of the $10.6-trillion asset management firm told CNBC’s Jim Cramer, “I was a skeptic, a proud skeptic,” before studying the nascent asset and changing his mind about Bitcoin

[2] Michael Saylor
Quote

Back in 2013, Michael Saylor, CEO of business intelligence giant MicroStrategy, posted a tweet against Bitcoin , forecasting a grim future for the asset. Fast-forward to 2020, during which Saylor's company now holds a major bullish position in BTC.

[3] Elon Musk
Elon Musk has performed a sudden U-turn on bitcoin over concerns about its energy usage, and says his electric car firm Tesla will no longer accept the cryptocurrency as payment – but will his decision have an impact, and could Tesla turn to an alternative currency?

It is better for Bitcoin to gradually gain acceptance among small investors than for a single individual to buy a large amount. People like Warren Buffett investing in Bitcoin could lead to an increase in the price but if he dumps the price will also drop. But his involvement could attract more sceptics like him to Buy Bitcoin which could will not also be bad for Bitcoin. I read that his company Berkshire Hathaway is heavily invested in Brazilian fintech Nu Holdings Ltd and the bank is crypto-friendly. This shows that he is indirectly investing in cryptocurrencies.

Honestly, I don't like it when we keep making assumptions that this person or that person, this institution or that institution investing in bitcoin will make the price of bitcoin go up. Bitcoin does not depend on anyone, so don't try to attribute bitcoin's growth to any famous name because bitcoin can still grow without them. If they invest in bitcoin, they are the ones who will benefit, not that they will bring much benefit to bitcoin.

Personally, I don't care if Microsoft or Buffett invest in bitcoin because bitcoin can still grow for years without them. If they invest in it then it is for their benefit, we do not benefit, instead we should focus on accumulating as much bitcoin as possible before they buy all our bitcoins.
Also, as we all know Warren Buffett has been publicly criticizing bitcoin for years, why would we expect such a person to invest in bitcoin and think that will make bitcoin better?

Well, it would be epic if someone like Warren Buffett finally purchases Bitcoin for personal purposes because if there has been anyone who has been so vocal in his staunch hatred for Bitcoin, it is him so just as when these big whales buy Bitcoin and it affects price I believe his will too because I don't think he'd want to purchase a small amount.
On another hand, it's quite unlikely for someone who views the digital coin as a virus to just indulge in it even though the Op mentioned individuals who where haters but later turned before him but compared to Warren Buffett, these other guys are saints.

And Buffet is not a politician to do it to sway the minds of people - he does need to dig into it and the pluses should outweigh the other factors for him.
And he can just do it silently, while still putting a 'scam' sign on BTC  Grin That would be the funniest scenario.
