People love to fawn over anyone with money - doesn't matter how they got it, if they're super rich, they're admired for it. Whereas as people like Assange - who's done a genuine public service - is smeared and murdered and no one gives a damn! And, no, he's NOT a rapist, has NEVER been charged with any crime, meaning the arrest warrant was invalid all along, as a senior UK lawyer said - because you must charge someone with a crime to extradite them. No one has ever accused Assange of rape.

From the European Centre For Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) website: “Sweden has been condemned 17 times by international judicial bodies for not respecting...the prohibition to extradite to countries where there is a risk of torture or inhumane and degrading treatment, with unacceptable and bloody consequences for the individuals involved and their families.”
