Hello. Yes, exactly they will be reduced from the total supply. Speaking about assets with gateway, for example wBTC, they are remain at the gateway.

When they start with the idea, they have fixed a maximal supply of the token. If many of the tokens will get burned, the price could rise (Market manipulation possible!) but the original use case why they have fixed the totally supply would be affected as well.
Would be prefer to increase the price for creating a token. That would reduce the spamtokens. 1000$ at least. If anybody want to build a business, the have to invest more than 1000 bucks!

At first, Waves was one of the projects that are the promising. However, their development trend has lost some momentum at this moment, but I think Waves still has a huge potential. Furthermore, there isn’t plausible burning token.

Yep, am just a bit disappointed I have to spend a fee ( even if a measly 0.001 wav) for every spam token, I receive almost daily. I'd like to burn. Burning should be free of charge imo.

I believe there are still some Waves platform faucets that are active which you can get a small amount of Waves. I am not sure if it's enough to pay for the burn fee but you can probably just keep milking the faucets every hour or so to try to cover the fees. I have too many junk coins sent to my wallet that I won't even bother burning them.

That's true, it is weird and it can be risky for fiat gateways and their audit process.

when tokens are burned they doesn't disappear from the blockchain. They are just stuck on it and still visible.
Someone burning a fiat token provide a straight profit to the gateway.
Those fiat gateway accounts should be audited and I'm not sure if it can be explained. Hope there won't be any legal problem.

Waves is really interesting project in cryptocurrency industry and I am very glad that I possess some coins of this cryptocurrency as a premises for watching on how Waves blockchain ecosystem is developing.

I don't think that a free burn option would be viable, to burn tokens you must interact with waves' blockchain and it's not possible without paying fees (that's the whole point to incentivize node operators)
A way to achieve free burning of tokens is to open the possibility by people who could like to collect the "burned" tokens to actually get them, at the condition that they would pay for the transaction. I'm rather sure you'd find such people, some people like to collect garbage in the hope to find some diamonds there. Therefore the burning feature of the wallet should be allowed to trash the tokens rather than burn them, and people who enlist for having a foot in the trash bin would pay the fees and get them. If too many people enlist to become trash bins, then the trash would have be distributed randomly among them, and each of them pays the fees of the trash they receive. And everybody is happy.
