If you go to coinmarketcap and look at the global market cap chart, you see that the rise of BTC is due to outsiders getting in and not because of altcoin holders selling for BTC (with it's rising rate, that is a given, really. Otherwise, it would be carnage). The market cap of all crypto currencies combined rose almost two billion in the last two weeks. This, as a default, rises the value of most crypto currencies.

Nice to see the bitcoin price going up. The rise in price since the end of the WAVES ICO automatically translates to an increased market cap for waves (at 30 000 btc invested, with every dollar the bitcoin price has gone up results in an additional 30 000 usd being added to Waves market cap which will most likely produce a nice intro price). That said also means those who've profited with bitcoin could bring in nice buys once waves hits exchanges given the scale of WAVES marketing and adoption thus far. Its all about market cap... first mile stone is 100 million. Then 500 million... a billion and so forth. Good luck to all... hold your waves and smile all the way to the bank in a years time.
no!
as an ico investor you want to see marketcap increase after exchanges.
as an wave investor who bought it for btc you dont want to see btc rising before exchanges

That depends entirely on how much bitcoin you own and how much of it you spent on waves. That is why the fundemental rule is never to invest more than you are willing to lose... I see you your point though and that is why smart money always gets in during the crowdsale.

For me personally, Im at a point where I wont easily invest in anything post ICO unless its something phenominal and I have enough money to burn. Getting in as early as possible eliminates the risks by a a huge percentage. Either way... getting in now is still better than burning even more money when the price hits a dollar... Good luck to you my friend.

If you look at the dollar values (e.g. at coinmarketcap), you'll see that they aren't really bleeding. Most major alts are rising in value atm, just not compared to BTC. I wouldn't call that bleeding.

12 hours of this weekend left and I see 0 transactions in waves network. I know there was a friday, hang-over, odd day of russia, whatever. Could team post status update?

I guess we will know if ico transfers start when we see transactions appearing in the block details under the community tab?

we can use that one: https://nodes.wavesnodes.com/addresses/balance/3P9o3ZYwtHkaU1KxsKkFjJqJKS3dLHLC9oF

1 Confirmation? This might not be so accurate.

Damn, have been out of crypto for a while.Checked the Waves project lately and have to say it looks very promising.Good to see some big names from the NXT community directly involved.

Fiat gateways directly integrated on a decentralized platform is a much needed feature for crypto mass adoption.Along with all it's use cases, Waves clearly has a huge upside potential.

I regret not being part of the ICO.Guess would have to buy some OTC or should i wait for it to hit the exchanges? Decision time. Undecided
Only 2 more days to wait, and then you done have to do any escrow.

Is jl777 still advising WAVES, or has his roll finished with the ICO?

Jl777 is not team member, Waves is planning to implement later crosschain asset protocol from SuperNET for BTC similar blockchains.

Ahoy Wavers... excited about launch tomorrow.

Question: I havent had time to download the waves client yet and will most likely only get to to it tomorrow or the following day. Will my waves be safe in my ICO account till then?

Launch will be on 14th June, not tomorrow

Thanks for feedback... do you know if I must have a lite client before launch? Surely my ICO account will house my waves untill I download the wallet no?

Of course Your ICO account must be the safest place to keep your WAVEs!

Cheers
