Do you know if WAVES is planning to use any code from NXT?

Waves is not NXT fork. It is being built on top of Scorex framework.

Can WAVES be staked like BigUp?

Waves will be inflation-less system, limited supply.

There will be incentives. You need to wait for new tech papers.

Announcements and updates will be showing up during the ICO.

First one incoming soon.
I'm sorry but POS consensus algorithm, means it can be staked?

The Waves testnet will have a Nxt like consensus mechanism, which is also POS. Next there will be new POS implemented and some scalability approach will be revealed.

Please wait for details. I can`t reveal too much before official announcements and papers appear.

And don't forget that YoBit or another exchange can buy a lot of waves to trade them before the official start.

Actually, I think they could even start trading now before ICO ends :-)

They probably didn't do it because of the shit LISK had to endure after doing this. Because there was not a signle address where the coins were sent it was difficult for the community to check whether the coins were really invested or not.

As a result they had to post screenshots and videos of the vault to prove it.

This method works fine and there is only a 15 minute windows where the coins are not in multisig as they have a script running to send the coins over.

Yes, this method seems pretty transparent. I can simply plug in the address that I used for the ICO into a block explorer and verify my funds were sent from the hot wallet to the multisig. If there was any skimming going on, I am sure that this would be brought to light rather quickly.
I confirmed my funds i used address to send the coins goes to the hotwallet Wink

1 person invested about 3000 BTC in Waves ICO, so he owns 60% of waves right now!

Waves ICO address: https://blockchain.info/address/3DWBSSAue32YS8PcW2gLs6m52BCCv3UgDA

See the transaction numbers of that 1 person's consecutive investments in red color, they are WITHIN ONE MINUTE ON 4/12/16 23:26 (and maybe more later):

-SNIP-

I envy your investigative skills Smiley
The transactions in red is me transferring BTC to coinbase  multisig wallet from the ICO server hot wallet

What's the use of an Escrow if you have full access of the ICO funds? Anyone from the dev team should not have access to the funds while the ICO is on going and the project hasn't  been completed yet imho.
Sorry I don't think so. you can see all the funds in the multisig account, from which we can't withdraw.

Wonder why they werent send coinbase to begin with: other ICO set up a Digital Vault and funds are sent directly to it .. i could be wrong

Well at least the decrease speed isn't that high anymore. I hope to still own a few k coins at the end of the ico. Smiley
Hahahaha, It is sure to have some coins at the end (I hope and pray for it). What really matters is the value of each coin at the end of ICO and how it develops the project, which still is not clear (I read some controversy about who is in and who´s not).
